Doc, I am totally with you on top influencers setting up their own platform. That's what all the taxi drivers working for Uber should do. That's called a platform cooperative where the workers own the platform (software, management, strategy, profits). Not easy to accomplish. There are other examples out there where it's working.
This is such a great move for the community. It created competition where there really was none. If Mixer can swing 4 or 5 more big streamers with influence, Mixer can 100% become a direct rival to Twitch. And Twitch needs that. Which would normally coat $15 a month, EXTRA on top of Xbox live gold. So now literally can play any game on Xbox one for free and play it on PC as well as Xbox one.
MS are winning a lot of favour with PC gamers for their awesome gamer pass thing, so that would be another step in the right direction.

Doc, I am totally with you on top influencers setting up their own platform. That's what all the taxi drivers working for Uber should do. That's called a platform cooperative where the workers own the platform (software, management, strategy, profits). Not easy to accomplish. There are other examples out there where it's working.
This is such a great move for the community. It created competition where there really was none. If Mixer can swing 4 or 5 more big streamers with influence, Mixer can 100% become a direct rival to Twitch. And Twitch needs that. It needs to innovate and roll out features the community has been asking for.
