This guy is a true Craftsman when it comes to tiling ,where I live only elite companies use complete systems like shcluter kurdi mostly just shower floor or shower wall but not the full floor wall and heated floor systems that's usually more high end homes where I live.
Fantastic job. This has opened my eyes. In HK, only cement and bricks are used in the shower area. No "lightweight foam boards" is ever used, as I've seen. Rather new to me.
I'm going to my first schluter convention this summer my boss told me the other day and I'm super excited,I've done tile a combined 5 months now lol but im learning from an amazing boss so I cant wait to start putting stuff like this into full practice thanks sal :)

Got any tiling videos showing you doing them? Lubomir Klinga are you market blind? "45's and shelves out of tiles, call the 70's?" :-/ huh? What in the hell are you talking about?

Man you have made so easy, but in real life and time are not as simple as you think. Anyway, you the best of Tiles work. Very good job, that job will take me at least 4 to 6 weeks to finish it.
This one is definitely one of my favorites. I like the layout of the bathroom which appears to be a small master bedroom bath. I like the direction you went with this. The uniformity of the tiles, not staggering the seams, the clean lines of the metal trim, and a heated floor. Wow! You knocked this one out of the park Sal.
I'm curious, how involved do you get in the design process with your customers? I'm sure it's not the same every time but in general how much input do you have vs how much would you like to have?
As much as they need, from helping to select the tile, to the final product, or as little as doing what the designer has drawn. Makes no difference as to the extent of the design, I just give them what they want.
Sal you are the man. A master of your craft and an excellent RUclips film maker. Quite a rare combination. I'm a young buck from Minnesota, I'm 37, and have been doing trade work off and on, mostly on, for over ten years now. My tiling experience comes solely from watching RUclips vids. Pretty weak I know. I saw your video why floors fail in my feed and I will watch it tonight, hopefully it'll help me avoid some mistakes. My question to you, my humble request, could you recommend a few videos you have made which you think will help me avoid newbie mistakes as I begin my adventures in tiling? I assume you're time is valuable and you do not need to answer if it's gonna be a pain in the arse finding and linking videos of yours or others you think appropriate. I already subscribed to those nice young fellas you have done collaborations with. If it's not too much trouble my good man otherwise I'm a big boy I can hunt some down on my own. Thanks for what you do I really appreciate the time, effort and pain in the butt producing videos takes and you do it well. You are an inspiration to many of us who are lucky enough to get to see your work come to life in real time, what a great tool youtube can be. This is getting to be much too long, be well Sal. ☺
You are an amazing tile setter. I have done a lot of tile work and saw some tricks that I will add to my tool kit. Those T-Lock spacers are great. I will use them in my next tile job. I watched this to see the shower pan. That is awesome. I will definitely use the flat pan to wall drain. I like large tiles on floor. Thank you for taking the time to post this. I did have to turn off the volume. Maybe some background music would have made it a little better. I cannot believe that anyone could give a thumbs down on this.
I really enjoyed watching this! It's great to see the entire process. Hopefully I will be doing my first this summer. Please make more of these lapse videos!
Sal you are a MASTER of your profession! Dare I say the "Babe Ruth" of tile. Or maybe you'd prefer Big Poppi! Seriously through, what a beautiful, professional job you do. Your customers are very lucky to have such a skilled craftsman on their job! Bravo!
Absolutely beautiful tile job! I use the same system for laying large format tile Anda it works so well. I noticed that you didn't use a cone-shaped profile for the wall to floor tile joint; what is your opinion of them? Schulter makes quite a few types.
Sal, wow! These kinds of jobs require lots and lots of work.....You do some really beautiful work. Kudos to your craftsmanship and dedication to any one particular job. You always make sure that EVERYTHING!! is level. God Bless;.....
I am super jealous how people manage to cut tiles for the niche so perfectly. Those Schluter trims are non-forgiving where a 1/8 gap mistake just doesn't work anymore.
@@SalDiBlasi Right, but I am talking about cutting tiles, especially U and L shapes. Cutting aluminum Schluter isn't too hard as long as we get the right kind of blade for the miter saw. In your vid you didn't even have to cut the tiles you just placed them.
Sal DiBlasi I wasn't trying to sound like a jerk. Question. Do you ever buy from the tile shop? I'm a sales manager there just curious... Also if you ever had questions I could probably help out if need be
Sal, you sure do lay them all with style ! I've watched a few of your videos, now, and each and every one is textbook professionalism. Great work, Sal.
I'm planning a RENO on my master bathroom, and every time I think I have my mind made up about which way to go, I see a video like this one, with a new product and I change my mind again. Great video as always Sal. I can't help but think of Benny Hill whenever I watch your time lapse videos........LOL!!
Greetings from London Sal! I have been following your work for many months now and have to say you are extremely inspiring. I have been off the tools now for the best part of 2 years and had all but given up at 45. But after watching your work am now going to get back in there again and have subsequently bought a run around plus a load of tools. First job starts in the middle of July for a friend of my partner who lives in a very nice terrace house in South London. Her existing bathroom was renovated only 7 years ago and already is leaking water into the downstairs kitchen The grout, in many places, has sunken and the lippage on many of the tiles is 2-3mm. Anyway, keep the vids coming and if you ever come to London pass by sometime for a chinwag!!Cheers Gabor

we always build our showers out of mortar.....styrofoam showers are ok I guess for a do it yourselfer or jack of all trades....it takes years to be an excellent mud guy and pull your walls and ceiling and form your curb and pan....now a days everyone wants the easy way.....real tile setters are getting rare

It's obvious you're highly skilled and knowledgeable in your trade and industry. I really appreciate, and can relate to those who perform high-level installations! I was somewhat curious, though. In a few locations, it looked like you didn't trowel the thin-set, e.g., the bottom tile run on the wall with the notch for the curb, and the top tile run on the longest wall of the shower. Is there a reason for that technique, or is this something that I've missed in my quest to learn about tile setting? Thanks for the videos and the continuing education. Happy Trails..!

the results of the job are very good the process of tiling It's very poor... Don't take me wrong but, if you are more careful you don't have to clean up to much before grouting. And I'm pretty sure you can install those tiles without the level system. That takes double the time to set tiles. Sir, you are a professional. Keep up the good work !
