He did smoke some pot but that was about it. He stayed away from the pills which killed Keith and the excessive alcohol which killed John. He also had a very solid stable home life and relationship away from the band, down on his farm. The others just had a vacuum to fill. To his credit he tried to steer the others down the right path and even got in a fight with Keith after he flushed the band's stash of amphetamines down the toilet, as he was sick of them spoiling gigs by turning up all spaced-out. Inn the end they made a truce.. no fighting by Roger, and no pills before gigs by the others. For most of their career the band members were not even friends, but he reckons the tense dynamic helped the music. It's all in the book, I highly recommend it.

That Keith move is never going to happen. Roger been talking about that since the 90’s. The film never will happen.

The Beatles became a Who tribute band around '66. Roger is part of the reason why.

Roger as an honorary pensioner is just a dead ringer for our old middle-school bus driver, the *_one_* - the only! - certainly the equally inimitable,
. Mrs. Wilhelmina. "Gortex." Brexton. (Thanks, Mrs. B:-)

Roger is so down to earth while Paul McCartney and some other of the English invasion legends and American are knobs.

GS Grant yep you can tell Paul is full of himself.. you feel it come off him and his attitude.. I felt it at a concert Of his a month ago... very fake and what not all show.. SAD!

Well Roger was only the singer of a popular band, while Paul was the singer of the most popular band ever, the songwriter with the most hits in the world, his hit song is the most covered song in the world so.. 🙄 Don't compare apples to oranges.

@@akiheavenly6By that logic Westlife are better than say The Clash because they sold more records. The Who were a brilliant live band and influenced punk rock and so much more. The Beatles were a pop band who shifted units mcCartney like Lennon is an utter prat as well and was never a Great musician

At a time of Cliff Richard and the Young Ones, the Who were mesmerising and a real music cult

Roger is never going to make that Keith Moon movie. If you you look it up he’s been talking about the film from the 90’s onward. Who wants to see a film like Carry on Keith.
