This interview was very informative. I wish Hue would elaborate more on those apartments in Boca Grande for $1,100.00 a month. I am currently making plans for a six month stay in January and the Airbnb prices are ridiculous for Boca Grande.
I have not checked lately but I noticed prices are higher there in general than Medellin. And with inflation going around the world right now, I am not surprised that prices are higher. I paid much more for my flights this month than I did just earlier this years. Please note, he was talking about long term rentals. The longer you rent, the better discounts you can get, sometimes. High season will always cost more. One thing I do if I don't know for sure I want to rent fa place long term, I will check to see if the place has a month available, then rent for two or three days, then when I get there, if I like it, I will then rent for two weeks or a month to get the discount. But I do risk that the other dates can be taken up by another renter.
Very Nice interview! I'm not sure if you are aware of this, but the sound is not the best, so it can be difficult to hear what is being said. However, when you added the Music, it made it even more difficult. So maybe you can skip the music while the interview is taking place, although the song was really nice. Also, I have Liked and Subbed!!
Yes, I've stayed in Boca Grande, down in El Laguito, and a few other places in Cartagena. I loved it so much I looked into the apartments I stayed in, and they were starting at 230k right across from the beach. For what it offered it wasn't bad, right across from the beach, ocean view, balcony, pool etc. A little too pricey for me. I've done real estate searches there on and off over the years and I can say for sure it is better to search from being on the ground. Good interview.
10 minutes in I thought to myself they gonna need a part 2.. REALLY appreciate both you brothas sharing this information. Double dutching my way off the plantation called Amerikkka and out of the Matrix. Looking forward to the 2nd installment. SUBBED! 👊🏿💯
He and I used the same lawyer, Ana Restrepo, www.restrepolegal.co. I will be interviewing her on immigration, real estate and other issues related to expats in Colombia.
My apologies. I need to get part 2 done. Until then, here is my apartment in Medellin on my shorts channel:ruclips.net/user/shortsIJsdRAyV52Q I found my place while walking to the gym.
I am currently in Medellin Colombia. No one is wearing masks except at stores where workers are in close contact with customers. No one in the general population is asking for vacation cards.
I'm coming to Cartagena to look for a condo in either crespo[1st choice],getsamani, bocagrande.,marbella...{so when u bought your place you applied for visa right away?[I have a lawyer my friend used to move to crespo area 4yrs ago], do you have to stay in colombia for 3yrs straight after buying? thats a fast visa approval!! which one did you go for? [I'm Canadian and know the min real estate requirememt for investment visa is about 155k can$...any info would be appreciated :)
I used the same lawyer he used to buy his place Cartagena to buy my place in the neighborhood Laureles in Medellin. It is a crapshoot for how long you visa will be if it is for retirement visa from 1 to 3 years. Unless you are in a big hurry try to rent in the location you are interested in for 3 to 6 months to avoid buyers remorse. I’m not an expert in this area but if I get requests I will interview people who are to get answers.
MONEY! You should know which visa you qualify for and how long you can stay. The basic tourist visa is for 90 days and you can get a 90 day extension to give you six months in a year. There are many other visas that will depend on you goals. You can find info at apps.migracioncolombia.gov.co/pre-registro/public/preregistro.jsf. I will be interviewing my lawyer about immigration and purchasing property and take you thru my purchase process. Please subscribe and ring the notification bell so you will catch all that information in real time.

Great job, as I near retirement I am searching for my safe affordable place with good health care… Thanks for sharing…

Hey Bro, I'm buying in BOCA GRANDE to. Lets catch up!!
Hey, I am in Medellin. Hue is in Boca Grande. Good luck with your purchase and let me know if you plan to visit Medellin.
@@mymedellinlife is most parts of Medellin safe?
@@donoyster5309 I feel it is like most cities, good parts and bad. I feel safer here than a lot of places in the states. The short answer is yes.
@@donoyster5309 Yes. Just like any city in the states, some places are safer that others. Use common sense and you should be fine.
Omg. I was waiting the entire video to get a tour of this condo.🙄

Awesome info! Did you pay the appt cash or did you get a mortgage?
We both paid the full amount up front. Mortgages are close to impossible and Interest rates are beyond reasonable.
@@delberttuckermedia thanks for the reply. I asked because I have 32,000 saved and was thinking of taking a 120k loan with Chase.
What do you do for medical care and how is the Covid situation in Cartagena?
I am currently in Medellin Colombia. No one is wearing masks except at stores where workers are in close contact with customers. No one in the general population is asking for vacation cards.
What approximately did you pay for the lawyer services
I don't remember the exact amount. It was a part of the total price.

Colombian food is farmers food.
He paid 66k more than he should have.
If you have some information that will help other pay less, please share!
No part 2 ?
My apologies. I need to get that done.
Coming from America, what do I need to qualify for a luxury apartment on the beach.
