I thought that songs that had already been used in the Rock Band series would always use those same charts on Pro Lead in Fortnite Festival (Harmonix, the creators and developers of Rock Band, were bought by Epic Games specifically to create FF), but this song actually proves that to not be true as the final section before the first verse and the first two choruses were charted using the "lead" guitar, as opposed to Rock Band 4 where they used the "rhythm" guitar for those sections.
The fact that this chart is paywalled makes me upset. Is way more difficult than the "global" chart. I know there should be reasons to make people buy the guitar but we should be able to play it but with separate leaderboards
I know you don't want a technical explanation, but here it is anyways. Character animations are automatically chosen randomly from a pool of animations, the pool of animations changes depending on the current mood of the song playing, however, unlike guitar, keytar and bass: vocals doesn't have any fitting animations for the "metal" mood so it just chooses the animation from the "pop" pool instead.
Honestly, I was not expecting this song but I am glad we got it

Nope! It's a great time to improve on the existing charts. Almost every Festival chart that's also been in RB has had some changes made to it
