Definitely out coached,especially in the first half. Why the VT OC did not try to stretch the field with the talented WRs is puzzling. VT played right into Vandy`s hands.
Agreed!! There was a point in the early 3rd where I didn't know if freghin' Stinespring was back! 🤦🏻♂️. Lol. Just so many unexplainable play calls and coaching decisions. GO HOKIES!

S.Sanders- 445 yds, 4tds, 1int. C.Ward-385yds,3tds,1int. K.Drones- 322yds, 2tds, 1int. Also the interception was a 50yd td if not tipped. And tight end dropped td 30yrds out. That was 400yds, 4tds, no picks. And some idiots think drones is the problem. Please don't speak.
Learn from the mistakes and get back on track. 1-0 this week against Marshall.

Because they can't coach dude seriously same reason the most explosive player on the team (Bradshaw) and our Best Qb (Pop Watson) are over there on the sidelines the whole game I betcha anything Pop is the best qb on that roster smdh

Agree all that nil money and all summer to prepare and all we did was strrrrrrrreeeeetched out run plays that take forever to develop and screens.

O line is undersized. D line gets no push. And Bowen needed to be fired a year ago. Rooting for Pry to make the tough decisions that Beamer and Fuente couldn’t and dragged their feet on.
New O Coordinator no matter what at the end of the season. And Pry needs to call the defense to a certain degree. First time HC with two first time Coordinators and it shows.

A new coach should have an experienced OC and DC not guys learning on the job. I don’t care if you bust off 3 or 4 wins in a row it’s time for a change on the coaching staff.
Facts: VT can win the ACC. Delane could be a 1st rd pick. His combine will be ridiculous. Drones can throw for 3800 and 30tds. The defense could be a top 20 defense in nation if they fucking run through these blockers and ball carriers. VT could have the most kids drafted in next year's draft. Hopefully it happens. If not it happens.

Correct! The team plays like the coaches personality! Pry coaches scared and the team plays like it. Pry coaches like he is afraid to make a mistake! It’s football you make mistakes. The key is you have to play to win! Look at this press conference, he looks scared! He also looks clueless. He reminds me of Jason Garret from the Dallas Cowboys!
The attitude in the press conference says it all. The same attitude was on the field against Vanderbilt. Where is the confidence and enthusiasm?
Why did our defensive co not try to stop Pavia from running up the middle all day long ???

Players stay and they say culture is a huge reason why. Making significant strides in state recruiting. Have a room of 4 star qbs and recievers. Winning recruiting battles against top 10 programs. But some idiots think pry is the problem. Please don't speak.

I also think pop watson would have ran that ball in during overtime. I think pry hung his hat on wells and I don't understand. He's doing the same thing with schlee when pop watson has shown electric ability. Hopefully pop will stay if drones goes pro. Cunningham is to big not to be on the line. This VT defense had its moments but they need to be more violent. The front 7 let vandi get in tight on them instead of using there hands to shed blocks and make plays
These coaches know he's the best qb but yet won't play him and that's some bulls**** bringing that other qb in and putting him over Pop whose been there and earned It that's not right
How is our defense so unprepared that Vanderbilt can score on 4 of their first 5 possessions and couldn't get any stops when it mattered
The run game was east-west...it was rarely north-south
Vandi has 5 fumbles and falls on all of them. VT didn't keep outside leverage on davia and it killed them. Slow starts huh. When score should have been 7-3 VT if pass isn't tipped. Bowen did struggle in certain situations but he does have some genius with his calls. When people are wide open down field mostly indicates defenes are cheating up. When you can't run the ball the only reason the defense would do this is because of the side to side passing. If they were able to run the ball I think they would have thrown the ball down the field more.
I'm not buying that excuse that teams secondary was ranked 129th in the Nation last year so a good coordinator would have came out pushing the ball downfield and the same way you run to open up the pass you can pass to open up the run

Where is the confidence and enthusiasm? And why hasn’t Pry made tough decisions with his staff if they are not rising to the level that everyone expects?
trust the process people, it's a tough loss but the ACC is wide open this year
VT has a top 10 defense if: they see what they hit. Play assignment football instead of playing with there eyes, find a way to turn the ball over and get off field on 3rd and long. Nothing changes with vandi loss. VT was going to have to win ACC to get in to playoff. There schedule is to weak and clemson didn't help. Miami is the only tough game on schedule. VT should still win 9-10 games. The small things matter way more than throwing the ball down the field.
Poor game plan, poor execution. No defensive adjustments to a running QB. Big changes needed.

A high school team could do better than that. Something is wrong with Pry.

Marshall 21 VT 7 is my prediction.
To win football games we need a great defense, a good running game and few coaching mistakes.

I've said and said it and said it. Drones is a terrible Quarterback. The Offensive and him do not Gel. And they don't. And it's Glaring. Let's not forget the 1st half here folks. We were 3-17. And they were running over us. Like a train wreck. Our supposedly unbeatable """NEW @ IMPROVED" "offense was exactly like last year's STEAM ROLLER offensive. Nobody could block. Nobody knew what was going on. And Mr. Wonderful; The Big D. Were 3 and out, 3 and out. 3 and out again. Every time we got the ball 3 and out. So where was Mr. Wonderful this game Pry????????? Where was this unstoppable "Defense""" We looked as bad as bad could get. All the hype, all the talk, all the everything...!!!!! Where was it????? Your days are numbered Pry, and you can take Mr. Big D with you. The Fans are sick to death with you and Mr. Wonderful. Drones is horrible. The offense couldn't keep a nun out of the backfield. And the defense just blew everything. And you still talk a mean game Coach. But your record speaks for itself. Plumb Pathetic. And unfortunately, I'm stuck for life as a fan. We need a New Coach Again.

Please do not speak for “The Fans”. We are not sick of anything. Coach Pry has been turning the program around in case you forgot where it was at when he took over the job. If anyone thinks you can just show up and go from Fuente’s destruction to a 10 win season overnight, they are insane. Drones had a solid second half, the play calling on both sides of the ball cost us in the first half. They made huge adjustments going into the second half and it showed. They took too long trying to open up the run in the first half, and they were too soft on defense. But to put that entirely on Coach Pry and Drones? You must have watched a different game than everyone else.
@@thebigfellar7178 i think kyron is fine I just think the idea of throwing screens and running all these weird run action plays that take a day or two to develop isn’t what they should be doing…quick hitting the hole run plays and stretching the defense vertically to open the run game is more ideal. Defensively practicing against dual threat qbs all week between drones schee and Watson you would think they’d have ideas and adjustments
To add I like pry I think he is a good fit for tech I’m not sure if Marve or Bowen are a good fit. (Take that back I’m pretty sure they ain’t lol)
@@ncaagaming2473 Its not that they aren't a fit or anything we're just paying for their inexperience with gametime. Which could be good, right, they could have a high ceiling just like a football prospect. But right now its not ideal.
Getting outschemed when we've had the best roster in 10 years cannot happen. The only thing I don't like with Pry is the coaches with him. Like when we had 2 OC's. Bowen last year was basically dead in the water, he said screw it and started taking shots and being aggressive! I'm worried he's just going to be in the same situation this year, where fans get frustrated, then he says alright lets just get crazy with it after 2 or 3 losses before he has success.
Everything that Pry is preaching I'm all for, but now he's assembled his squad after a few years and he has to show a proof of concept. "If you come to this school this is what will happen" to show the top recruits. Right now we aren't showing that you'll be able to reach the playoff, win close or primetime games etc.
I will die on this hill that Drones is an NFL quarterback btw. Its how our weapons were being used last game that was the issue. Plus we have got to figure out how to stop running QBs...
