      Hi Joslin,
      thank you for watching and leaving a great comment.
      I think trying to speed through things is a common thing a lot of pyrographers do.; especially beginners. I know I did.
      Plus, I use to burn at a much higher heat. I wanted to burn once and be done with it. That style of burning doesn't work well with the type of artwork I wanted to create, but it took me a bit to discover that.
      Thanks again for the comment

      The burning of the fingers might be reduced if you prop your artwork up at an angle. This is assuming you've got the board sitting flat on a table.

    Hi I am now functioning but having some problems, I don't know if it is the wood tomy strokes. It looks like I had the hiccups . I am so upset. I want to be good on this ,yet I can not tell what I am doing wrong.

    • @PyrographyMadeEasy
      @PyrographyMadeEasy  2 года назад

      Hi Mary,
      I'm not sure either. I would suggest the following:
      1) Make sure your board is has a smooth finish. Always sand the board with at least 240 grit sandpaper. Even if it feels smooth to your fingers.
      2) use a light hand pressure
      3) try not to burn in a way that your pushing the pen tip away from yourself. It is a lot harder to maintain a consistent pressure when burning in that direction.
      4) don't burn at a high heat. The higher the heat the easier it is to get blotchy burn results. Even the slightest pause can result in a darker burn spot at high heats.

    • @PyrographyMadeEasy
      @PyrographyMadeEasy  4 года назад +1

      Olá.
      Eu gosto de basswood, que também é chamado Linden europeu, ou Linden, ou, limão comum. Tende a ser de cor pálida com linhas de grão que não são muito escuras. Eu também gosto de álamo e bordo. Onde eu moro álamo e bordo são mais fáceis de encontrar, mas custam mais do que tília. A madeira compensada de bétula é excelente para queimar, pois é mais fácil entrar em uma variedade. A desvantagem é que o compensado tende a amarelar ou envelhecer mais rapidamente do que as placas de madeira maciça.
      Espero que a informação ajude.

      Hello Anita,
      What a great question! The answer is no. It's really just learning how to use the pen tips you have.
      Since I don't use that type, I can't explain which pen tips will give you results similar to the style I use. There are 2 channels that do, so I recommend checking them out.
      Super Woodburning Tutorials: ruclips.net/channel/UCNX5H-Xd-3G5_z5G-Rhmebg
      Minisa Pyrography: ruclips.net/channel/UCmD-U5CYsIWx2OPODsxETwg
      I would highly recommend exploring their channels and discovering what pen tips they use and how.
      Hope that helps. Thanks again for the great question!

    • @PyrographyMadeEasy
      @PyrographyMadeEasy  5 лет назад

      Heck, you might discover you don't need to upgrade. Especially if your unit has a temperature control on it. Minisa creates amazing artwork with her solid point, but she does have a temperature control. If you're doesn't, you can purchase one that your burner plugs into.
      The big difference between a soldering irons style (solid point) and mine is cost and convenience. The solid points take a lot longer to heat up and cool down (10 - 15 minutes), so switching out pen tips takes a bit. By the way, you should NEVER remove a solid pen tip when it's still hot or even warm. The wire tips (what I use) heat up and cool down within 10-30 seconds.
      I hope you have a lot of fun with your burner and create some fantastic artwork!
      Thanks for the wonderful compliment.

      I believe that Super Woodburning tutorials uses one without a temperature control. It's just that having one makes it a lot easier to get the tan colors. Regardless, the important thing is to start using your burner and getting familiar with the pen tip.
      Pyrography is a wonderful artwork and I hope you're enjoy it a lot.

      Sell your artwork! It doesn't matter if you think your artwork is better or worse than mine.
      Instead concentrate on your art. The most important thing to me is that you enjoy the process of creating art. Otherwise it is nothing more than a job and you won't stick with it.
