I'm a fan of rock and metal... there are so many song i cried with them, so many songs which i loved and listened hundreds of times... but this kind of music goes straight to my soul to my mind. Ofcource you can find these atmospheres in many rock songs too, but not this pure ....This is behind the beauty and feeling. This is beyond humanity and soul and superstitious. This music brings me to ancient valley of creation... i see myself, hovering in the air and floating in space ... an eternity with tranquility all around me, and I feel so beautiful. I remember nothing, no pain, no memories... just peace and a divine numb .
I am a Rock/Metal Fan, too. But I´m a fan of atmospheric music, too. I like going to the Spa and what else could be better than listening to this kind of music just to get relaxed. I never thought about having to decide between this two worlds. Why shouold I ? Ying and Yang. Beeing wild when doing Rock´n Roll and coming down when doing Relaxation.
I like both worlds and I´m not thinking about to miss anything of them

I picture myself in this scene. It is cold and not cold at the same time. A feeling of comfort - not just in my own mind but in the atmosphere. No longer burdened by meaningless questions, debates, conflicts or pursuits. Driven by a higher sense of purpose. Alone but not lonely. No more insatiable longing. In the midst of a dream but I'm not asleep. My eyes lift to contemplate the stars - among which I belong.
That's called divorce. That's why I'm listening.

I embrace being alone.. I find it more comforting than almost anything else. I’ve got a family and a fiancée yet I seek out a dark quiet place to rejuvenate. Embrace it!
try living whole life being rejected due to ugliness, with not a single person ever being interested in you, then you can talk about being alone..
I’d say it’d probably b more accurate to word it as such….not only for you, but for anyone that thinks solitude is tolerable or even to go as far as enjoyable. “We are, by our very nature, a social species. We were not born alone and chances are u will not die alone either. From the day u were born, until the day u die…u have been surrounded by people. Perhaps a wall between u and someone. But none the less u were surrounded. Even if they offer no comfort or reassurance. U are aware of there existence. That alone plays a very strong role in the underlying social construct of our so-called isolated existence. They are there, I am here. I can’t see them they can’t see me. But we know we are feet from eachother. Believe it or not, that is very comforting and reassuring wether u kno it or not. I doubt u will ever experience true and lasting isolation. If u were to b granted such an experience for say one week. I doubt u would come out the same person. It’s a shattering realization to learn that out entire existence of daily life wether at work or play, from our routines and hobbies to our chores and tasks. All of wich cause our paths to cross with countless others that u feel u can do with or without. After that one week where it’s all removed and u are truly and utterly alone with ur thoughts. OMG….jyst prepare urself. All I can say.
Long story short. I think u enjoy small amounts of time in an empty room in ur crowded house in wich u can reflect on the days interaction with others who’s paths u cross. Knowing and finding comfort in knowing ur loved ones are only a few feet away

I've honestly had dreams akin to this idea and it's such a comforting experience. Everything is just gone and by yourself you get to just breathe freely and be present. I'm really digging the concept of being an explorer out in that vast expanse of seemingly infinite space. One lone lifeform plodding away for a lifetime to observe, explore, and experience. Intense, in a good and comforting way.

For me it was what I did during those times of loneliness. Self destruction for a while... but then I realized that - being alone - I could use that isolation, the "outside the circle," to -- do -- to be productive.... being alone gives you a unique mindset, and though (believe me I know it is hard) - what can you do apart from the masses? Apart from the crowd?

Introversion is talked about often nowadays. My view of introversion (being an introvert myself) is that it is only good if we return to the world happier and with greater purpose or commitment to that purpose than before. If we return worse then we have to go back to solitude to figure out why. 😌
