Only one I can't agree on is the Chi'king sandwich. The Spicy one is absolutely the best fast food chicken sandwich on the market. Fast food fish sandwiches tend to look and taste like the fish sandwiches you get in a typical school cafeteria (most likely made with the same levels of apathy and despair). The best fish sandwiches can only be had from a roadside seafood shack.
Cooked in a converted 55 gal. oil drum...used of course. I was in Mississippi, at one of those roadside stands. Chicken, Fish, Crawdads, Gator, and Rattlesnake. I asked which was less gamey and chewy, (Gator or Snake) and they said, "stick with the fish". Under their breath, I'm sure they said, "damned yankee".
@Venus Truth! Had gator for the first time on a roadtrip after making a pit-stop at some seafood joint off the side of the highway. I was taken aback by how good it is! Considered it a crime for living in florida for over 20 years now and never having given it a shot until then haha

the one I had was pretty darn good! Of course, I asked for extra mayo and no pickles because it's just a weird preference of mine. But the fish isn't just breading! It's actually a nice sandwich.
The location closest to us, sometimes they don't even have food to serve until their truck arrives. Unbelievably bad operations, and as a result, I don't bother anymore, even though their chicken sandwich is top tier. It's as if the chains nails the taste, at least for the most part (though the fish looks like a flop). But from an operations standpoint, there's something amiss with this chain.
Honestly, Arbys fish sandwich is the BEST fish sandwich I have ever tasted!! That includes regular restaurant offerings as well. It beats out the fancy seafood resturants even!!
@@angelalosole5846 Yes absolutely! If people live in the Midwest or have a Culver’s near them, fish sandwiches are great. I love their Atlantic Cod sandwich.
I love fish sandwiches, don't see why anyone wouldn't. Hardee's used to make a GREAT fish sandwich, but the offerings from fast food places are pretty sad these days.
People associate cheap seafood with something that tastes fishy and gross. Fast food being the cheapest option means it has the highest potential of being fishy and gross. Realistically it’s a piece of bland white fish that tastes no different than most fish fry fridays you would get at any local bar around any large body of water,
I think the issue with fish sandwiches is the fact that everyone is biased to cod as a cheap option. The fish just isn't flavourful enough for a sandwich to be enjoyable to some. I think if they used non-reconstructed meat and a nice fish like haddock it would be infinitely better.
I like this Popeye's fish sandwich. It's great for Lent Fridays . I enjoyed the breading on it. I like extra sauce and pickles . Jack in the Box has a decent double fish sandwich too

With a mild fish the bread to meat ratio and not overwhelming the fish with sauce is critical. Culvers has a great fish patty, but then they put it on a huge hoagie bun that completely overwhelms the mild fish flavor.
Culver's fish sandwich-- Cod or their seasonal Walleye-- is my single favorite fast food item. Period. But you're absolutely correct about the bun. They should have a bigger filet that matches the steeper price.
I chant it religiously during the whole review, which I watch in the nude sitting on a bare concrete floor in a room that has been sealed with duct tape to omit all natural light.
I liked Arby's Fish Sandwich but haven't had one years. When I was hooked in them it was cod. I believe its pollock now and I guess that's why I haven't had one recently. That and now I tend to be craving the french dip or just a plain old roast beef sandwich when I decide to head there.
It's a shame because this is so easy to make. Seriously, a couple beer-battered Gorton's fish tenders in an air fryer for 9 minutes, a good bun lightly toasted and pickles and sauce of your choice. Heck... add a slice of havarti cheese for extra zest. There's no reason to use Popeyes for this when you can make the same thing or better for 1/10 the price and time.

I tried this sandwich twice because the first time there was barely any fish so I thought maybe it's like the chicken sandwiches where it's lopsided sometimes. Went a second time, same deal. Barely any fish in the sandwich, it's all breading. To this day, the only fish sandwich that never disappoints me is the Filet-o-Fish. Reading the comments, seems like I need to try the Arby's one. Other than McD, the only other one I used to like was Jack in the Box's "Catch of the Day" fish sandwich, which I loved then it disappeared. Now they have another fish sandwich and it sucks. You can't even get Jack sauce anymore either and the employees who weren't around in those days think you're a creep/perv when you ask for Jack sauce.
Give the Arby's one a try, I've found them pretty good, and the tartar sauce is decent. The filet o fish has gotten priced out of wanting, especially when it's hardly the size of one of their basic hamburgers. If it was 2 for $4 or something sure, but $5.50, nope.
As a previous fast food worker and someone who has grandparents, I am wholly convinced the entire fast food fish sandwhich audience is propped up by the elderly.
I don't do McDonald's very often. But if I do I usually get the Filet of Fish. I went through a few weeks ago , got the fish but had them double the fish pattie. OMG it was amazing. The best I've ever had, yes it cost more but so so worth it, what a treat!
I had this the other day, the regular one, and it was one of the better meals I've had from them. There's a decent amount of flounder. I did put extra mayo and no pickles for mine, as pickles intimidate me. But if you have cats, I recommend keeping an eye on your food.
I remember I had one about a year ago (the original tartar sauce version) and was surprised at how much I liked it so I bought frozen aisle fried fish for the first time in years on my next grocery trip, tried a couple of brands and none of them lived up to the sandwich.
I fell off my seat during the intro anticipating the fish sandwich 🥪. Unfortunately I broke my elbow doing it 🤣. Great reviewbrah review !! I love the electric guitar 🎸 on the bag hahaha....
I tried it last week and the first bite was delicious. A couple bites in and it tasted like a fish cake, as opposed to an actual fish filet. Then I got disgusted and tossed the final half of it.
I really like the Arby's fish sandwich. Had one for the first time the other day. The shredded cabbage on it, the fish patty was pretty good and the bun. It was actually really good which was surprising considering it's Arby's. You should check it out my man.
My heart broke a little when you pointed at a Trumpet/Cornet and called it a Tuba. Other then that, another great review from the man the myth the legend himself.
Perhaps King Review-Brah's initial enthusiasm for the "spicy" fish was immeasurable.. as he also pointed to a saxophone 🎷 and called it an electric 🎸 guitar. 😄

As a Catholic, I LOVE fish sandwiches! Catholics traditionally abstain from meats like beef, pork, and chicken on Fridays and certain other days like Ash Wednesday; leaving fish for us. Most fast food places only offer fish sandwiches due to the decrease in sales on Fridays and to appeal to a Catholic audience.
I was raised Catholic. In 1958 I was sent to a parochial school. At six years of age, I was told by a priest, along with other six year olds, that if I inadvertently ate meat on a Friday and didn't immediately spit it out upon realization of this, that I would be committing a terrible sin and could be risking my immortal soul to eternal damnation. They told this to six year olds. They were Nazis in collars and habits.

Reviewbrah! I would love for you to please try the Spicy Fish Sandwich from Arby’s that they’re featuring this year. To me it tastes awesome and it’s a really neat spicy twist on the fish sandwich that I quite enjoy. Get it before it’s gone! Love your videos!
They should just have the original fish sandwich BUT offer you a choice of tarter sauce or cocktail sauce (normally ketchup and horseradish sauce mixed together). Many seafood places offer those two when ordering seafood.
I think I know why we always come back to watch Reviewbrah....In an era of obscenities and an overall change in modern culture for better or worse, Reviewbrah is very well mannered, respectful, clear and concise, as well as being completely honest, dresses and presents his physical self very well, is generally cheerful and optimistic, and has a refined sense of humor that carries his videos. No craziness. A refined man with refined taste in food that makes for the best food reviews on RUclips. Yes, all this is apart of his character that he presents for his audience on here, but I do believe in reality the real man off camera carries these wonderful traits as well. We need more people like Reviewbrah this day and age!
Another precise review that no one can really disagree with. For April Fools, I'd love to see the Brah go to an expensive restaurant, get take-out of elite items like caviar or filet mignon or something, return home, put on a ball cap, cargo shorts, and a t-shirt and do an otherwise serious review.
In 2013 McDonalds released the fish mcbites for lent season. I am not a big fish fast food guy but people forget that they’re literally fish sticks and who didn’t like those growing up. So the fish mcbites were little fish stick bites and had a little holder for the tarter sauce. I’m dying for that to come back.
Interesting. 1 of the only times I’ve disagreed with reviewbrah. I liked the spicy flounder sandwich from Popeyes. Not as good as their chicken sandwich but certainly worth it to me.
This is the second person who got a filet on here like that. Sandwich must vary by location. (Some people got fish sticks I hear lol) The one I got was a thick asss piece of fish, not including the breading was like .5 inch thick. and dwarfed the bun in circumference. Sauce was applied lightly. Ate pickles on the side, dont like em on Sandwiches 8/10 but ymmv, apparently.
My favourite part is when he freezes for thumbnels. And when he did that flip out 'V' which literally stand for the bird. I'm from India and we don't have many of these foodchains, i still love to watch him. He is adorable.
👑 This is no ordinary Fish sandwich. This is a fish sandwich with pickles, seasoning and wait for ittt. Spicy sauce 💣 🤯 😱 Popeyes stock is at an all-time high. All hail the Fish Sandwich 🐠 🥪 😂
Mr Brah, I'm presently 1:24 into this video, and looking forward to what you have to say about the Popeye's fish sandwich. I really really like the McDonald's fish fillet. It's my favorite thing that they sell. The double fish fillet is my jam. I don't typically even enjoy eating fish. I'll make an exception for sushi, but as far as cooked fish goes, I usually avoid it. I've had this love for the McDonald's fish fillet for a couple of years now. I had some liver issues, and my doctor told me I needed to eat more fish. So here we are. I even went into a Long John silver's a few months ago. I thought I would rekindle some of my childhood love of going to Long John silver's and eating the crunchy things, and soaking everything in malt vinegar. It was disgusting. I'm not even sure if what I ate was fish or chicken. Never going back ever again. Currently in the market for a new fish sandwich, I guess. Anyways, just wanted to give you some feedback, that there are some of us out here who really enjoy the fish sandwich.
Oh, man, you're awesome. I don't eat fish sandwiches, would never eat that stuff, but your presentation kept my attention and at times kept me in stitches. 🤣🤣🤣😁
I have to say sir you are amazing, and thank you for all you do. i happen to be one of the off ones that loves me some fast food fish sandwich! means alot to us fish lovers that you put yourself out for us. you are truly a gentleman.

If it was 2 for $4 or something sure, but $5.50, nope.
lmaoooo at jack sauce
As a previous fast food worker and someone who has grandparents, I am wholly convinced the entire fast food fish sandwhich audience is propped up by the elderly.
Hello from the Jewish community.
Hello from the 30s community. I love fish sandwiches.
Hello from the Christian community observing Lent.
fish sandwiches are super popular in the south especially in Louisiana
Catholic zoomer here, incorrect. I consume the fish sandwich
Thank you, I thought as much, they should stick to Chicken. McDonald's Filet O Fish is best to me. That SOFT warm bread is killer.
I grew up on the 70s Filet O Fish and that was the greatest fish sandwich ever !! BANGER Review Brah !!
Yes !
Indeed !
I don't do McDonald's very often. But if I do I usually get the Filet of Fish. I went through a few weeks ago , got the fish but had them double the fish pattie. OMG it was amazing. The best I've ever had, yes it cost more but so so worth it, what a treat!
I love shrimp sandwiches so I’m a little excited for this
*Casually roasts a wide range of fast food menus in less than a minute*
Never change ReviewBrah.
I had this the other day, the regular one, and it was one of the better meals I've had from them. There's a decent amount of flounder.
I did put extra mayo and no pickles for mine, as pickles intimidate me.
But if you have cats, I recommend keeping an eye on your food.
I know what you're saying. I have once been robbed by Pickles. Are you from Brighton, as well?
As someone who’s dating a pescatarian I always get hyped af for fish sandwich season. Especially Popeyes fish sandwich drops.
wendys fish sandwich is fire veryyyy crispy
Reviewbrah makes my days better. I hope he knows that he Is a gem, in a world full of not-so-good people.
The king is back with another classic review.
I remember I had one about a year ago (the original tartar sauce version) and was surprised at how much I liked it so I bought frozen aisle fried fish for the first time in years on my next grocery trip, tried a couple of brands and none of them lived up to the sandwich.
I am on a quest to find a frozen brand that I can cook up in my air fryer that is as good as this one also.
I don't know if Popeyes has the best fish sandwich but I know that Review Brah has the best content
ReviewBrah is the most wholesome part of my typically sordid day. He is the yang to my yin. Love you, Brah!!!
I fell off my seat during the intro anticipating the fish sandwich 🥪. Unfortunately I broke my elbow doing it 🤣. Great reviewbrah review !! I love the electric guitar 🎸 on the bag hahaha....
Who here remember Burger Kings fish sandwich back in the 80's called the "Whaler"?
I tried it last week and the first bite was delicious. A couple bites in and it tasted like a fish cake, as opposed to an actual fish filet. Then I got disgusted and tossed the final half of it.
Thanks for checking in with your fish story, we all appreciate it.
I thought it was a flugelhorn. My disappointment is nominal.
Perhaps King Review-Brah's initial enthusiasm for the "spicy" fish was immeasurable.. as he also pointed to a saxophone 🎷 and called it an electric 🎸 guitar.
😄
He also called a saxophone a guitar. It was just a joke.
He was totally joking.
Culver's' Cod Sandwich is off the charts delicious!
Brings me joy everytime i watch you. Smart and class personality. Love it!!
TheReportOfTheWeek is evidence that one doesn't always need pointless upgrades to the channel and reworkings to be a successful RUclipsr. Sure the camera and microphone quality improved, but the production has always been just Reviewbrah and his friendly, classy, and humble personality! No LEDs, no theme music, no multi-angles, and no studios.
Arby's Fish Sandwich is the only Fast Food Fish Sandwich that I love.
It drives me nuts thinking about how cold the food must be by the time he FINALLY starts eating!
About to go to Popeyes for lunch today….however my go-to is the chicken tenders with ranch 👍🏻
Chicken Express Tenders with Gravy boi
The Popeyes in my area is already inedible. If ReviewBrah doesn't like this, no way I'm getting it from my local Popeye's.
I’m a pescatarian so yes I get excited for more fish sandwiches:)
@@jltrem Nazis? It sounds like they were just looking out for your soul, man
@@thecatholicbananaduck1232 Luckily I wasn't ever taken by the associate pastor, Father Shmidt, on one of his special "camping trips", like other boys were. Guess what he was looking out for?
@@jltrem Assuming that this actually did happen, does one man doing something horrible mean that nothing is true?
@@thecatholicbananaduck1232 Interesting that your first response is to question my honesty. Not surprising. By the way "one man doing something horrible"? Please. There have been thousands and thousands of documented cases of child sexual abuse and cover up by the Catholic hierarchy globally.
I will definitely give this a try. The original was pretty good but I never ordered it again.
sorta like long john silvers cheap and low effort
I thoroughly enjoyed your examination of the bag exterior and it's drawings...
Yes,I look forward to Wendy's fish sandwich.
The best fast food fish sandwich I have had is the North Atlantic Cod Sandwich from Culver's. You should review that one.
I still think McDonalds makes the best fast food fish sandwich.
I disagree. I love seafood, hate fast food, and I have very particular hard to please taste. And I love the Popeye’s fish sandwich.
@@zacharyholzworth7442 Fair enough
In 2013 McDonalds released the fish mcbites for lent season. I am not a big fish fast food guy but people forget that they’re literally fish sticks and who didn’t like those growing up. So the fish mcbites were little fish stick bites and had a little holder for the tarter sauce. I’m dying for that to come back.
I've been wanting to try flounder for years...💯✔ One day, I will achieve it...👌🏼
Yes I’m excited for them. I need one every Friday during lent. There are some pretty good ones fast food wise. I will be giving this one a try!
Interesting. 1 of the only times I’ve disagreed with reviewbrah. I liked the spicy flounder sandwich from Popeyes. Not as good as their chicken sandwich but certainly worth it to me.
I think Arby's spicy deluxe fish sandwich is the BEST fast food fish sandwich that's out right now. It blows Popeyes fish sandwich away.
I think it’s more of a “fish-like substance” sandwich
Hand's down. Culver's has the best fish sandwich. The walleye fish sandwich(seasonal).
This makes me curious as to what the lowest rating he's ever given a food item is.
This is the second person who got a filet on here like that. Sandwich must vary by location. (Some people got fish sticks I hear lol)
The one I got was a thick asss piece of fish, not including the breading was like .5 inch thick. and dwarfed the bun in circumference. Sauce was applied lightly. Ate pickles on the side, dont like em on Sandwiches 8/10 but ymmv, apparently.
I love fish sandwiches. So far Popeyes is my favorite followed by Arby’s.
The only time I ever had fish sandwiches was back during my school years although it was a bit bland.
I like McDonald’s fish sandwich 🤡
@@misterjayway 🤣🤣
My favourite part is when he freezes for thumbnels. And when he did that flip out 'V' which literally stand for the bird.
I'm from India and we don't have many of these foodchains, i still love to watch him. He is adorable.
Review actually starts at 8:40
I support you reviewbrah! Keep going!
👑 This is no ordinary Fish sandwich. This is a fish sandwich with pickles, seasoning and wait for ittt. Spicy sauce 💣 🤯 😱
Popeyes stock is at an all-time high. All hail the Fish Sandwich 🐠 🥪 😂
Can’t forget that brioche bun 😅
Forreal! That fish patty is 2x the size of the Mc toenails one

I had that fish sandwich, it's delicious! Taste like a fresh, gourmet fish that you would have in a pricey restaurant.
Really? I’ll give it a try
My family loves them. We garnish them with a thick slice of tomato, pepper Jack cheese, and mayonnaise. Turns it into an excellent sandwich.
The Man, The Myth, the original review himself… ReviewBrah
Me: That's a saxophone
Reviewbrah: That's an electric guitar
Me: That's an electric guitar
No way it's better than the filet-o-fish
A lemon butter cream sauce would be nice. Maybe a kick of spice into the batter for the breading at that level would be good.
Wendy’s fish sandwich is one of the greatest things on this earth! Edit: Wendy’s changed their fish sandwich and is lame now.
