  • This is how you clean an air conditioner!
    We were called to a new customers home because of a noisy furnace blower motor. However, after fixing the noise, Jordan recommended a cleaning of their air conditioner in order to better get through the summer!
    You can see why! This poor air conditioner was unable to breathe and function properly with so much dirt and debris.
    Jordan washes the outdoor unit and gets it working like new again. This dirty air conditioner had not been cleaned in 5 years! Getting a regular cleaning and maintenance done on your air conditioner is the best way to keep it running longer and at a higher efficiency.

    I did this to our unit the other day. The coil was caked with fuzz and debris. It had to have made a huge improvement, I'm sure. Do it!

    Many people don't know that the condenser needs to be periodically cleaned. People using leaf blowers and pushing dirt into it doesn't help matters.

    3 years late but I reckon if they installed some sort of board at a 45 degree angle above the unit to try and drive air away from the house so it doesn't heat up the house, they'd probably gain a couple degrees as the hot air won't be recirculating nearly as much back into the unit
    Simple, straight to the point video! Great stuff!

    With the debris caked on that thick, I think using a wet dry vac with a brush attachment would be a good idea. Doing this will completely remove the debris from the area. Then hose it down. By only hosing it down, all the debris is now at the bottom all around the unit. Once the debris dries, it’ll get sucked right back in again. This HVAC technician does more than most. 👍

      Sure. If you want to run the risk of bending over the cooling fins.
      Thoroughly reccomend against this.
      As you see in the video, simply spraying it off IS the correct method.

      So many people suggesting incorrect methods of cleaning their fins even AFTER watching the professional perform the task the correct way.
      I just don't get it.
      Either way, thank you. After owning a Garrett for 15 years and easily accessing the fins, this Amana we now have at a different location was... tricky. The video made access much easier. That and I didn't realize the previous owner had removed the inner fan shroud.

      Why do you ask? He wasn’t spraying on the exposed wires, and that’s literally all that matters at that point. You know, it does rain outside, and the unit stays outside during inclement weather… as does the house.. sooo a little water and dirt won’t hurt

      It lives outside, it's going to get dirty so fast cleaning it with soap is a waste. In your car, do you get your cabin filter replaced every oil change? Because cleaning with soap is that level of stupid.

    • @Methodical2
      @Methodical2 Месяц назад

      @@leonelsway He did not push water into coil. He sprayed from the side and move the dirt off the coils. But since he had the unit open, he should've done both.
