I gotta wonder what happened to all those books. Did they remain as evidence? Did someone try to still deliver them to the kids (I think Christy would have liked that). On the other hand, if there was possibly blood or something on them, maybe not. Imagine all those poor kids finding out their teacher was dead. Ugh
@@jasonhaynes2952 I hope to god that those kids didn’t find out she was killed at first. I had a teacher in kindergarten who started to have some mental problems or something. The school lied to all of us saying she had back problems. I had subs for the rest of the year.

Amazing video as always! You probably won’t see this, but there’s a murder case involving my alma mater (Western Washington University) that hasn’t been getting a lot of attention. An academic advisor named Kathy Patrick is the prime suspect in the 1988 murder of Carolyn Abel, who taught English at WWU. She was stabbed 40+ times. Kathy Patrick hasn’t been arrested or even fired because the murder occurred in South Korea, and the international laws are weird. I would love for this case to get more attention and for Carolyn Abel’s family to get justice. I feel weird asking for likes, but maybe upvote this to get Kendall’s attention? Thanks ❤️
It is so sad the way people are heartlessly murdered or raped it is horrific the rhyme and reason people do the things they do. I believe your videos not only make people aware of these situations and their surroundings, but also makes these cases more known and helps the family get more closure. Thank you for your videos and talking about the cases!

the dna found on jon bennet was compromised due to the fact that her father held her lifeless body upon finding her. furthermore, the family also had friends and family enter the scene of the crime to give them comfort which also compromised the scene.
@@llmeekos exactly. It's like the police didn't consider it a crime scene at all, and it was still a kidnapping even before they knew she was in the basement and already deceased. :(
The paper and pen from the ransom note and the paintbrush used to tighten her noose came from the Ramsey house. Also the killer fed her canned pineapple from her own cupboard before the murder. Very, very strange circumstances
Autopsy showed she last thing she ate was pineapple, the cops found a half eaten bowl on the kitchen counter. Pasty Ramsey said she didn't give her that and she doesn't know who did, she didn't say Burke gave it to her..she figured the killer did..it was an interview I seen, idk which one..if you Google it, it will say

💔 I have no relation to her, but you know how some cases just hit home for some reason? Christy had such a radiant smile and seemed like such a wonderful person. It's absolutely heartbreaking this is how her life ended. :(
Another interesting case, solved by DNA: I'm from the Netherlands, and in 1998 a boy went missing here. His name was Nicky Verstappen. He was 11 years old, and on a campingtrip with(I believe) his scouting. On the night of his disappearance, he went to bed at around 22.00 PM. One of his friends stated to have seen him at 05:00 AM. After that, nobody saw him again. At first, the police actually didnt take action, so the people from the town just went searching. It was a day later, when police actually got to work. They used a dog and a plane, and luckily they found him, sadly, Nicky had died. He was found in his pyjamas, but naked from the waist down. It was quickly concluded he was likely raped(DNA was found in the form of sperm on his body, I think. Not sure about that). For 20 years, the killer wasnt found. It was very sad, but it did get a lot of attention. Nicky's parents were constantly on TV, and famous detectives were involved. In January of 2018, police decided to do a big DNA-search. They basically asked 1000's of men who lived nearby the camp in 1998, who knew Nicky, or who worked at the campsite during that time, for a sample. Eventually, they got a clue: Mr. Jos Brech. In 1998, he lived in a town nearby, and they even spoke to him earlier. Back then, he was noted as an "innocent hiker". They questioned him twice, but he wasnt noted as a suspect. It was inconvenient though, that at the moment of the DNA-match Mr. Brech had been reported missing himself. Eventually, someone recognized him from a picture, he was arrested in Spain.
Sadly the DNA in the Ramsey case was compromised because her father held her body upon finding her and the police really didn’t take it seriously by keeping people away.
@@nicandre7943 We know who killed Caylee. Check the search history for FIREFOX, not Internet Explorer. Even Jose Baez thought the prosecution was going to bury them with that information but those idiots forgot to include it.
The parents ruined the dna on scene. They deliberately put their dna on her body in front of police so that (allegedly) the cops would expect their dna on her and not be able to use it.
I can only imagine how her life would have turned out if it wasn't taken from her. You just kind of know that one day she would have been an amazing mother (and probably grandmother too). So Sad
I'm really confused how that "secret bf" showed up with flowers right after she died. A guy who's never done that before🤔There has to be some sort of connection.
Baby Dragon I actually think he didn’t know what was going on and maybe thought she was mad at him and ignoring him. So he decided to take her flowers .
Kendall, I just have to say that you cover these cases with such empathy and passion for the families and for justice. Such an interesting case. I'm so glad this was solved. What a horrific and terrifying way to die.
I don't want to minimize it at all, but I suppose there's always a chance the actual murder was accidental and he wasn't a total psycho. Still a piece of shit though.
@@ahhh9k I was wondering that myself so I Googled it, and of course, Christy's family also wanted to know why he did it, but no one knows why, and most likely no one will ever know why. Apparently, the police didn't think it was important enough to find out why he did it since there was DNA evidence and he confessed. It's unfortunate because it seems important to me personally as to why someone would beat, rape, and murder someone like that. I have so many unanswered questions. I'm glad he's in prison now though and hopefully he will rot in there
That might not work in some cases, for example: a man kills another man,but a woman gets her dna everywhere trying to defend the man getting killed. It might frame the woman if they just used dna. But I agree, they need to use DNA for some things
@@TAMANDJON If I undertand correctly, first they came up with an image of what he might look like from his DNA. Then when the ladsy tracked down the family from the DNA she looked for any published information about them and found an engagement announcement for the son in the family with a photo that looked similar to the image they had from the DNA. Then they followed him and got a DNA sample from his trash to confirm.

So.. e was a well known DJ and was probably flirting with a lot of women (cliché, but could be) and since Christy seemed to have this secret boyfriend and was a good person she'd probably brush him off. It's really sad, but there's LOADS of people who REALLY can't handle being brushed off by someone. So he might've gotten angry, followed her home that day (so he knew where she lived) and we know the rest..It's truly heartbreaking that people are capable of such cruelty. rip christy.
It's heartbreaking that Christy was wrapping a presents for the kids at school but .. she was murdered. It's sad.. RIP Christy Mirack
@@jasonhaynes2952 i read on another comment that the books were given to the students and that they each opened them privately in the office i think
@@jasonhaynes2952 I was one of her students, we received the books.
Is it bad that I want to know if those kids ever got their Christmas presents? Or was that used on evidence those books
Emily Rose Funk they did! I checked lol I wanted to know aswell! Her family hand delivered them to the school. And I heard each child opened theirs privately in the office I believe :)

Thanks ❤️
Madeline Henry omg I go to wsu and have lots of friends who go to western and never heard this! Thankyoy
Adding a comment to help get attention to this. Thanks for writing!
Would love to hear more about this. Glad you’re bringing attention to it 🖤
Anne Gardner right?? I only just heard about it last week. It’s so tragic.
I’ve lived in Bellingham my whole life and never heard of this! Crazy!
It is so sad the way people are heartlessly murdered or raped it is horrific the rhyme and reason people do the things they do. I believe your videos not only make people aware of these situations and their surroundings, but also makes these cases more known and helps the family get more closure. Thank you for your videos and talking about the cases!
It's even sadder that it seems these horrible things happen to the best people
Maribeth Juasha IKR idk how he could live all those years and be fine with what he did
Emma Skoglund him doing that anti violence bullshit because he felt guilty
i always wonder how the spouses feel. like, imagine having been married to someone for several years, having a kid (or more than one) with them, all of that, and then having this happen? makes you wonder about the people you surround yourself with
Just goes to show you never really know somebody.
Whenever a really good person dies I remember this quote:
“Why do the best people die?”
“When you’re in a garden, which flowers do you pick?”
“The most beautiful ones”
😭😭😭😭😭😭
Awwww RIP Christy Marack I hope her soul is in a better place now far from a violent world😭😭

WHY HAVEN'T THEY RAN DNA FROM JON BENNET RAMSAY CASE
the dna found on jon bennet was compromised due to the fact that her father held her lifeless body upon finding her. furthermore, the family also had friends and family enter the scene of the crime to give them comfort which also compromised the scene.
@@llmeekos exactly. It's like the police didn't consider it a crime scene at all, and it was still a kidnapping even before they knew she was in the basement and already deceased. :(
I think the DNA was way too tampered with? Even so, I think it’s worth a shot even if it’s to confirm things we already know (parents etc)
HE DJ’d my high school prom…….I was within feet of him. So fucking scary. So glad he’s caught!!!! Poor Christy.
Better late than never. At least her family can rest easier knowing they finally got some justice for Christy.
I'm currently writing an argumentative essay in support of law enforcement's use of genetic genealogy to solve cases! Going to use this case as one of many recent examples of solved cold cases. It's amazing what science can do.

"life in prison without the possibility of parole PLUS 60 YEARS".. ya know just in case he miraculously comes back to life after dying and ends up in the jail cell again lmao
Your Highness MSP his ghost will be locked up for 60 years😏
Actually when you get life your sentence can be cut down to just 15 years. So say he finishes his 15 years out. Now he now has another 60 There for. He actually only has 75 Maybe less
@@shelby7188 lmao!
Sentences are given per the crime(s) committed. It’s easier to keep the numbers consistent.
@@Idonotcomply0919 in my state I often hear them say, "life sentence without parole".... Doesn't that mean it's an actual "life" sentence?

I have no relation to her, but you know how some cases just hit home for some reason? Christy had such a radiant smile and seemed like such a wonderful person. It's absolutely heartbreaking this is how her life ended. :(
😭 she wrapped her students up gifts 😭 this is one of the saddest cases.

love this series, kendall. rest in peace Christy
It always amaze me how many killers are around us and we really don’t know about it.
Another interesting case, solved by DNA:
I'm from the Netherlands, and in 1998 a boy went missing here.
I hope they use this technology on the JonBenet Ramsey and Madeline McCann cases
And Caylee Anthony too!! Let’s not forget that poor, poor little soul!!
Nic Andre not possible for her. She was just bones, scattered everywhere. Sad, but we will never know, I mean we know, but will never see her justice.
This was my friend’s wedding DJ and their wedding was just before he got caught! It’s absolutely crazy. Thanks for covering this Kendall!

The saddest part about this story is the fact that her mom died before she ever got see justice prevail.

Either way its a sad situation to be in

I don't want to minimize it at all, but I suppose there's always a chance the actual murder was accidental and he wasn't a total psycho.
Still a piece of shit though.
@@coffeepoweredkatie6290 he beat her, raped her, broke her jaw. How could that possibly be accidental???
@@coffeepoweredkatie6290 So he just fell on her?
Yo did they ever find out why he killed her?
@@ahhh9k I was wondering that myself so I Googled it, and of course, Christy's family also wanted to know why he did it, but no one knows why, and most likely no one will ever know why. Apparently, the police didn't think it was important enough to find out why he did it since there was DNA evidence and he confessed. It's unfortunate because it seems important to me personally as to why someone would beat, rape, and murder someone like that. I have so many unanswered questions. I'm glad he's in prison now though and hopefully he will rot in there
This DNA stuff is so cool. Honestly it’s mind blowing. They gotta do this in like all crimes. Things would be getting done and done good!
That might not work in some cases, for example: a man kills another man,but a woman gets her dna everywhere trying to defend the man getting killed. It might frame the woman if they just used dna. But I agree, they need to use DNA for some things
I'm a little lost. How did the lady connect the DJ to the DNA? To compare the picture to him. 😫
Hats off to the woman who solved this! 👏🏻
