NEW Goldfish! Calico Ranchu and a Butterfly

I was excited to find out that one of my local fish stores had a local supplier of fancy goldfish and he was willing to bring some in for me. Specifically, I was still after my Ranchu, but was willing to look at everything that was brought in. In the end, I walked away with 2 of the 3 Ranchu (and may still try to get the Blue one if it is still available). It had a curled caudal fin, so I chose not to get it but found one of my choices had a damaged pectoral fin and some little nodule sticking out on the back. Not sure what the market is for them around here, but it's been a few weeks and my chances are slim that he'll still be there. Anyway, I do love the coloration and character of the fish I did get. They are very active and friendly. I haven't come up with any names for them that I like yet, so I may crowdsource that to you all. Happy fishkeeping!

The hump seems more of a small deformity commonly seen in some ranchu. The butterfly did have some white spots, but hope all went well with their acclimation!

They definitely have the most "exotic" freshwater fish of the local shops. I love stopping in to see what they've got.

Not really a fan of simply pets. But they do have nice coral for cheap. Good video.
I shops them all. Each has its strengths. Simply pets has great corals and a wide variety of freshwater fish.
