Just like all their previous games then? Released broken and forever broken afterwards, unless Modders fixed it for them, or at least as much as they could.
Yeah and one of them is my best friend. He’s enjoying himself and I just don’t have the heart to tell him the game is shit and we could play Helldivers or the 1.6 update to Stardew Valley or literally anything else.
@@jamiekamihachi3135 if that’s genuinely how you feel then you’re a bad friend. Starfield is a fundamentally flawed game but that doesn’t mean people can’t or shouldn’t enjoy it. If he genuinely enjoys the game then that’s HIS experience and not yours.
For them to "fix" starfield would require such fundamental changes it would be effectively remaking the entire game. Just let it die and remember it when the next Bethesda title comes out in ten years.
I agree to some degree, but they can definitely improve certain aspects of the game, which would improve the experience for the players considerably. For example, they could easily reduce the repetitiveness of the planetary bases by changing and increasing the assets they put into their Procedural generation engine. This would make a huge difference. I would reinstall the game, if they did that.
Its not fixable without changing everything. And it starts with the broken arse engine and ends with all their god awful game design. The people who designed this game are outright dumb AF. And that is not an opinion!
Let people enjoy thing, for a lot of people this is still a good game, there are a lot of people who enjoy starfield but not necessarily comment anything. it just there are a lot of people too vocal about it, flooding hate speech on every starfield news. that create this echo chamber effect. this channel is also a Some kind of Video Game Hate Circlejerk. Sorry but I don't see Starfield getting fixed liked CD Project Red did to Cyberpunk 2077. There is a deep core issue with Starfield and multiple patches won't fix it. Prove me wrong I guess..🤷
Cyberpunk was a broken mess but there was a well written story, with good cinematography, no cutscenes, and a beautiful and well planned out city. IE there was something to fix. There’s nothing to fix with star field It runs fine, it’s just an empty game
The funny thing is, by Todd Howard's definition of "explore any planet", you can "explore any planet" in Helldivers lol. It's the same thing you pick a planet your ship goes there and you load into the planet and you have a range that you can travel within the generated part of that planet that is randomly loaded in for you.
If Gordon Ramsay were to eat Starfield he'd say it was outdated, bland, and tastes of nothing and would want to know if anyone uses seasoning in Bethesda Game Studios.
Outdated? This piece of garbage would not even have been made 20 years ago. If anything, a game this bland and pointless is ahead of its time - this is probably what the standard will be ten years from now. This is boundary-pushing soullessness. This game has probably sparked a revolution in the art of making terrible games in meeting rooms for empty suits. This is re-inventing the very lack of care for the quality of your product.
XD Nothing but Asian Food lol! Man I am a fan of a lot of Bethesda's past games but Starfield was just SO inconsistent in story/lore and just not enough to keep me hooked. Bethesda's push towards a Minecraft "Addon/Mod" Store for a quick buck has very much soured my taste that there next games will be good. BG3 "RPG Game of the Year/Decade" Basically Top-Down Morrowind, coming out at the same time was just a nail in the coffin.
@Cozzyhane nah tbh, the company porting it is pretty good. It may have a few flaws here and there, but I do believe they will release a well optimised game, I mean, the game was already very well optimised for ps4, I remeber loading times even on the ps4 was insanely quick
@@qadi796 I still can’t wrap my head around how they managed to get load times on the ps4 as quick as the average games loads on the ps5. Was that them prototyping the loading systems before the ps5 released?? Still you will love got for those haven’t played it. Looking forward to its reception from the of guys.
That is the thing, it looks pretty, graphically for a BGS game, but the true bones or DNA of any good rpg is the Lore and Story which is severely lacking in SF along with coherence, conflict, and tension. The companions and followers stories are worse than Fallout 4 and Skyrim. The environmental story is almost non-existent and they tell us more through memo pads than they show. They use to be good at showing. They also use to be good at immersion. SF breaks immersion so much be it the loading screens or the incoherence of story and environmental story telling.
lmfao, u know Andromeda isn't that bad, i enjoyed it! It was just not Mass effect 😅🤣🤣 Starfiled where to start, After the first trailer, i lost all hopes! It felt like Fallout 4 in space with lot of unecessary things and fore sure a poor fona and flora cause of the scale!
And they would have, but Bethesda also tried to profit from the mods of the community, so imagine charging extra money to be able to mod Skyrim... wait...
I think that statement is even funnier after so many big ticket BGS modders have come out to say "This is bad, we have no interest in modding it." Not to say it won't happen, but the guys known for it have no interest.
They put emphasis on space exploration, except wherever you land, there are already people there. What's the point of exploring What's already been explored.
Maybe she hadn't unlocked her dialogue attributes 😂 Only two options show up: 1. Take it and smile 2. Have a nice day To Unlock> "this not right" at Lvl 20: be encumbered 1million times (but this one doesn't count towards progression) 😊
@@bobmcbobbington9220 same. I think it reads more like a political promise than an actual statement anyone should take seriously. Needing a map to navigate a level doesn't really tell you much other than your level has a map associated with it. I don't think Todd should take it so personally.
@@marshallbeck9101 right? And imagine if NASA told the astronauts on the moon "hey we didn't send you coordinates to get home because we figured if we had to send you coordinates then we've failed as a space association"
Every f*cking time I play for more than an hour on my Series S, all the textures in the game fail to load in and start looking like soup. Then, at one point in the story my ship got permanently fused with another random ship sitting at the docking bay, preventing me from manually entering it. Now, during a mission where I have to flee an enemy on foot an escape by getting on my ship.. which I can't do. I am literally hard locked out of progressing anywhere beyond that chase scene. All of this on top of the fact that the entire UNIVERSE is made up of nothing but the same 5 or 6 structures copy/pasted over a 10000 times down to the same f*cking interiors, computer memos, item locations, NPCs. The exploration here would make even Ubisoft laugh in disbelief. It's utter GARBAGE
The gameplay is boring, the narrative is boring. Its the most "safe" cookie cutter narrative-wise story BGS IMO has ever put out. Its cookies without sugar, bland inside and out. People that still act like its a underrated gem, are coping and ignoring the hards facts of the games litany of misscomings.
Earlier I was thinking of a word to describe it after playing it for a few hundred hours......it's Sterilized, very safe to the point that no risks are taken narrative wise, and the big reveal was bland, and it wears out quickly enough to prevent one's enjoyment for a second playthrough...it's just too Sterile.
@@BattleManiac7 Exactly. Sure, it's bland as hell, but it was also what explorers, sailors and soldiers ate for hundreds of years. It has tenure, unlike starfield.
That dude literally assumed Starfield is a live service game just to cope. What the actual f is wrong with him. And what patch? Are people supposed to thank them for lengthy patch notes? Is that content now? Is that really the biggest problem of this game?
@micahlindley7515 it is strange to think of a game as a "live service" title and say that in the most unironic way possible. Thats literally how he said it no joke
If I buy a game and it's bad, I enjoy it failing. It kind of makes me feel no guilty about it, as they got my money, at least I get a bit of petty schadenfreude out of it.
I also have moments like this. There are games that I play, there are games that I watch others play and there are games that I just listen to the news about them.
OK, I'm the guy that baught a Xbox Series X for Starfield! 😅 With the controller, headset and collectors edition... I played the game and when I reached the end said to myself "was that it, was that the hype"
@@masterofmetaphors I would, yes. If I purchased the Xbox just for Starfield and it was the only game. I'm annoyed by it a little, if you get me.
@@globalist1990 yup, but I'm not usually like that. I've been debating to buy the Xbox for years and other than Microsoft flight sim and a few old titles I just couldn't justify it. But this game was meant to be massive! It was meant to be the biggest title they ever made.. I'm hopeful they will upgrade it and expand it
I still have hard time seein git from Matty's POV. I get he's a HARDCORE fan as he likes to tout but it's obvious seeing how much he's desperately holding on for hope from this developer after even some of the most loyal fans have jumped ship long ago already. AND given Bethesda's track record of "attempting" to fix their games on their own in the past, which has been pretty spotty to say the least, I'd say Matty is holding on to a continuing deflating balloon that is Starfield all on his own.
Sometimes it's hard to come to terms with something you love being different. It's like realizing an old friend has changed so much that you can't be his friend anymore. Video games can really leave an impact on someone and your favorites are special to you. To realize that studio is gone and you'll never have one of those defining experiences from them again is painful.
I think way back when Bethesda released Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Skyrim it hit the right demographic at the right time and they simplified the RPG for kids like Matty and Luke. But as years have gone by those kids got older and wanted more out of Bethesda and they never really changed. They got lazier and lazier with each game release and relied on their big fanbase to sell the game for them whether fixing it or making it better with mods or sending memes. Those kids/teens that played those games now are adults that have moved on and are playing something more like Baulder"s Gate 3 while Bethesda is stuck in 2011 still trying to make the same outdated game and becoming culturally insignificant to the newer generation and abandoned by the old looking for something deeper.
I think that's a great point and certainly explains a lot of what's gone on. There are still a load of young kids who will like Starfield as their first grown up game. And also, there are many comments from older gamers who dont' play many gamers, but also Starfields lite casualness suits them.
I will always remember that Larian (Baldurs gate) release a month early out of fear of competing with Starfield, and then when Starfield DID come out, it was being compared to how poor it was compared to Baldurs have poor it was compared to Liberty. Starfield is showing just how little Bethesda has changed, learned or grown in 13 years, they refuse to change or evolve.
Well. BG3 released more than a year later than planned actually. No one at Larian ever said they were concerned about releasing around Starfield either, that was a rumor. Swen said they were releasing because it was ready.
I just don't see how they can fix the game, as it's broken at it's very core: the game engine. Fallout 4 didn't have this many load screens and empty pointless space. One of the key thing in games, and Luke has talked about this many times, is the time between running across something interesting.
Its not only the Engine that is broken. I was sure everyone would notice when playing the game. Because its literally in your face when you play. But the core design of the game is fundamentally wrong. The lead designer or project manager, all these people need to be fired. Because they have no clue what they are doing! Nothing in this game really works. And when it peaks, it barely reaches mediocrity. Just like their previous games, the longer you play the more the gameworld and the game mechanics are breaking down infront of you. Every time after the 40-60 Minute mark. Base building would stop working, until restard of the program. I could write a litany whats wrong with the game. The list would never end. And i could write an entire essay why and which game design decisions in this game are bad and not working, and how it should be done. The entire "now game plus" mode or reason is utterly dumb to say the least. And it should be a useful game function instead of start a new and lose everything you have done so far... absolute retards.
With Starfield i remember i was let down so hard with the planet exploration. And not because you cant drive or are limited to a certain landing area. And not because its all generated. No! I am let down because planets are simply not generated at all. You cant go and explore a part of a planet piece by piece. No you simply explore mapseeds that dont even connect to each other. And i mean the whole planet has the same level area for npcs, like its a whole damn planet. They hyped up the 1k number so much but there are no planets at all just different mapseeds with bandit camps. And i dont know if they can or want to fix that.
Jup, and there’s like 10 unique camps that are just copy pasted throughout the game. Multiple times i’ve thought to myself “I’ve been here before. Why do I already know the layout wtf?”

I don’t understand why people keep giving credit to Bethesda for games made +10 years ago as if they wouldn’t be garbage if they came out now with how far game tech has come. Skyrim would be hated if it came out this year
See there's no "fixing" Starfield. The problems ARE the game. Like i was expecting a deep space survival game with compelling RPG mechanics and a story that posseses a unique mystery that begets a harrowing adventure. what we got. Okay we have a world that we are inteoduced to after all the interesting faction conflicts have happened, a space explorer group that....explores already settled planets. and our mystery that we are supposed to be fixated on unraveling are these alien structures that are....a thousand meters away from a space farmer's homestead. Also you meet other travelers like every other time you jump so the feeling of isolation is hone because some reason a space grandma is waiting on the other side of your jump to invite you onto her ship...
And it’s not like taking away settlers on the planet would fix it either. There’s also just not that much to explore imo. You just fast travel to every place. Not much to see along the way. The stuff you do stumble upon are usually the same copy pasted enemy hideouts/cryo facilities
Same. He is a bethesda fanboy and his audience are Bethesda fanboys. Too much fanboy bias from him because he needs to satisfy the fanboy audience and not upset them too much.
Cyberpunk’s main issue was performance, it’s world, characters and story were always good, or great depending upon perspective. Starfield is the least buggy most functioning game they’ve made, it’s also the most vacuous. It can’t be saved.
Why did Bethesda go back to that weird dialogue from Fallout 3 and New Vegas where the person is perfectly center frame? It looks so old. Interactions in Skyrim were so much more natural. You could talk to NPCs and they would continue working and stuff. It is way more immersive Look at Cyberpunk 2077 dialogue. It flows and keeps you engaged.
That was one of the biggest improvements I noticed in games like Witcher 2 and 3 compared to Bethesda. You'd get these lovely scenes that play out while a conversation takes place, with camera motion and characters animating. It just makes every interaction more rich and memorable. Some of that was lost in the first person perspective of Cyberpunk but it's still leagues better than a frozen zoomed in camera on an uncomfortable unmoving NPC lol.
So many people harping on about how modding tools will fix the game. What it...modders decide they do not want to fix Bethesda's forgettable experience for them? Starfields issue go far deeper than something mods would fix. On Steam Skyrim SE will regulary have twice as many players are Starfield.
I mean to be fair it's the same way people put in a shit ton of hours into call of duty even knowing that shit lol The game does a really good job of making you not realize you've waste your time until you hit a certain point it's definitely not something immediately apparent your first play through again unless you didn't actually play the game fully you probably wouldn't understand Either way it does a really good job of tracking you into continuously playing and hoping for something else only for it to turn out to be the same bullshit that is literally why people do not like the game
Starfield got me to replay a better Space RPG with actual choice and consequence (albeit a smaller & tighter experience); The Outer Worlds! I forgot how good and funny the writing was in that game until I replayed it!

oh we know. The Xbox refugees who came over after HiFi Rush, Sea of Thieves etc. came over, are the only ones eager for Starfield. Those of us on PS before that were so happy that we lost Starfield and Redfall exclusively to us. Now Microsoft are threatening us with actually resurrecting Starfield's original PS5 build... I keep hoping it's just an early April Fools' prank, I really do...
This video has to be art, imitating life, imitating art. When you think about Starfield's loading screens only to encounter the adverts contained in this video.....oof.
I just hope Bethesda changes their game engine or upgrades it again. They need to step up their game a few notches when it comes to Elder Scrolls 6. Don’t go messing that up as well.
They'll have an engine with 2023 standards when they release ES6 in 2043. I half joke, half don't. If you've ever tried to write even a simple 2D engine like I have, you know it's a TON of work. With how advanced new features are becoming, it's no wonder even million dollar companies are starting to scrap in-house engines. You need a full team dedicated to the engine 24/7.
The fact the they own the same studio that released doom eternal. Drives me crazy, why continue to use this old outdated engine. When you have the tools to create something way better. Imagine the next es was built on the Id tech 7 engine 🤯
They will mess up tes6 with Emil in charge of writing again, and they will rather go under as a studio than change engine so I'm not holding my breath.
They desperately need an engine change. With how the Creation Engine works, a open world seamless immersive space sim will just never work with how the engine handles loading and their cell system they use. While yes it's a great engine for modding, the cons heavily outweigh the pros of using Creation Engine 2 currently.
I kinda feel like that with Cyberpunk we all knew that there was a truly GREAT game in there somewhere. With Starfield it’s more like “yyyeah, I guess I can see how it could be transformed into something cool if we change some fundamentals”.
The most important difference being, that Cyberpunk, despite a lot of technical issues, had an excellent story, great world building, and the fundamentals for good gameplay. Starfield is just a bland story, in a generic world, with standard Bethesda gameplay. In addition to all the technical issues.
I doubt Starfield will ever have a comeback arc like CP2077 because even if the bones of the game were as good as 2077 (and of course they aren't) there just isn't the same kind of culture at BGS as there is at CDPR. CDPR understood that they needed a "comeback" so they set about earning one. I don't think BGS even feels that a "comeback" is necessary.
4:20, I also want to note that Starfield launching not long after Tears of the Kingdom also hurt it since it took the lunch Beth was known for (open-world sandbox) and ate it. Also not helping that Tears of the Kingdom had almost no load times going from the air to the Depths despite running on the Switch.
What exactly are people doing in Starfield, like what would you be doing in the game after you’ve beaten also, I feel like it’s like after doing your chores, you decide to go over them again.
Can’t speak for others, but for myself? Playing around with the ship builder. It’s really the one thing that hasn’t broken for me since release. Other than that? Taking contracts to destroy pirate ships and the like. More credits spent on ships. I kind of enjoyed the UC questline. The Sys Def pirate quest was ok, I guess. Nothing like being talked down to by some soft ass wannabe pirate suck ass, like Neava. I decided quite early on against becoming a pirate, largely because I had the mistaken impression I would be able to kill her and shut her up permanently. Imagine my shock, (not really) when the ability to do so was taken from me. Without her, I would have liked being a pirate. But she is just so insufferable. Was also instantly irritated that we do not have access to sys def space suits after completing the quest. Was extremely irritated and disappointed that I couldn’t get a ranger duster at the end of the FC rangers quest line. Don’t know who came up with these ideas, but they need to be reassigned to the unemployment line. All in all, the bugs broke my game several times, leaving several quests incomplete for way too long. Especially with what I paid for this disappointment. The last “patch”, if that’s what we are calling them now, fixed most of my issues. The big ones anyway. Lots of little things still not working quite right, all the time.
Yeah comparing Starfield to Cyberpunk wasn't really the way to go. I played Cyberpunk day 1 and as long as you ignored the open world, you could see there was a great game in there somewhere. And when they did fix that, the game became great (maybe minus the feeling of the game funneling you too quickly to the end game). Starfield? Playing that it feels like Fallout 4 but even more bland than that(compared to past Fallouts). I don't see how adding features and bug fixes can fix what is essentially a boring main game.
The fact you can’t play starfield on steam deck, but you can play 2077PL and baldur's gate 3 is such an oversight idk who is to blame for that but same with Jedi survivor, I can’t even stream that game to the deck.
I like Mattie but he is so stunningly naive at times. I don't see Starfield recovering. I don't think the creation kit will be dynamic enough to redo all that needs to be fixed. Unlike Skyrim where you can remake just about anything and everything in the game I think Bethesda made too many changes from the skyrim model to do what the game needs to have done.
that coffee analogy was perfect actually. it's like you ordered a venti, and not only did they fill it as a tall, but it's mostly whipped cream, mocha syrup, and whole milk; they completely forgot to add the actual coffee (funnily enough this shit actually has happened to me at starbucks before lol)
I really wanted this game to be good but man, they seriously had no vision for it whatsoever. Just a bunch of mechanics mashed together I don't care about, no other alien intelligent life species (unforgivable), and the story is so painfully safe and never are you making moral decisions on anything. Either they're a good guy or bad guy and you can really only side with good guys. So lame. I don't think it's fair for you to say modders are "checking out" before the creation kit even drops for it though, once the ball starts moving who knows what the community can turn this game into. The only evidence we have of modders leaving is the Skyrim Together team saying they aren't doing a MP mod for Starfield.
I feel like I'm the only person who actually liked the story lol, I sided with The Hunter, I just thought the entire thing was pretty interesting. But fuck those temples
@@Smugz Thats totally fair and I wish I experienced it the same .. Bells and whistles. They're adding cup holders and shiny wheels to a covered wagon. Nice, but it's still a covered wagon. Bells and whistles are a poor substitute for an interesting, engaging story. I'd like to see them add one of those.
The game engine/procedural generational isn’t able to allow any other type of transportation on planets. In-order to do so, they would have to scrap the entire game and start from scratch to do such a thing.
@@Nier73hand to this day they haven't figured out how they made that work lol, I don't think they will add any vehicles, I guess they will make it so you can fast travel closer to where you want to go, like preset travel points close to points of interest, that engine simply wasn't made to be like gta or any other open world game that supports vehicle travel...I am guessing the engine is at its limit at this point, it already out lived its predetermined lifespan.

I love these videos more than I love playing the game. Starfield is so boring. Bethesda must’ve forgot they were supposed to make an ENJOYABLE experience. The game is boring in all aspects with the exception of ship building. That’s literally it. You get the same POI’s / interiors / buildings / outpost / abandoned research stations / etc no matter what. There isn’t much variety to this game. Close combat is trash. There isn’t much variety to guns either. Wow the game is 4/10.. AT BEST.
The problem with people comparing 2077 and starfield is that cyberpunk was always an amazing game riddled with problems in the beginning but starfield at its core is just fundamentally boring in every aspect. To quote asmongold which I never do but it's a good saying. "Even if you polish shit it's still gonna be shit"
agree with photo mode. our consoles can screenshot images anyway. the biggest irk is there was no update. bg3 weekly updates blow starfield out of the water. it’s clear bethesda has moved on.
I finished Cyperpunk 2077 1.0 on PC (on a HDD) and played for about 150 hours with only a few minor bug like t-pose on bike and only 1 soft lock on sidequest that fixed itself from reload. Meanwhile Starfield is unplayable on a HDD. I think the main different between the games is that Cyperpunk 2077 (even without PL) is a solid one-off cinematic experience while Starfield is an empty playground that players has to cobble up the limited resources the game provided to find their fun. (In that case, Skyrim and Fallout does the same but better )
Why is it always seen as a negative to be critical? So would he act the same way toward something truly abhorrent, like Kill the Justice League? Skull & Bones? Would he be “that type of gamer” if he was critical towards those games? or does it only apply to the games he likes? It just makes him look passive. Like the cup could be empty, forget about half and he’d still try to be positive.
Bethesda has been testing what they can get away with for years. They have finally discovered the limit, but I don't think they considered the cost of doing that.
Got it on gamepass day one on my pc. Played 40 hours with 35 of those hours doing the glitches for money and farming then just stopped playing. Its shit.
I HATE when people keep bringing up cyberpunk when talking about starfield. Cyberpunks transformation are a unicorn level rarity. It’s completely foolish to think Bethesda could or would do that kind of change. But the problems are different than a cyberpunk had anyways, the core of the game is what isn’t good about starfield and you can only fix that by remaking the game. Lastly I hate this mod thing being looked at as exciting content and I feel bad for console players because it’s a worse version of what you can get on pc but you pay for it.
Man, I love Matty, but the amount of copium hes puffin is kind of disappointing. And I know he has to be more careful because he obviously wants to stay in Bethesda's corner. It does kind of make me skeptical of his reviews going forward.
I hate to bring the the bad news, but Starfield might have been tagged as non profitable asset already. They put a skeleton crew on it to push out some updates here and there and maybe there is a dlc in June, that's a size of something that a modder could throw together in a month. I would love to be wrong, but that's just what I think.
Look, Starfield was Todd Howard’s big masterpiece… it failed miserably and has demonstrated that Todd is no longer the best man for the job. He truly is like George Lucas in that regard.
I just dont understand how todd let his development team put this crap out. Like all the loading screens and depend on the modders to fix and enhance the game . And then Microsoft giving them a year of more time. I would be so embarrassed.
That’s not the best part, at release it was a nightmare to mod (might still be) because of the way they coded it. It was a game released with a high dependency on modders, that was actively hostile to said modders.
I still play starfield, I can’t help it, I’m addicted to the out post building. But that aside, this game is so out of date in its technology, and the writing of Emil is more glaringly obvious than ever before. They really need to get with the times and Emil has gotta go.
I think even the outpost building is really lacking if you compare it to the very sophisticated base building of NMS (where you can even build custom bases on capital ships).
Said this on a previous video that the game’s core design will not be fixed with an expansion. Even if they add a survival mode star field’s game design does not connect in the way say fallout 4’s survival mode influenced how you play like managing hunger and sleep on a long trip across the commonwealth
I don't know is the microsoft pulling the levers or something else but the reason I originally thought that SF could be a great game was because Bethesda needed to make something good to prove (after boring fallout games) that they are still a valid aaa studio interested in immersive player experience. I was wrong.
I still have yet to beat starfield. I got to a mission the other day where I had to steal something, even though the NPC was saying these were dangerous men I was dealing with and couldn’t take them out. Just the lack of options for progressing through a mission is awful. I want the ability to do what I want to do to complete a mission, not have everything be hand holding
The nail in the coffin was when I went to 5 random locations and 3/5 of the enemies were friendly to me due to story decisions. At that point, what the hell was the point of playing? It'd be like playing Skyrim and the forsworn are your only enemy.
This channel is about as thoughtful as me going to a stable, finding a horse with a broken leg, retiring said horse, and then subsequently kicking said horse over…and over….and over…and over…
what frustrates me is this game was "ready" before microsoft said no take a extra year...imagine the state it was a year earlier!..yikes!
Now that would’ve been on the level of Microsoft having to give people refunds level lol
what if it was exactly the same but a few more bugs in the first 5 hours
Just like all their previous games then? Released broken and forever broken afterwards, unless Modders fixed it for them, or at least as much as they could.

You cant fix Starfield because the bones are bad. The bones are hollow and there is no way fixing it.
Cyberpunk was a broken mess but there was a well written story, with good cinematography, no cutscenes, and a beautiful and well planned out city. IE there was something to fix. There’s nothing to fix with star field It runs fine, it’s just an empty game
Exactly
Also, Bethesda thinks the game is great, & its the players that are the problem. Hard to fix something you don't see as broken 😉.
Bethesda would never put in the work to fix it. They are far too lazy a studio to take on such a task.
Exploration in Helldivers 2 is more interesting than in Starfield.
This actually made me laugh hard!

The funny thing is, by Todd Howard's definition of "explore any planet", you can "explore any planet" in Helldivers lol. It's the same thing you pick a planet your ship goes there and you load into the planet and you have a range that you can travel within the generated part of that planet that is randomly loaded in for you.

The writing in this game was so bad that it made me consider apologizing to the andromeda team

To realize that studio is gone and you'll never have one of those defining experiences from them again is painful.
Starfield optimism = Seeing the glass of piss as half full
I thing bg3 is not a good comparison. Bethesda style rpgs are much more casual.
When Matty's water jug brings more excitement than Starfield's latest big update.....
Compared to Starfield, the Water Jug always works and helps keep you hydrated.
Starfield’s main quest is literally just a fetch quest. 💀
This!!
new ways to travel= new loading screens

Since when adding a map is “content”? The copium is unbelievable when it comes to Bethesda.

And diversity hires, don't forget those.

I just hope Bethesda changes their game engine or upgrades it again. They need to step up their game a few notches when it comes to Elder Scrolls 6. Don’t go messing that up as well.
They won't. They've stated time and time again that they won't.
Maybe it should have been named "Star Chores"
First problem is going to Starbucks for coffee
When even the fanboy/shill channels refuse to defend your game, you know you’re in trouble.
The shill channels are those who attack starfield
I like Mattie but he is so stunningly naive at times.
I don't see Starfield recovering. I don't think the creation kit will be dynamic enough to redo all that needs to be fixed. Unlike Skyrim where you can remake just about anything and everything in the game I think Bethesda made too many changes from the skyrim model to do what the game needs to have done.
Skyrim is a bad game no different from starfield.
I think if starfield was a survival game playing it would feel less bland.
You'd say least have something to do.
that coffee analogy was perfect actually. it's like you ordered a venti, and not only did they fill it as a tall, but it's mostly whipped cream, mocha syrup, and whole milk; they completely forgot to add the actual coffee (funnily enough this shit actually has happened to me at starbucks before lol)
"you know those friends you go to the coffee shop with"
.... im old.. i literally laughed out loud at that line
I went in with maybe too high hopes because I love Bethesda but I quickly saw the curtain fall and seeing how it mechanically operated and was like damnn .. I'm still very optimistic for when the modding scene starts up for it though.
Mr.Mattyshills... great...
Bells and whistles. They're adding cup holders and shiny wheels to a covered wagon. Nice, but it's still a covered wagon. Bells and whistles are a poor substitute for an interesting, engaging story. I'd like to see them add one of those.
Unbelievable 6 months later and still no city maps or vehicles
The game engine/procedural generational isn’t able to allow any other type of transportation on planets. In-order to do so, they would have to scrap the entire game and start from scratch to do such a thing.
@@dialatedtechnology some modder who made Fallout NV the Frontier had vehicles.
@@DarkRipper117 just say you don't have a clue what ur talking about
@@Nier73hsome of the people in the frontier were degenerates but some of them were also master of black Magick. They did some impressive stuff in that expansion like the vehicles because they weren't just reskinned horses but actually driving and it wasn't half bad.
Helldivers 2 is worth peoples time not Starfield.
Mr matty is such a clown tbh. His opinion sways on games he plays based on the popular opinion at the time
Probably why ACG stopped working with him.
I'll never forget " a near perfect game" review for fallout 4
If it makes people bltch and cry like this I'd do it too, for shits and giggles
Poor Matty can't criticise Starfield because Bethesda won't give him any early access to anything.
@@theoncousland4587mrmattyshills ! Lol
You just love to hear the sound of your own voice don’t you
@@donseavey3704 Please add something substantive, 🙏 I beg you. Rub those braincells and bring something resembling a constructed retort.
@@r.e.z9428 go take a shower, I beg you, your stupid takes in the youtube comments is absolutely worthless and no cares what you think, I beg you
I need Bethesda to drop significant *free* improvements to the game before I spend anymore time on it
Bethesda has been testing what they can get away with for years. They have finally discovered the limit, but I don't think they considered the cost of doing that.
He did that cut intentionally because as soon as the loading screen ends then it cuts to other video😂
Mr Matty copes
I wonder if he has a copium mine beneath his house? It would explain much..
I wish Bethesda would stop working on like 5 different projects at the same time when 1 can't even come out right.
Got it on gamepass day one on my pc. Played 40 hours with 35 of those hours doing the glitches for money and farming then just stopped playing. Its shit.
MrMatty got outed as a shill because of this game
Lots of RUclipsrs got outed... They shilled so hard for Starfield at release because of sponsorships and early journalist access.
Im excited for their big DLC release of our moon, with the description "The astronauts had fun here, so should you!"
Sharted Space is funny, especially because we were calling the game Shartfield for a while.
Could be a good thing.
Case of too many chefs in the kitchen.
Mirrowind, oblivion had small teams, and a much deeper cohesive experience.
Starfield
Both are terrible
Astroneer>starfield
The most condemning thing I can say about Starfiled is that it renewed my interest in Star Citizen. Shame on Bethesda.
Mothership Zeta > Starfield
Star Citizen is fackin amazing. No comparison.
Clean your house every day, or exercise. Then you'll at least have done something with your time.
Dont feel bad man. People whining and bltching on the internet shouldn't stop you from doing whatever you want. At least you acknowledge the faults
The npc is uglier than skyrim even without mod
And white people are mostly extinct too. Sweet baby inc fingers doing their Magick it seems.
Being a Bethesda content creator must be miserable these days
I couldn't finish the story due to a gamebreaking bug.
@@themagnus2919 thankfully I haven’t had any bugs in my playthroughs so far, but I just can’t bring myself to beat the game. It’s too awful
The nail in the coffin was when I went to 5 random locations and 3/5 of the enemies were friendly to me due to story decisions.
At that point, what the hell was the point of playing? It'd be like playing Skyrim and the forsworn are your only enemy.
This channel is about as thoughtful as me going to a stable, finding a horse with a broken leg, retiring said horse, and then subsequently kicking said horse over…and over….and over…and over…
Lazy content from both parties here.
We all know it’s mediocre. Of course it’s still struggling.
I heard the new Fallout Series on Prime will have Mod support
So fans will be able to fix that too
