I was thinking that I hope they never broke up after having this emotion be expressed. I have a beautiful story of meeting and getting together with my wife, and I'm thankful for her, 30 years after we met!
I was there, about 3 people deep, what dreams are made of - Neil is God, RIP paul...she came out of the water, into my horizon, like a cumulonimbus coming in from a distance
I love this song done live,I'm trying to find the version where he sings "lying on the hot sands of mount Marmanui (?Spelling? ). might be outside Sydney Opera House? ? Can you good people help please? Cheers!
I believe he's sung this version a few times but the most obvious one was from the Fleadh festival in London 1994. There used to be some vids of this version floating about but they seem to be blocked now, though I know that a semi-official bootleg of this concert exists along with some not-so-official recordings on the net - so happy searching. PS The spelling of the place is Mount Maunganui :-)
Peter Green from the Crowded House Fan Club has now put the video of the version you're thinking of on RUclips : ruclips.net/video/QHx7pMl5r9U/видео.html

It's taken a quarter of a century, but I've finally forgiven the greatest Melbourne band ever for going out with a gig in Sydney.

I wish it was, and I wish it was very active. Burn, Sydney, burn!
3:16 the interference on the FM radio of a distant thunder storm?
Just realised, maybe not THIS TIME @ Sydney OH! :)
Cumulonimbus anyone?
‘Ere that drummers a bit good ain’t he?
He was, and taken too soon.
