      Did you need to top dead center cylinder #1, or just make notes of where the cam sprockets were positioned?

      Its better to put the cylinder #1 on tdc. If something happened you know your safe

      @jfGarage4k yes it may be a big help if I decide to do it myself. Looks easier than the Nissan 4.0 I did a few years ago. Thanks for the uploads

    How did you do this job without a lockout kit?

      You dont really need the lock tool kit. If your not confident & its your first time doing this job definitely need the tool

    The Chevy 1.4 timing chain is designed to stretch 4 inches ? Must have 1 million miles on that jewl

      But who cares. We will all go electric in a not so far future. No chains, no valves, no hundreds of moving parts and several liquids . Yes !

    Lol 😂.. he forgot the timeing chain tensioner. Its moved with oil pressure at the bottom of the engine. 😂.. he didnt fix it
