For example, your playing partner sinks a long putt, gets excited and throws his club up in the air and starts doing a happy dance, and you pick up his putter as a courtesy, forgetting that your club is still on the ground, and then you drive off and someone else grabs your club. Someone would need a bad memory but an older person having a "senior moment" might do this.

    Ironically despite his “meh” review I actually bought one as I was moving around a lot at the time, and I found that basically this wasn’t limiting my golf 😂 It’s also pretty clear that Rick hadn’t read the care instructions at all as to shorten it you should be gently tapping it on concrete or similarly hard material to take back down to regular size.
    It’s definitely marketed as a travel club and a way to stay connected to the game when taking your full set of clubs wouldn’t work. I’m super happy with mine, and actually got me back onto the local range recently. Not as good or nice as a full set but definitely played with worse clubs!

      Something I’ve learned is that, for most sports/hobbies, there’s a middle ground where equipment makes a difference. Beginners don’t know enough to make the differences in equipment matter and pros are good enough to make whatever they get ahold of work well. But that middle group have enough room to improve that the benefits of better equipment make a difference but aren’t good enough so that their game has such little room to make better.

    @frankygib Год назад +1

    Well I managed to pick up one of these in the UK a few months ago and I've played about 6 rounds with it. I have mixed views to be honest. It is a very unforgiving club to use although in fairness I am not a very good golfer and struggle to maintain a 22 handicap. I think this club would be much better in the hands of a good player.
    The face of the club is quite small and unless you hit the ball bang on the sweet spot every time then you are in trouble with it. I kept forgetting to move my grip up and down the club if playing wedges, 7 and 8 irons and this is almost certain to ruin the shot. The best setting is the 5 iron and I found myself playing it a lot. It is fifficult to putt with and with the driver setting right next to the putter setting it was very easy to set it to the wrong one.
    On the plus side, the club is robust and I have confidence that you can put some power into your shots without worrying about breaking it. I bought the club as used and the little plastic wingnut cover was missing. Replacements are very cheap but the mailing costs from the USA are very high so I just carry a small 5/8 ring spanner instead which does the job.
    In summary I would say that the problems I have with the club say more about my standard of play than any defects in the design of the club. It is fantastic to walk jauntily around the course, especially as winter approaches, with the club over my shoulder while I offer less than helpful advice to my playing partners as they drag their trolleys around!!. I think a low handicapper would master the club much quicker than I am and would be able to get maximum performance from it. In the meantime I will persevere with it.

    I've been using the Divnick club for probably 15 years. I carry a driver and a putter with the Divnick. Doesn't do well as a putter or a driver. I do best with the 5,7,9 settings. The great thing about the club is that you can put it in your suitcase when you travel. Plus, I had Divnick make a collapsible putter and a driver. I sent him the club heads for the two. So I can have the three clubs in my suitcase. At the end of the video, it shows him trying to collapse the club. You have the hold the club head and hit the top of the shaft on concrete. It also loosens up and will twist after a few strokes. Collapse the club and expand it again to make sure it's not loose.

I called that Pro and asked him to reconsider...unless he banned all golfers who didn't follow the Rules of Golf. I got him to acknowledge that every amateur probably violates at least one rule on every hole! He relented, and now that customer is enjoying his club, walking the course, maintaining his health, and handing money to the golf course every time he plays. Avid golfers might laugh, but they forget there is a huge demographic of extremely casual golfers who dust their clubs off a couple of times a year and head to a driving range, par 3 course or their own property to whack some balls. I have had one of these for a few years now and traveled all over with it. It goes in your check in luggage and great for a quick nine. Not ideal on par fives but excellent for par threes and executive nines. It is really easy to store in the bag too! I keep it under my car seat and often take it out even though I may have my full set with me. The litter takes some practice but that what hotels are for.

      I was surprised this wasn't the case at first. But then they would also have to make the lie angle adjustable. Then for every adjustment it's no longer one thing set but three. And I'm sure it would be significantly over $200 afterwards.
      But adjustable lie angles on separate individual irons from 3 to 9 would be neat for touching down some distance by gripping down, using a putting stroke to bump and run, ball above or below your feet, and diy lie angle fitting.

We even replaced one that a customer backed over in his car after leaving it leaning against trunk. As an avid golfer myself this product excites me. The idea that you can play a full round of golf with just ONE club is amazing, and it is something I would love to get my hands on. However the price for me is an issue, spending $199/£150(discounted price) is just to steep for a club that can only be used for fun. I think most golfers would agree that this design acts as a novelty rather than a fix for carrying 14 clubs in a heavy bag. At the end of the day the club is illegal and cannot be used in a medal/competition. If the price was lowered drastically then i would most likely purchase the club, but for now its a sad pass😢⛳️🏌️‍♂️
