My brain is working overtime. Have you tried using batting or foam cut to the exact size and then wrapping the fabric over it. Obviously, it would take at least 3/4" or more around the sides. I know I will also be using my embroidery machine with your kits as well. Thank you for your great tutorials!!
Yes Nadyne, thanks for asking. We do use batting a lot with our projects. The batting just go on the top of the chipboard and then the fabric goes around gluing just the edges. Have fun!! Can't wait to see your embroidery projects in boxes!!

You can also make a nice quilting pattern and cover your batting
