Using Gohan's Super Saiyan 2 transformation for when Red snaps was brilliant. Because after his explosion of rage, Gohan hardly said anything to Cell, depending on the dub. It is the silent rage that is far more scary than just mindlessly screaming.

Since everyone brought up everything else, I’ll just say I freaking love Erika’s costume and the detail of all the bribes. You’ve made Team Rocket WAY more of a threat than they were. Turning them into the proper mob really is a game changer for what they do. Even if stealing Pokémon is ultimately still dumb considering the limitless Pokémon outside the legendaries and pseudo legendaries. But that makes them that much more needlessly cruel.
Also happy you gave Leaf Bulbasaur. If that thing turns into big boy Venusaur and she builds a genuine team like Blue and Red I’ll be pleased.

Really liked Green backstory, it's a way to seamlessly integrate her into the series, by helping Red take down the Celadon crime cell. Cubone and Marowak stuff was dark as hell but I can see where it's coming from. Here's hoping Charizard will make its appearance while wrecking team rocket. Great job as always!

Absolutely loved Green’s backstory, it’s a great way to introduce her. I also love how almost everyone in Celadon was getting paid off and how the Cubone stuff is what made Red finally snap. I’m very excited for the next one! You’re doing fantastic with the story so far!

The way you have showed Leaf's back story and how she developed the habit of stealing is appreciable. And the Leaf training with Red was like icing on the cake 👍👍👍

Red: (sees the Marowak Skull and triggers his PTSD over Pokémon death)
Leaf: (watches as Red abandons stealth for righteous fury and literally punches a dude out while burning dirty money)
Red: (ready to use his training with Surge to the fullest to obliterate the evil Rocket Grunts who take sick pleasure at ruining Pokémon lives)

@@gab5012 there was a storyline but not enough time to go into depth of the characters and the Kanto region. With that Origins special, it had the right idea but not enough time to go all in like what Pedro is doing. This series really gets us to sympathize with characters like Blue and gives us a whole new view of this series as a whole.
@@emilyholasek63 i like thinking that origins is for firered or smth else and this is the original game story since original barely had any except red takes down team rocket becomes champion leaves and completed the dex.

Okay, so first off, I like seeing Leaf's Backstory. I love the little nod to Eugene from HGSS, and the eventual growing friendship between Leaf and Red. I laughed every time she nicked a pokeball or some cash. And I LOVE seeing Red absolutely snap when he realizes what the Rockets are smuggling. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more - you really have made such an incredible series and I can't wait to see more. Take your time, we'll gladly wait!
The "Making of" room was a nice little nod to both your animation and the creation of the game itself. Arceus knows I love all of these little nods and integrations, making it your own while simultaneously retelling the story of R/B/Y in your own unique take of it. It's truly brilliant.

Really liked Green backstory it's a bit similar her backstory in the manga. Anyway I feel Grern going to regret evolving her Pokemon so early as pokemon typically learn better moves before they evolve... But hey She Red to Show her the Ropes.

I feel horrible for not being as disturbed as I probably should have been by the Marowak scene.
This was definitely one of the more in depth episodes and I like that!

Amazing from start to finish. Really love how you incorporated Leaf origin from Pokemon Adventures counterpart, the female Blue/Green (Depends on which localization you preferred.) Man I love that your version of Red's Pikachu actually wanted to evolve but couldn't for dropping the thunderstone lol, which is ironic as Yellow Version it just refused to use it. But man that ending man... Even though most of videoes are short and lack dialogue, you masterful illustrate how well build up to Red snapping and how you illustrate tone even if it's off screen. Truly amazing

When I first saw the title, I was like, NO! Because I didn’t want Red to evolve his Pikachu since I wanted Red to get more attached with him to have that bond that Ash and Pikachu have, but then again. This is a completely different universe to the anime! But I’m glad that he didn’t evolve!
I don't see Red as Ash who doesn''t want Pika to evolve. Red completed the Dex. I'm sure he just kept Pika due to the main character of the franchise

Fantastic job as always. Really like Green's backstory, it's very touching and a nice introduction into the series with Red. Loved the One Piece reference with Green at 1:07 and the 4th wall break at 1:52 and Green stealing Red's money throughout the episode.

It was very interesting to see Green's backstory. I also liked the evolutions stones in action. That punch from Red was very satisfying too (maybe he learnt from Charmeleon, after teaching Mega punch to it).
Can't wait for the next episode. I guess Charmeleon will evolve soon and Red's Eevee will become an Espeon, but only on his journey at Johto

Definitely one of your best episodes so far, arguably top3! The final scene with the Rocket extracting the skull gave me goosebumps. And the backstory of Green! And the usual amount of details! The archipelago! The corruption! It was amazing. I loved how everything falls into place and the fact that a kid has to single-handedly destroy a mafia organization makes much more sense than in the videogames. It was a masterpiece. Congrats!!!

I could see you took a few cues from the manga (Green getting raised by team rocket, her stealing habits, her dresing like a TR Grunt), which makes me wonder wether she had met Silver at some point in this universe.
Like how you portray her personality here XD It just fits her being a troll.
