I've been asked about 12 Volt compressors to use inflating paddle board, air mattress and charging my hot water tank on the top side for showers. Sadly most people have NO IDEA what is the best for the price and powerful enough. As a professional airbrush artist since the 60's ... I have made a portable 12 volt spray make-up for Disney and FOX make-up artist and also for temporary tattoos, with the oldest being 4 years old... I have one in my tear drop. Sparmax makes a single cylinder 12 volt pump ... Iwata makes one, but they are actually made by "Sparmax" Corporation for them and for that extra 100 bucks you get an "Iwata" Sticker .... your choice... The only thing I did for the tattoos and makeup was a foot switch for a tattoo artist.
Thanks for the tour. This is the shape of the camper I want to start building this month. I plan to fiberglass and several coatings of paint. I like the simplicity of your build. The PVC water tank is a great idea. Where did you buy the black aluminum trim around your camper?
It was all bare aluminum that I painted black. You can get most of the right angle trim at home centers or metal suppliers. The two pieces in the front angled roof portion I ordered online, I searched for 135* aluminum
It really wasn’t too bad but it did take a lot longer then I expected. If you have a garage or shop to build inside it definitely makes it easier. I had to build in my driveway so getting anything done in the winter was impossible
Really amazing job, it looks insane. It's very inspiring and I'm thinking about doing a similar build. Could you explain how you mountaind the plywood walls on the squar tube frame? Did you weld some metal brackets on the frame in order to srcrew the plywood in? Thanks :)
how did you do the 45* exterior trim on the front near the solar panel ? That is where I am stuck on my trim, can't find a 45 and didn't want to do 2 flat pieces.
I managed to find a 135* trim piece from a supplier online. I may have been out water industries but if you search 135 degree aluminum trim it should come up for you
The rear door came from challenger door. It was a custom order and ended up being about 400 after shipping. You get to choose the color and door latch style and how much it opens which is nice. They do have some standard none custom sizes too I believe.
@minutemenapparel1539 the main issue with frp panels is they are made for exterior use and don’t have anything to prevent UV from deteriorating them. You could possible coat them with an exterior paint or something
It was actually a custom order from challenger door. You can call them and tell them what size you need and what color etc and they will give you a price. I wasn’t able to find anything prefabbed in that size range
Total is about 1500 but I haven’t weight the tongue. It’s definitely light enough to pick up and move around fairly easily but well balanced so it tows very nicely without any sway
@@nickforster2496 Thanks for that info. I'm planning on building one and wanted to make sure it would be light enough for my wife's CRV to tow since it's rated at 1600 lbs.
these are my problems with mini square drop campers theyre to small for two people to be comfortable the doors are tiny my fiance and myself are both over average height and in our 40's crawling in and out one of those would be so uncomfortable lastly the aero dynamics of those things is that of a brick people never talk about the increased fuel consumption due to wind resistance people only want to talk about how lightweight those campers are im glad i realised all these things before i built one edited:to insert omitted word
you did a great job on your build and showing the mistakes on the exterior finish help others know what to do to avoid that so that is a great benefit
Best one built so far.
Best build I’ve seen so far in this style. Great job!
Thank you!!
Hey bro epic build but want to give you a heads up your side widows are backwards the wind can force water through the seal mid window
Do you have the plans? I’d love to build exact layout. Thank you
Unfortunately I never took the time to make plans, but I do have a very rough sketchup file I used just for the basic frame etc
Starting a teardrop build and Here I am

can you link the website for the custom back galley door? thanks!
Nice trailer build ,
Great trailer design! I’m looking to build the same as yours ! Is there a way you could share the tips or how the process works?

you've done a great job on the trailer congratulations. very good video thank you. anyone looking for where he got the gear look at the description.
Great looking squaredrop! Terrific build!!
I have the same reading lights. If you keep your finger on it, it dims.
Great Design
What are the dimensions height, width, length.
For the license plates. Did you register the trailer as a utility or camper/tv?
Yes I had to take it in to get inspected and licensed
I was wondering what your dimensions are? Looks great

your exterior finish looks really good. did you just sand and painted the plywood? could you elaborate more on how you did it? thanks
I used a pray on bed liner over plywood. I skipped a very important step that I would 100% recommend which is to fiberglass the plywood first.
@@nickforster2496Could you get away with just fiberglassing the seams?
One awesome trailer! Do you mind sharing where you got the rear door from?

@@nickforster2496 thanks man 😁 now i need to find a EU distributor 😀
Due to the queen size bed being a bit too big ,wouldn't a full size bed better, with more room to move around.🤔
We have two dogs so we wanted a larger bed inside we so we could all sleep comfortably
@Nick Forster
Excellent build. Any guess on the cost to build?
I didn’t keep very good track but I would guess with everything including the steel for the frame I’m probably into it about 5k at most
how long is the trailer
What did you use for the walls? FRP Panels?
I sprayed raptor liner over wood. If I did it again I’d maybe use aluminum panels, they are just hard to get.
@@nickforster2496 ah gotcha. I was considering using frp panels but I’ve found ACM panels in stock here in Salt Lake.
@minutemenapparel1539 the main issue with frp panels is they are made for exterior use and don’t have anything to prevent UV from deteriorating them. You could possible coat them with an exterior paint or something
@@nickforster2496 right, was considering using Raptor liner as the coat, since it’s already textured.
What did you use for the trim around the outside edges?
It’s all aluminum angle trim that I painted black
Nice man...similar to my design. Is that galley hatch prefabbed? If so...do you have sizing you can share? Perhaps a link? Thanks

4 tall, 5 wide, and 9 long. Not including the storage box on the front

Do you know the weight?
I believe it’s about 1800
