I love myself, I love this song, and I love this game. I spent a solid hour and a half grinding this song, going for more perfects, going for better overdrive activations, and in the end it culminated in this 1st place score. I can definitely still improve this, I still missed 144 perfects.
The way scoring works in this game is quite different from traditional Rock Band games - each note is worth 30 points, and you get an extra 6 points for getting a perfect hit, so each perfectly hit note is 36. On a 4x multiplier, that's 144 points per note.
If we assume every non-perfect hit on my run was on a 4x, I'm missing 24 points on 144 notes, which equals 3,456 points. I defintely had some non-perfect hits under overdive, probably most of them even, so those notes are actually missing 48 points each. It's not a stretch to say there's still over 5,000 points left out there.
200K definitely isn't possible though, this is the best overdrive path and I hit all the double squeezes.

Man I love how clear the guitar sounds during the chorus here, it sounds sick. Really hoping that since Fortnite has such an insanely massive playerbase, this can generate a renewed interest in rhythm games across the industry. This is such a huge opportunity.

You're able to change the track speed in the settings tab, it only shows up when you're in festival which is strange.

@@ZapperTheFox_ I found it strange that a faster track speed tends to make a lot of songs easier.
@@esceneknausicalci That's probably to do with faster track speeds spreading out the notes more to keep them in time with the song which makes it easier to see the patterns you need to be hitting.

Good job, I've actually gone out and got a couple of great Guitar scores, so I think my old school memory is starting to come back to me on that. If I could afford it, I'd get some V-Bucks to unlock some packs and songs, but can't right now, which bites, cause I definitely want that Weeknd Skin Pack.

This is very impressive! Great job! Would you have any tips on tuning with a guitar controller in Fortnite Festival? Getting perfects is tough and figuring that out is so new that there isn't that much info on the subject out there! Thanks!

Yes, you get an extra 6 points for a perfect hit, which is 24 extra points with a 4x multiplier

Get into a Festival lobby and open up the settings before you pick a song. At the bottom of the Game tab in the settings menu there are Festival options, one of them being track speed. You can go all the way to 2.50x speed. I believe I'm at 1.75x in this one

Stupid how people speed up the notes dude it never goes that fast on my pc or Xbox and even PlayStation so I highly doubt this is even real 😊 flawlessed all songs and all instruments on expert it’s fairly easy
