Why all the pics of the film "2001: A Space Odyssey"? They have NOTHING to do with each other.
It's a little-known fact that Eddie Albert [Oliver Douglas] and Tom Lester [Eb Dawson] conducted Bible-reading sessions onset in between takes where cast and crew alike participated. After leaving Hollywood Tom Lester returned to his family home of Laurel, Mississippi where he was a farmer and a popular Christian inspirational speaker. FYI: Offscreen Hank Patterson, Fred Ziffel, was a concert orchestra conductor!

William Sylvester was in Green Acres for a few episodes and also 2001: A Space Odyssey. Probably the only photos he could easily find.
I knew Green Acres could be surreal at times but the episodes taking place in Outer Space were really WILD!
The Sprained ankle was a good one. Porterhouse steak, Steaming baked potato, corn on the cob, chocolate cake 49 cents.
When i moved to rural KY from Seattle 13 years ago, they called me Mr. Douglas. And i still have the John Deere 1010 i bought the first year i was here.
The best line I remember is when when Eb states "Hot water soup my favorite." A comment on Lisa's cooking.
