I love this show, I'm glad you keep posting them even though you tube keeps taking them down. Living in the U.S. it's the only way I can see this show.
From a lady who just found out she's having open heart surgery in less than two weeks, thanks for this Ovid. I need the laughs. Oh lol Evelyn is brilliant
I'm curious if the "wheel of news" is just the topics that the comedians themselves want to do a bit of stand-up about. So not surprisingly, the topic of "identity" shows up for Evelyn. It's a nice introduction, but it would be nice to see what other stuff she's got.
it might be passable for a first timer ever in a small comedy club (though doubtful)- not really of the standard you would expect for someone invited onto mock the week
I'd wish there was "Moche die Woche", but sadly though in germany isn't anything similar. Well, there used to be "7 Tage, 7 Köpfe" (7 days, 7 heads) which had some similarities but that's long gone. I think german tele has yet to understand the concept of humorous panel shows.... ....or humour in general for that matter
My best friend and I love Mock The Week, and we have lamented the fact that we don't have anything similar here in Quebec either! Quebec is the only mainly French-speaking province in Canada, so we make a lot of our own french programming - and the Mock The Week format, style, and humour would fit exceedingly well here! We also used to have a gameshow a little like Mock The Week called Piment Fort (Hot Pepper), but in particular the humour was more... Mean-spirited and often targeted? So I think the production company & team, and the host really matter to make it. I guess what I'm saying is Dara O'Briain is a great host for Mock The Week, and I'm glad this show is still around and available on RUclips! 😁
Also, I find the title "Piment Fort" funny. Literally translates to Hot Pepper, which I find funny because while "frog" is a... derogatory term for French person, "pepper" is one for a typical french-speaking Quebec person. But then again I'm a little different, being an anglophone in a francophone province in an anglophone country. ("I'm a minority in a minority! And my minority is from the majority that oppressed the other minorities! Of course I'm conflicted!!" 😆 )
What are your saying? Was the first half of last century not supposed to be funny? I think it was hilarious.... 😂😂😂 I'm sorry, it was a cheap shot. Just a joke...
@@bluchu22 Fair point, I did not realize it before Dara said so, but it has been a refreshing experience to see the faces of the audience (or at least some of them) compared to the old series where we only randomly got glimpses of the studio audience. But yes, I have enjoyed the experience quite a lot, so I will actually miss that if it goes back to the old style audience. I hope they will land on a joint experience where some people get to go to the studio, while lots of others can join by Zoom.
I hope Angela did not have pockets while wearing the magnets. If she put her Oyster card in the pocket, it would be useless afterward as it would be de-magnetized.
Hugh surprised me with a couple of good ones this time. First; the variant "it contains childish language, right from the beginnie-winnie" (nice contrast to the swearwords version). Second joke "My wife died... almost an hour ago" - never heard that one before. So nice to see the reactions from the others, especially Maise's. To me, she seems to be a good measure of how good the jokes are (yeah, I am a bit slow to get the jokes).
Now my only form of entertainment at the weekend is setting fire to my testicles. If only they were more flammable, I wouldn't have to spend half my weekly food budget on lighter fluid. :(
That one really hit home for me. I had to laugh and cry at the same time, remembering my mom who passed away half a year ago. (She was an Elvis fan too.)
@@Suudsi Thanks, appreciated. Even though she had lived a long life and was more than 80 years old when she passed away (and thus a teenager when Elvis started his career), the loss brought out more emotions than I could predict. That's life.

Kudos to Ed and his "Curtain call for 'Pandemic the Musical'." 😂

Shame about her stupid hair.

All were excellent tonight. I wish you luck with your surgery; mine is soon also.
Good luck to both of you.

Wishing you both a great recovery and a long, happy and healthy life! ❤️
