Correction, on Vanquish you can't select single frequencies. Multi IQ only. Calling it an X-Terra, I would love there to be a Concentric coil option. Nothing wrong with single frequency machines, but you do have to GB, and Multi Freq is always better on wet sand. So my main question is how well does the X-Terra Pro beach mode work??? I think the Equinox 700 is great value, so maybe this is cheaper option for people who have no interest in or will very rarely get to the beach.
No market for this at the price your saying. Vanquish is far cheaper and offers more they should have took the board of the Vanquish 540 and put it in a water proof case and then fixed the stupid ears on Equinox coils and admitted 'oh we messed up' here is a stonger version. But know they keep selling and so does the likes of LP, CMD and Joan Allen etc etc keep selling this not fit for puropose coils.
I used the old x Terra 50 and x Terra 505 before as well. Ok, that x Terra pro is waterproof, which is an Advantage already. But how is about the Performance compared to the old x Terra Models? For example: i found a German WW2 Aluminium Canteen in a depth of 80cm with my 505 ... Will the x Terra pro do this good as well?
I did cancelled my Manticore (in the Netherlands) :-) (now I have a Equinox 600).... Because of the wait I could watch more video's and could not find the big mega advantages of the Manticore... So now I ordered the 900 :-) Hopefully I can't go wrong with the 900? However, somewhat I am pulled by the upcoming V80, can't wait for the review on that one and I hope I will not pull my hairs out while finding out it is good as the equinox 900 :-) Well only time and a good review can tell...Is there a review date on the V80? Kind regards Alex
@@AlexOnbekend no date on the review for the V80, but as soon as I receive it I will let everyone know and start testing. Good luck with the 900, it’s a great machine.
Could you find out about the built-in battery. I would like to see the dealerships the people that sell detectors online if the company is going to sell replaceable rechargeable batteries so the customer can put the batteries in ourselves. I hear it’s very easy to do but what I’ve seen on RUclips nobody really says whether the battery is glued or not. it would be very easy to replace it, I hope the minelab company is going to sell the battery separate so we can all buy a replacement battery when it wears out later on. Nobody has really said how many hours the battery will last before you have to recharge it again.
Was thinking about the T2 this spring. I detect more residential areas with higher EMI issues, so i really don't care for multi. Now I'll think I'll wait a bit for this one. Seems like this xtera pro and Nokta impact have simulaties,,but hear the Impact is a heavy detector to swing. But have seen that the Impact will go deep.
I'm 72 and I swing an Impact.machine is a little heavy but is very well balanced. It is deepest vlf detector I have ever used (bought Impact after a guy in my club brought his to an outing. It blew my safari away in club's test garden) Nokta makro came out with so many detectors in very short time span and Impact only had a short run as premier machine.I've seen them selling for as little as $325.I bought a used pro pack 2 yrs ago for $400 (like new)If you can find one cheap you can't go wrong!....hh...jb
I really like single frequency detector's I've bine using 7.95khz for the longest time. I do want to upgrade but don't want to spend BIG $$$ yet I was thinking of the simplex+ but X - Terra pro seems nice being able to change khz. 👍
Areas with high EMI one can do noise cancel or reduce a little the sensitivity, in trashy areas the separation I think it is better with simultaneous multi frequency detector. Can you do a video comparing a single frequency detector with a simultaneous multi frequency detector to see the advantages of the single frequency?
@@georgef160 I have fields with high EMI and a phone mast where the Equinox 800 was unusable on Multi, the only way to make it useable was to select single frequencies.

well i suppose Minelab are just trying to cover all the bases as regards the single frequency machine...maybe ML have identified a gap in the market, Q i have just recieved my 900 from Joan Allen, all is great with it....but there was only 1 screen protector with the machine...also...I THINK YOU SHOULD ASK THE APROPRIATE PERSON/S... why oh why are minelab supplying customers with headphones that are NOT waterproof..ie ML 80 & the ml 85 ? ? it's madness...i was out today detecting and it kept showering...this happens in this country...A LOT...LOL, Fortunately i have a jacket with an oversized hood so i could protect the headphones, but the ML80's i got with the nox 800...are dead...and as i found out expensive to replace...so i think it's a valid question, all the best, take care, GL&HH Gordon.
over 600£ isnt the nox 600 is slightly cheaper for more , i think its going to be a flop at that price, who is there business adviser😂😂 or they just got money to burn.
There is a place for it. People who want all the bells and whistles of the new Equinox but dont have the money for it. So only one thing has to give, and that is the multi frequency. Unfortunately you have to pay double for the multy IQ. So it makes perfect sense and the rest of us are looking like mugs now. Minelab played a very sly game, by promoting and releasing the more expensive machines first dont you think?!!
They should have given it a higher frequency and lowered the price more . Yes it's possibly cheaper than some Garrett's but why buy that when you can get a legend or equinox that's single or multi ? For just as much or less . Back to the drawing board they need to lower there price on some of these but how could they now people will just buy that. And lose . It
a greedy desperate moved to dominate a market they already have . It's almost unprofessional really . Is this what the Legend and deus as pushed them into
I think the new Terra could be a good move. The old Terra found me tons on the dry beaches. Having the same amount of numbers as the 900 could be good too. I hope the coil is the right size , i prefer 11in. Headphones?? Steel stem ? I hope not. If the stem is the same as the Telenox then it will be used. If i buy a Terra Pro. It has to be at least as good as the Vanquish 540 and Terra 705 . But will it sell when more than the 540 Pro ? It will have a place for people that dont go to the beach and that cannot afford a multi freq machine. I'd love to test one of them on my beaches. Loads of trash and a lot of EMI too. I wonder what it will be like in the Iron ? Loads of Iron nails all over my beaches when conditions are right and that will test anything. Even the Manticore will fail there !! 1 nail every 4 inches for about six feet depth and on an area of 1500 by 70 feet on 1 beach. Though the beaches aren't always in that state.
