- Black boxes recovered from Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 show the plane was brought down by shrapnel that caused massive explosive decompression, According to the Independent, a Ukrainian security spokesman said.
National security spokesman Andriy Lysenko said Monday in Kiev that the Boeing 777 suffered “massive explosive decompression” after it was hit by shrapnel from a missile.
Data from MH17's black boxes was decrypted in Britain after being handed over to Malaysian officials by pro-Russian rebels who control the crash site.
Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 crashed on July 17 as it flew over eastern Ukraine en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, killing all 298 people on board. U.S. intelligence officials have said they believe it was accidentally shot down by pro-Russian separatists with a Russian-made SA-11 missile involving training and possibly participation by Russian forces. Russia accuses Ukraine of downing the plane.
Investigators leading the MH17 probe in the Netherlands have refused to confirm the new information. They are expected to release their initial findings on August 1.

I still couldn't believe that this happened to MH. My father operated the flight 2 weeks prior. He didn't sleep for 3 days knowing that one of his good friends was operating the flight.

as a Malaysian, this is truly a very devastating incident ever happened for our official airlines. my sympathy goes to the family members on board of mh17. because of unnecessary war, lots of innocent souls has been taken away. in this era, i wonder why there's still war and conflicts across the globe? can't we live happily and support each other? 😢

SGT_ZOMBIE im assuming the fragments of the plane would be pulling so much G forces on such a rapid nose-down descent that they wouldn’t have remained conscious long enough to experience it hitting the ground.
Not all of them could've been conscious through the rapid changes of pressure and everything else going on as the plane plummeted from 33,000 feet, it probably hit over 500mph and once it ripped apart I'm sure the air pressure would've knocked anyone out with all that g force from being ragdolled in the air. I just hope whoever did it gets held responsible for such an atrocity

7 years on, we Malaysian still remembered n recovering from this (unnecessary) tragedy which followed another devastating yet to be found n concluded MH370 😢
I was reminded (thus brought here) after watching Danzel Washington's Flight movie which the scenes of pre n post impact were so intense n stayed with me for days since which brought me to view various real life crashes CVRs...
There is no words for the reviews n what I felt after, really brought me to their final moments. My prayers for those souls... 😢
So what are the conclusions? Other flights blown up or shot down, what are the parameters of the crash of flight MH 17 most similar to? Well, where is the explosion in the recording from the microphones in the cockpit, the CVR recording? What kind of wind is this that exceeds the inertia forces of a jet plane? Well, I’m not talking about the Buk air defense system; it simply wasn’t there in this case.
Those who did this to my country plane and the people onboard are still not brought to justice until today. You may think you can get away with it this time, but I will pray hard that those people involved will never have a peaceful life. Every. Single. One. Of. Them.

They didn't show us that control tower crew see, don't show documents on rocker, where are it come, they don't show thar ukrainian radar show, they don't show info from black box, that Donetsk separatists find and give to investors. This bellingcat ignore all that and said "you know, someone in RUclips said it was russians". And this is their only proof.
Russians even verified their version and show, that kind of damage plane received if russian rocker explode according to bellingcat.
It is small comfort, but due to the depressurization and subsequent breakup of the plane , it does not sound like the passengers or crew would have suffered very long. Hopefully they lost consciousness in a matter of seconds.
Yeah i believe it only takes roughly 10 seconds to lose consciousness at that altitude. So...at least there's that.
There were witness see people falling off the plane screaming and some people with oxygen mask on... That mean some people, specially people sit way in the tail still alive when the plane coming down. :((

I have the impression that the passengers died long before they fell to the ground, but died in the air from sudden oxygen deprivation, immediately after the missile sent very high speed projectiles that pierced the plane causing it to disintegrate into pieces

Why was a passenger found with an oxygen mask on then. Not all of them died immediately.
I have read that some of the passengers were still conscious for up to 90 seconds after the missile hit they think this because there were no text or phone communication from any of the passengers. The plane then exploded mid air before hitting the ground.
The only saving grace is that they didn't have time to access the situation they were in because it happened so quickly.

I would not use such passive words. The war did not randomly breakout just as much as the plane did not randomly crash. It is Russia that is respssonsible for both. Russia invaded Ukraine to steal land and enslave the population. Russian forces shot down the plane.
Unfortunately the animation showing the breakup is wrong. The nose of the plane broke off from the main fuselage. This is how debris and bodies were spilled over such a wide area.

There are so many totally inaccurate things in this video. Seriously, you've just made most of it up. The front section broke away first and the plane did not land all together in a little group. Jesus.
Not only that but the missile approached the plane from the front and separated the cockpit from the fuselage about 2 or 3 seconds after the missile detonated with the tail of the plane breaking away 2 or 3 seconds later. Debris from the plane was scattered over 50 square miles.

All wrong! The Jetfighter came from the back left side. It fired its 30mm cannon into the cockpit area killing the pilots instantly and destroying the controls.

kinda ukraine’s and other governments’ fault , ukraine knew that there was a buk (missile name) which is able to hit targets at 11.000m above the ground, as well passenger planes and 3 days before the incident it was reported that a military plane of the ukrainian army was hit by one of the missiles in the height of 6500m exactly in the area where the MH17 had been hit. they had an assembly with ambassadors of several countries about the danger that the separatists own this weapon in that area. but if ukraine would have put a flight ban to this area they wouldn’t have been able to claim the money they get for being included in a flight route. the ambassadors of all the countries that have joined this assembly have sent the information to their governments. but the governments didn’t bother to take action or inform airline companies so the planes could overfly that area (change the route and skip ukraine)

Organizationally, the Buk air defense systems were reduced to anti-aircraft missile brigades, which included: KP (the combat control point of the brigade from the Polyana-D4 automated control system), four anti-aircraft missile divisions with their KP 9C470, the 9C18 detection and target designation station, a communications platoon and three anti-aircraft missile batteries with two 9A310 self-propelled firing units and one 9A39 starting and charging unit in each, as well as technical support and maintenance units. The control of the Buk anti-aircraft missile brigade was to be carried out from the Army Air Defense Command post. This simulation contradicts main anti-russian version, which say that BUK had launched missile from Snezhnoe. It means that missile had to appear at right-front of Mh17.. while this simulation shows that missile was in the back of the plane..

There is no way the depressurization brought down the plane alone, the missile must have killed the pilots or damaged a key system.
Depressurisation won't bring the plane down on its own, but it'll knock the pilots unconscious

In 1988 the US warship the USS Vincennes shot down an Iran Air civilian airliner in the same fashion, killing everyone on board. It was brushed under the rug as well...
The USS Vincennes tried numerous times to contact and warn off the Iranian airliner. The plane did not answer and continued heading towards the ship. The difficult decision was made to shoot it down. It was a terrible tragedy. The Russians however made no attempt to contact the Malaysian airliner and just shot it down without warning.
I think here happened the same with the iranian passenger flight back in the 1980s. A military plane flew next to the passenger machine in order to prevent the enemy from shooting at him. But the enemy did shot and hit the passenger plane instead of the military plane, which is obvious, because the passenger plane is not that fast in changing its position.

That’s not what happened. My uncle investigated it and they came to the conclusion that the shrapnel ripped the front section off with the pilots and then the plane flew for another 5 miles without a nose or front of the plane and then it fell to the ground.

I've heard the black box recording on liveleak and you can hear the pilots not responding/being dead or unconscious while passengers are heard screaming followed by a woop woop pull up terrain ahead. really frightening to listen to. May they all rest in piece.
I'm not sure about this ... Bcoz as soon as the explosion occurred, they black box stop recording as the plane breaking up. Probably another plane crash?
I highly doubt it was a real recording, as soon as the plane broke apart the mic connections would've been cut.
@@alboreland5949 you can find it your self on black box recordings google it, its an index page. One of my friends is a pilot and showed me, they used it under his education to analyse it. So I highly doubt its fake :)
@@rystdin I'm an aircraft mechanic, it doesn't make sense to me since the aircraft lost electrical power as soon as the wings severed and the plane broke apart which would physically separate the cockpit mic from the CVR itself, the CVR only records COCKPIT voice recordings and sounds, and yes while it can pick up screams from the cabin it won't pick up ANYTHING at all if the mic is physically cut from the box. GPWS would also only sound if collision with the ground is imminent and again that system also relies on AC electrical power from the aircraft engines which also requires a rather intact aircraft. It is probably 99% a certainty that it's a really well doctored fake. If it is from your pilot friend then he probably doesn't have a full understanding of how some aircraft systems work in detail, at least not to the same level as a mechanic.

Im sure you will find it, maybe my explenation of the event is wrong. But those recordings are definitly not fake. Theres even recordings of the hudson river landing with clear comms

Нидерланды не провели расследования почему не было полностью закрыто воздушно пространство украины с 7 апреля 2014, не осуществили полную выкладку обломков самолета, совершили фальсификацию и сокрытие обломков рейса MH 17 и данных и аннализа данных с его бортовых самописцев. А так же вместе с украиной подлог деталей разобранной украинской ракеты 9М38 и подлог поражающих элементов. Так что фарс районного театра абсурда в городе Гааге, будет дополнительны отягчающим обстоятельством вины стран запада и их колонии украины.

No, it was the secret services of the West and their three bombs, two of which were in the cockpit and as striking elements had incendiary capsules with a chemical agent capable of burning holes through metal. Explosions of anti-aircraft missiles or air-to-air missiles do not lead to the destruction of the fuselage of passenger aircraft like the Boeing 777-200ER, which by the way on MH17 began earlier and not from the cockpit and at the last point of the FDR (flight data recorder) there was a destruction of the fuselage and not an explosion of the anti-aircraft missile warhead. You can't fool physics!

The damage this video attributes to shrapnel is actually exit holes like those of a 20mm cannon, suggesting it was shot down by another aircraft.

an SU-25 can't even get high enough to engage MH17. the plane was flying at 10500m, SU-25 surface ceiling is 7000m without a payload.

The missile came from the front-end of the aircraft not followed
The missile exploded right above and after the cockpit to the right side not under the belly
The cockpit was the first to detach as the air frame weakened followed by the passenger section and then the tail not as shown in this sim
The aircraft cockpit debris were found way far from the body and the wing tips not as shown in this sim like as they all fell in one place. They were separated like meters away
This incident could have been avoided if Malaysia airlines took a different path knowing its warzone. All other airlines took a loner path additional 20minutes to advise warzone.
2 cabin crew of Malaysia airlines swapped their schedule from flying on this flight worrying of warzone.

See the DSB report, the wreckage lies not only to the north of the trajectory about which the Dutch lie, they lie BEFORE the point at which MH17 was allegedly shot down (the last point of FDR), in which, miraculously, it immediately collapsed and its wreckage was allegedly blown back by the wind (the speed of the aircraft is about 900km/h) these wreckage is not from the cockpit pilots, and from the front cargo compartment and passenger compartment, they have a different mass (from an insignificant air duct of the air conditioning system to a significant passenger seat and cargo container) and various aerodynamic qualities and in reality there are traces of thermal and overpressure effects on them and they lie side by side. From all this it follows that the wind did not affect their fall sites, but affected where and when the destruction began and what caused it. The report also shows that both flight recorders stopped writing information at the same time, although both are intact. There are only 4 microphones in the cockpit, information from which is transmitted via a data cable to the voice recorder (CVR), which is located in the tail of the aircraft. And the information to the flight data recorder (FDR) comes from the computer center located behind the cabin compartment 117 and 118 there are 2 of the 3 duplicating computers and 3 even further to the starboard side in a specially niche there are doors to the front cargo compartment and the rear data cable goes to the tail of the aircraft to the FDR and on the other side one goes data cable to CVR. From all this, even a theoretical one when an anti-aircraft missile is detonated from the top left near the cockpit, it is impossible to simultaneously destroy at the same time all computers and microphones or destroy both data cables running on different sides. Summarizing, MH17 was flying north, its destruction began not from the cockpit but from the cargo compartment, and at the LAST FDR POINT the fuselage collapsed, and the data cables to the flight recorders were destroyed at the same time, therefore, the recording on the recorders was cut off at the same time, all this could only be done by an internal explosion in the front cargo compartment.

It is most irresponsible for MAS to instruct her pilots to fly over the war zone in Ukraine. Many other airlines like AirAsia have bypassed Ukraine , flying further south. MAS has got a lot of soul searching to do. such an irresponsible attitude.They think their planes are safe flying at 33,000 ft, well events proved otherwise. What a total lack of foresight.
Not surprised of these kind of things happening, they will always happen and are never inevitable, the only thing we can do is try our best to prevent them.
