We travel with a Microsoft Surface everywhere we go. I edit my videos on it & use it to backup my pictures and vides while we travel. It’s light and the best travel laptop on the market in my opinion.

We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you travel.

We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.
amzn.to/35AWqUs
Travel Plug that works in pretty much any country & has four USB ports. A must for any traveler.

Want to grab some great gear? We have used Osprey Packs for years & swear by them. Check them out here
Need some clothing for your next adventure? Patagonia has some pretty good stuff for all kinds of travelers.

This guys is so passionate about travel he got me pumped up for an East Coast RT.
c32amgftw :) get traveling my friend! all the best!
I liked Portland, though I really like maine in general. I used to take summer schooner rides with my grandfather and a group of his friends when I was a kid. nice towns, great scenery and coast. though I do remember the roads having issues with the freeze thaw. thanks for watching and commenting!
Cool! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I'm just going to say this now. No REAL Chicagoan calls it the Willis tower.
No real anyone calls it the Willis Tower. I'm from Seattle and I call it the Sears Tower.
Im from Charleston Maine I call it the sears tower.
I'm from Sweden and I call it "the Sears tower. No wait, it's something else now, but oh well".
We have been there three times and unfortunately have spent the majority of the time in manhatten, but we did get to Brooklyn and the Bronx. I am hoping to get to NY in the next year to do some more on location videos for new York. with this video I only had about 45 seconds per city so it was tough. please let me know what the best places in NY are so I can visit them and hopefully film them next year! all the best! and thanks for watching and commenting!
Couple things not mentioned about LA: BEACHES (Malibu, Santa Monica, Huntington, etc), Grand Central market, MUSEUMS (Griffith observatory, LACMA, the Broad, etc), theme parks (Six flags, Knott's Berry farm, etc), watch a show at the Hollywood Pantages, see a concert at Disney Hall or a show at the Hollywood Bowl, there's so much to do!
I thought someone might like that :) most people don't watch to the end but for those that do we try to put something at the end (if we have anything). on the route 66 video the beginning has him saying get your kicks on route 66 :)
thanks for watching and commenting!
I live in San Francisco and I was scared we didn't make your list! It's foggy 70% of the time here though so I always feel bad when I see tourists visit on an off day but definitely come visit! It's never too cold nor hot, there's so much food, and there is such diversity that we get warned growing about how different it is in other places in the United States, and it's true. We literally are a crucible of culture, food, people, and attractions with mediterranean weather and I love it!
I prefer San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, Boston, New York.
Seattle and San Francisco is fantastic
journeytothestars7 Switch NYC with Chicago. Trust me, it's way better
Boston isn't a left wing shit hole bro.
If you go to SF make sure to download the poop app... Gives you a heads up when poop is reported on the sidewalk.
I am sure you will. have a great trip!
Awesome... So much enjoyed and informative. Thank you
Exactly the video i was looking for, hope to visit San Antonio this year. Thank you Wolter. Keep up the good work :)
san fran is awesome (even if it gets a big foggy :)
I loved Williamsburg! Such a fun stop. Thanks for comments and tips! I really appreciate it. All the best! mark
I loved my time in America. San Francisco to me was a particularly wonderful city.
#1 radiator springs california
THE GZ Thanks Disney ;)
THE GZ Route 66 starts in Chicago
Love the enthusiasm, it's infectious! :)
Seattle, Minneapolis, great cities, greetings from Spain, and I hope visiting USA someday
I just love the excitement on his face
popoola kban thanks :)
Love your videos:)
Total agree on your top 10! Happy travels! ☀️😎
Chicago best of all!
I hear its a really great place to live
I'm from Boston
You got such an awesome way to present things and super awesome energy, loved the video! Planning to move to the US for a while next year, damn, it's gonna be a Gre-eeat time I see :) Thanks for the video!
hi
awesome! have a great time!
I think you need to revisit LA, it has really been fixed up over the last 20 years. Use Atlas Obscura as a travel guide and visit funky places like Clifton's, the Last Bookstore and the Museum of Jurrassic Technology. Check out a play in Topanga, the beaches in Malibu and walk Main Street and Abbott Kinney in Venice and Santa Monica. I am always finding something new here; I just discovered the Arts District and it is like a whole new world.
Super cool video! thank you ;)
As a tourist I've been to a few so far, Miami, LA, Vegas, NY, San Francisco, Tampa in Florida, Washington and Newark in New Jersey, and Phoenix Arizona and North Carolina on my trips to the US so far. My favourites were probably San Francisco, LA and Florida although the weather was really hot
VERY useful. thank you.
I've been to NYC, Chicago, Washington DC, Boston and Los Angeles. I honestly think that NYC is the coolest place ever and that I would definitely go back! Great video. :D
Great video!
I love your videos walter. You have pretty good information. I love the US and I'm glad you made this video. I been to europe before is nice but the US just beats it
San Diego!!! :)) thanks for the shout out!
Not all of them but some I do. Eventually when I get to film in each city there will be videos from them don't worry :)
If u want Americana go to Philadelphia
Philly is nothing special. If u want history and American charm, go to Boston. If u want a big metropolis city that symbolizes American greatness, go to NY. Philly offers lesser experiences for both of these things.
I agree. I have seattle in my top 10 towns in the west video.
very cool video!
I would recemond if you like old small nice and cute places go to Helen Georgia or Savannah Georgia.
Maybe even Boston MA
Amazing video
Thanks mate, this narrowed down my list quite a bit. How many days do you recommend spending in each city?
I am from Illinois, but not Chicago. I love the city though.
Great video! Want to visit all the cities you mentioned so badly, only have been to L.A. and San Francisco so far and loved them, especially San Francisco.
rock star. thanks!
This video is very good! The best cities to visit for a first time traveler to the USA is Fort Lauderdale, Key West, Saint Augustine and Richmond.
I love living in Miami it’s legit the best city ever
come on wolter, philly should be on the list
My mom said the same thing :) she is a huge fan. We will actually be there later this summer, so what do you recommend?
woltersworld Hey Wolter Im a big fan and your reply means a lot to me. you should definitely do a 5 things you will love and hate for philadelphia. I would recommend eating at Pat's or Geno's or both for a cheesesteak, visit the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, theres the Philadelphia museum of art where Rocky ran up the steps, chinatown, the Italian market, eastern state penitentiary, the Philadelphia Zoo which is the oldest zoo in America, and so many others. its great this time of year!
woltersworld Philly has a bit of everything you can think of (Philly is like a mix btw maybe Chicago and Boston). There are different types of neighborhoods like Chinatown, Little Saigon and Italian ones. We have plenty of museums (from Art, History and Science) like the Art Museum (Rocky), Franklin Institute or The Mutter Museum. Many places to shop, eat and hang out especially in Center City. Like E3guyy wrote, there's The Eastern State Penitentiary, the zoo, the Italian Market. I would also like to add the Reading Terminal Market, Penn's Landing and not to mention the historical places like the Independence hall or Betsy Ross House.
REMEMBER that Philadelphia is a major sports town, so we have many sports bars all over and the stadiums are in South Philly for games/concerts (Sports Complex). Philly is also a big college town, we have Temple, Penn, Drexel, St. Joes, LaSalle, Villanova (outside in the city) and others. So, you'll see plenty of students walking and hanging around the city
Last thing, I would not recommend Pats nor Genos (there are better, underrated places to grab a cheesesteak), and plus Philly is a lot more than just cheesesteaks, we have food/restaurants from all over the world.
woltersworld Even though, there are awesome places in Philadelphia. I am not from Philly, but I went to Temple for four years, and there are a few things I should warn you about the city. First (most important), Philly is a very dirty city, which you'll see/smell garbage all around (subways station, around sidewalks..etc). Second, our subway system isn't much (SEPTA only has two lines & PATCO has one going to Jersey) and a decent bus system (SEPTA). Finally, beware of the Philly Arrogance, especially around Philly fans, bc they can be very rude and careless at times.
Other than that, Philadelphia is a great city in its own right, you'll find good people and great places to go in the city.
E3guyy Phoenix
Großartiges Video, thanks a lot! I really don't miss any city but Seattle. Grüße aus Leipzig. ;-)
I was planning on being in boston in august, but our travel plans changed a bit... you will see in September with our new video season :) but I am hoping to get to boston and new England in the next year. I visited there a lot when I was a kid with my grandfather and really loved it.
it is a great city. we are heading back there in the Spring (March/April tentively) so should have top 10 san fran and 5 love & hates of san fran too. thanks for watching and commenting!
Natchez, Mississippi. Beautiful town.
amaziing wow
New York is my home and will always be #1 in my heart
WHATAMI Chicago is still better. I mean, you do you. If NYC is your #1, then so be it but Chicago is better for me and most other people.
No one gives a fuck
my state has a state fair every October its a ton of fun with a robot that will follow you everywhere in the fairgrounds its full of people every year.
I am glad Chicago is number 1. I grew up around Chicago and haven't seen everything plus things have changed. I went up the Sears Tower and not it is the Willis Tower. Long ago I went up the John Hancock and now it is 360 Chicago where you can like step out on glass. The museum of science and industry changes all the time too. He did a great job of highlighting things in see in America's greatest cities.
New York is number 2# and Chicago is number 1# this means Mr Wolters is from Chicago.
+SkandikFilm Chicago is the best city in the US. I love Chicago. Pilsen, Southside, The Loop, Mag Mile, Wicker Park, Lincoln Park, Hyde Park. So many great and interesting neighbourhoods, even on the notorious South Side. I love Chicago and constantly look forward to my yearly trips there. But yeah, this guy definitely has a midwestern twang. Maybe a cheese head.
SkandikFilm no, he's just smart and knows what he's talking about. After all, Chicago is the coolest city in the U.S. and in North America obviously
seattle is on my top 10 west usa video and Minneapolis is on the top 10 Midwest video (coming out in a few months) so I definitely agree
Definitely disagree with L.A. and Miami being on this list. I may be biased being from Chicago, but I'd much rather visit a city like Nashville or St. Louis to get a better feel of the U.S. I think St. Louis should definitely be on this list - this coming from someone who hates St. Louis sports. I like the additions of San Antonio and Charleston though.
So greatful to live by Chicago. Such a cool spot. Go Sox
I live in Chicago. I've been to all the places you mentioned! I love wrigley field and the Willis tower lots of times. I love the mag mile because... Shopping! I've been to NYC and LOVE it there too.
hi
Jackie McGreevy hi i will be visit chicago plz give me your num
Yes Boston! Represent!!!
Thank you
I agree with you about San Antonio. I visit my parents in Austin twice a year but spend a large part of each trip in San Antonio. Btw, I lived in Austin from 83-88. Then again from 91-08 and never heard of a puffy taco. That's crazy!
I agree!
I have a challenge for you: do a long video showing your favorite city/town from every country you've been too.
I wish Philadelphia was on there its so historic amazing skyline and has an old american feel it was also the first U.S capital.
Daniel Niklauski it was like 11
woltersworld to be honest in American terms its #1 in traveling in America wise probably 3 or 4
All the cities he listed are better than Philadelphia
@@dante6055 pretty obvious what im saying. All the cities the guy listed in this video are better than Philly. Especially ny, chicago, boston, dc, san fran and LA. Philly is a tier or 2 below those
@@dante6055 not really to me or most ppl. Nothing u cant get in philly that u canr get in the premiere east coast cities like Boston or NY. I guess its a nice cheaper alternative that’s conveniently located between dc and NY tho
In regards to smaller towns, I would certainly add Saratoga Springs, NY for everything horse racing (and while you're there check out the Adirondack region) :)
San Antonio is pretty awesome, I was only there 2 days, but I saw all the old Missions, and did the River Walk, pretty awesome.
I've been to all of the cities on the East Coast (bar Boston) and I have to say Philadelphia was the best of the lot. Should have made your list.
Philly is my hometown 😋👍🏽👍🏽
+Will LC1996 Lived in Boston and Philly. Two great historic cities, but I'd take Boston any day.
I traveled from Philly to Boston for a Thanksgiving weekend and it was a lot colder up in Boston. I was stunned by the difference in weather. I never did warm up and the host families home never got warm enough for my taste even though I wore sweaters. Both cities have nice downtown areas with plenty to do for tourist. Food was also very good in both cities. I liked Boston but no more winter trips.
Visit Boston, you'll see why it's ranked so high.
I’d say New York is better but Philly is way better than Boston and DC lmao
You should also try going to Annapolis, Maryland because it's home to excellent crab cakes and it has the Chesepeake Bay! There's wonderful sea food and it's right on the edge of the East Coast.
Chicago yes
happy to see Boston on your list.. i live here..
pelizete its a cool cool city... even if you have a bit of snow right now ;)
woltersworld too much at this time..
My Top 5 U.S. Cities- New York, San Francisco, L.A., Chicago, Boston. Honorable Mentions- San Diego, Seattle, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., New Orleans, Miami, Portland, San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, Nashville.
Sb Espn so Nashville is #1? I'd have Chicago #1 since its the coolest city on earth. It's Super fun
Pitsburgh, Charleston, Houston.... ?
If you are moving to the US Knoxville Tennessee is the place! I was living in Europe and I literally could have chosen any place to live. After extensive searching I chose Knoxville Tennessee. You just can't beat it. Great weather, good economy, light traffic, great mild weather, the mountains, and FANTASTIC people. Also, inexpensive and affordable housing! My wife and 4 year old daughter Scarlett love Knoxville!
My top ten (no order):
Chicago
Boston
New York
St. Louis
Washington D.C.
Nashville
San Francisco
Denver
San Diego
Charleston
Yea
You have to have Seattle in that list somewhere!
no arizona
ye nashville
How do you travel so much?
BEAUTIFUL

Hi I'm planning to visit Washington, D.C. With family in December. Is it good to fly in December or is it too cold?
Also, what is the best/ safest airline to take? Thanks
Sometimes it's cold like 30 degrees or lower. But this year it was really warm at 50 and 60 degrees. I think that the normal high is around 45 for December in DC. You just have to check the forcast.
East coast visit NYC, Philly, DC. New Orleans will give you that southern flavor. Miami for sure. Chicago only if you are in the midwest. Texas I would go with Houston or Dallas LA, San Fran and let's add on San Diego.
you certainly beat me :)
During my Eastern US - trip this February I visited some great cities, but my absolute favourite was Richmond, VA!
Perfect combination of history and pride, as well as new and young life.
Cheers from Germany
Lol, ten years ago Richmond, Virginia had the 9th highest murder rate in the nation at 43 murders per 100,000 residents, which means that Richmond had a murder rate 43x higher than compared to Germany and more than 28x higher than Berlin. Today, the murder rate has more than halved with a murder rate of 20.2 murders for every 100,000 people, which means that Richmond is STILL one of the most dangerous cities in the U.S., with a murder rate more than 22x higher than Germany and more than 13x higher than Berlin. Looks can be deceiving, huh? ;)
No. Statistics don't tell the whole truth.
The areas I've been to in Richmond were wonderful and I would love to live there! No statistic can change that!
I LOVE the USA !!!
Traverse city, mackinac island, Detroit, Marquette or anywhere in Michigan
Boston!!!
Boston!!!
I can't say I'm not biased, as I'm from the region, but I think Providence, RI, is an amazing city as well! The New England region is my favorite!
The "stuff" drinking game -- 31 shots! :-)
I agree with your first 9, but for number 10, I would have picked Portland, OR or Seattle, WA.
I'm traveling to America from Australia in June and July i cant wait :D
San fran, Yosemite, Las vegas, LA then to New york, Washington DC, philly and chicago. Ive got another week to spare, I'm thinking of flying down to new orleans now what do you think?
ps love your videos man
GREAT PLAN BROTHER....YOU SHOULD VISIT BOSTON OR GO TO MIAMI, FL
Gud luck dude
very nise
Philadelphia should be here..been there and had a cheese steak..omg its just soooooo gooood !!
do you have the video which contains more detailed information for each city in your list?
I live in Boston and I agree with you, but this videos is for people that are looking to visit America. Boston, NYC, and Chicago have so much history, what does Miami have to offer other than what you already mentioned!
New York, Seattle, Boston, Miami, Denver, Nashville, San Francisco, Austin, D.C., and Anchorage
Honorable mentions: Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Charleston, New Orleans, and Maui
National Parks: Yosemite, Zion, Yellowstone, and Grand Canyon
Top of the rock is a better view than empire state building
WILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL will go next visit. thanks for the heads up
One of my relatives lives in the Wyoming, usa!
I live in Wyoming
Boston is fab
yeah
America is such a ubiquitous setting for films and television shows, it’s easy to forget at times that it’s somewhere that actually exists in real life.
these cities are good but there are some honorable mentions like houston, dallas, seattle, philly, atlanta, nashville, salt lake city, denver, minniapolis, san diego, las vegas, louisville, honolulu, pittsburgh, st louis are good too.
my lovely country love ya so much
I was born in los Angeles california and I love the nice observatory and see the US bank building that the tallest
5:45...haha very funny!! btw did you ever visit Seattle?
