- Our family's experience during TC Yasa. The preparations, the storm, and the damage around the Seaqaqa area. We survived and got our of the storm much more fortunate than a lot of people around Fiji. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
God bless your beautiful family mate.
That’s the real Fiji living you’re experiencing.
Yes it sure is! Hard to believe this happens often!

Good documentary and God bless you and the villagers ....but i see a lot of smiling faces and laughter despite the many difficult situation on the ground ...keep smiling and be happy guys
Our pleasure! Yes people are always smiling here
Hey brother vinaka vakalevu for posting your video. We didn't get much wind here in Suva even though we prepared but from this side was very fortunate the sad part other were not so. Glad for your village that all are safe, thank you for showing the Fijian spirit 💪 and laughter is part of what get things moving when the chips are down, we've all been there. Loloma levu to your family and your village ❤🇫🇯 and God Bless taciqu.

My niece and her husband work with Sea Mercy. I know they are getting ready to send boats out to the island today I believe. Hopefully they can help!
Vinaka My Tau for this video which gives us how much you went through during the cyclone. Glad you are safe with your families.
Thanks bro!
Came across your channel while searching for videos on TC Yasa. Really love your content. Went back and watched all your vlogs. I am now up-to-date and looking forward to your weekly upates. Crazy hearing that Canadian accent with fijian slangs!

Yes not as bad in our village, my grandmas village only have 3 homes left standing.
This island is suffering, but Fijians are resilient and strong!
@@jonathanbati9839 what village is that J bati?
You did well! I know only too well the havoc cyclones can wreak..and how much there is to do in the aftermath. Thank you for the video. Loloma yani from Spain to Macuata, Cakaudrove and the rest of the Northern District.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for sharing your experience. My in-laws are in Savusavu, like yourselves experienced abut of damage. The livestock of sheep and cows were safe. Just experienced a few broken widows
Thanks for joining along!

Thank you for the videos Guys!. The smiles and laughs ! Fiji ! ❤
Thanks for joining!
Thank you for the great footage, John. Wonderful that your village is safe. The look on your face when you walked out of the house in the early morning light conveyed your shock! I so appreciate your videos, watching from Sydney Aust. When I left Fiji many years ago I left my heart behind. Scouring the Fiji news channels on youtube these past several days for cyclone reporting but nothing close to what you have given us. I’ve been praying constantly the past week for the safety of the people of Fiji. So thankful that the damage was not as great as had been anticipated. And wonderful to see international aid pouring in. Ironic that the countries that are providing aid are on the other hand aiding and abetting global warming. God bless you all. Lolomas, Donna.
Thanks for your update on "the day after" Waka family..great to knw you're all safe. praying about families and relatives in my beloved home, Fiji.
We tried to get this one out as fast as possible. Not a fancy vlog but just to the point
Thank u watching from usa looks very bad god bless all
Bula My heart goes out to you all during this terrible time. As if you haven't had to battle enough with covid 19 and now Yasa. I love Fiji and have my second home away from home at Fiji palms in Pacific Harbour, Viti Levu. I lived in Fiji for 2 years back in 1959 to 1960 and I am proud to be a Suva Boys Grammar Old Boy. I wish I could come and help with the cleanup but that is not possible at present. Love you all - Moce. Ian Langley Auckland NZ
Thank you so much! Yes it is so terrible to see this beautiful country suffer! We took a drive yesterday and along with all the damage its so oddly brown from all the leafs being stripped away. However this country is strong and already starting to do its best to recover!

A massive vina'a va'a levu Waka family for the TC Yasa vlog. Amazing footage of being in the eye of a cyclone. Great to hear you guys and the village survived relatively unscathed. The vlog has given me and my family abroad some sense of what our extended families in Bua would have sustained. As of now, we're still not able to contact them, we're hoping and praying they're all ok. Two cyclones in a year would cause havoc with the fruiting season of trees like 'uto'/breadfuit, avocado, coconuts etc. Hope the village garden/'were' isn't too badly damaged either.
Take care, God bless and moce mada. 🙏🏽

Not only did that not sound and look like a cat 5 storm .... ~ 68 knot wind gusts said it wasn't ... having said that not a pleasant experience for children and elderly to go through for sure and there's always the cleanup and the sense of devastation of plant life would be palpable.
