He hasn't been convicted of any crimes, so he wouldn't be bared yet anyway. Why not bar people who have been charged but not convicted? Simple, a politically mischievous attorney general could charge Biden, for example, with any crime he didn't commit just before the election to remove him as president unilaterally. That system could easily turn into chaos as the most liberal, and most conservative states use their judicial powers wage lawfare against the opposing political party.
Fundamentally the system trusts the electorate to evaluate the past of the presidential candidates. If a person has publicly known crimes/accusations but is elected anyway, its an indicator that the people find it not disqualifying. The exception to this is the 14th amendment aimed as keeping confederates out of government following the civil war, since they would be popular in the south but anti-union.

Just because your political opponents who campaigned on prosecuting you decide to indict you on sham charges doesn't mean you're guilty. It's the same thing that happened in Italy to Silvio Berlusconi who had to endure judicial persecution for almost 30 years and yet was never found guilty of anything (other than a very minor tax fraud charge) because all the accusations thrown at him were simply not true and politically motivated.

At the 2:20 timestamp Nikki Haley very clearly demonstrates that she lacks the intellect that would enable her to competently preside over the office of the President of the United States when she erroneously states that we, the United States, have a national debt when absolutely nothing could be further from the truth. The fact of the matter is that we do NOT actually have a national debt, but instead we only have a pretend national debt which, of course, also means that our federal deficit is totally irrelevant, as far as the amount whereas exactly what we the peoples' electronically generated $s are being spent on is the real issue.
I'm talking about Nikki Haley's inability to grasp deficit spending and or quantitative easing (QE) or my more appropriate nomenclature which is Equity Spending (ES) that serves to fully illustrate the process of electronically generating we the peoples' $s in order to meet federal expenditures when there are insufficient funds available from our defunct federal tax revenue system that will never, cannot ever, never ever be revived. Furthermore, Ms. Haley, of course, fails to understand the crux of the Equity Spending reality/process which crux is that even though we the peoples' electronically generated ES, if you will, $s spend exactly the same as we the peoples' forty-hour workweek paycheck $s, it is nonetheless impossible to actually borrow or payback, for that matter, we the peoples' electronically generated ES $s because these ES $s are in fact, we the peoples' electronically generated ES $s, and YES, it is all just that simple, as far as "The Big Picture" is concerned.
Then too, there is the fact that President Trump often promotes this same erroneous 'national debt misinformation' with the great big difference between him and Haley being that he knows better, but Nikki Haley doesn't. This is to say that Trump is aware that when this QE/ES reality is finally revealed to we the people it will result in the world being turned upside down for an extended period of time which public disclosure is desperately being avoided.
