They did the same thing to me with my 34 weeker and told me the fluid was just increased discharge due to Braxton hicks. Lol had. Bloody show a few hours later... 🎉😮 this time I had x2 nuance, 35 weeks with pre-eclampsia and they had to use vacuum due to baby being too far up transverse. 🎉😮😂 ❤

I took my nclex today and my last question made me so nervous! My scenario was a preterm labor pt 35/36 weeks with PROM the question said
“which prescribed intervention would the nurse question” the choices were
    1. Hourly Vaginal examination
    2. Hourly temperature check
    3. Iv Penicillin
    4. Iv oxytocin
I chose hourly vaginal examinations because it didn’t say using sterile technique. However since the client wasn’t full term I’m not sure if I should’ve chose Iv Oxytocin since that induces labor 🥴😭

I think number 1 would be the correct answer because of the risk of infection if we were to do hourly vaginal checks. IV oxytocin would be a great concern if the gestational age was much earlier, but since the baby is close to 39 weeks, its not that much of a concern - at least compared to the infection risk.
