Often the Base we have on topics does stem from our Intellect and History. Also there is a saying that History likes to repeat itself, in our opinion that saying is often proven so we base our reasoning on that. So far its working well for us, hopefully we dont make simmilar mistakes which caused the decline of PLC.
I'm a Canadian with Polish roots. Two years ago i started touring all over Poland to learn more about the culture and my family. One thing i can definitely say, It's a beautiful country with Proud hardworking people who stand up for their beliefs and country. Over a month ago, i moved to Poland 🇵🇱
How was it moving to Poland (in terms of finding work or a place to live)?
I’m a Canadian with a dual citizenship and am considering moving there as well.
@davidtrojanowski1861 ...The transition from Canada to Poland was fairly easy in terms of Visa..Poland has a lot of job opportunities at the moment. Can't guarantee since they had an election yesterday, what the future holds. What field are you in?
As to renting, there are many houses and flats to rent, but with Poland helping out Ukraine with women and kids, the prices have gone up in some areas in the bigger cities. But, there is still good deals around. The inflation rate has been slowly going down, so food and things are getting cheaper. With the Canadian dollar being over 3.00 to 3.50 to the Zloty, it definitely helps out on buying things.
How is Internet there?? 😊
@garydownes1594 ..I'm in Warsaw, and it's super fast.

I just got back to Poland from Tasmania and will try to stay here for good .Thanks Guys for video :)
I have impression that is growing on me more and more, that Poland is not just about a country and people but about a way of tackling the issue of globalization and European identity. We can embrace globalization and have the benefits or try to be ourselves and pay the price. Surprisingly the second option is getting more attractive the more we learn about the consequences of the first one. Great discussion, cheers.
But the whole success of Poland is thanks to the choice of the first option.
I believe that the discussion was about the definition of success and why the first option did not really work in Poland. Globalization is more than just open market and free flow of capital. Poland so far avoided becoming an international porridge without texture and taste. @@2mek99
To a certain extent. It was stopped in the rest of Europe by the illegal invasion of undocumented 3rd world. The result is mass grooming of children, female circumcision and forced marriage. Ritual slaughter too, all brought in by foreigners of a certain religion Poland should guard its borders and guard them well.
100% it's about free Europe free World no opression no slavery for anyone. Btw word Slave comes from the word Slav or Slav'e from the first Salvic slaves enslaved by the roman empire back in the days... how else would they get blond hair and green eyes down south of Europe. Secondary Poland once again has to save Europe from inside and outside enemies. We've fought Mongols invading Europe, Ottomans, Tired at least with Nazis and Commies, Were the first country to abolish communism...Didn't let the illegal imigrants fleed into the country so that everyone can feel safe... Yet We still get no recognition for what we've done. Maybe one day tho.
When you come to Poland ,you feel very safe.Fantastic country...The nation's bright future

Thank you for this video about Poland 🙂
We are always happy to hear such kind words about our country, as we rather always see it in rather dark colours and complain a lot.
But the most important thing is that we are developing (maybe not as well and as fast as we would like), but you can see from the feedback from foreigners that we have made a lot of progress after all. Some even say that they live better here than in their own countries. This gives us great satisfaction and strength for further development.
And has got the best jazz musicians in the world
Great stuff Guy, definitely agree Gdańsk has become amazing, but Warsaw is the city in Europe not just Poland that has developed the most in the last 30 years. Skrzywdzić is an interesting Polish word but my favourite is kieliszek. Bests, Stefan
I know it's a side track but ad vocem to the Ghetto video, could you consider creating an bio-vid about Jan Karski or Witold Pilecki? I feel as if their heroic stories are unknown to some ppl. Basically they've made their life mission to inform the world about the atrocities conducted by the Germans.
The Hollywood movies don't fully portray those crimes as they were far worse in real life. I had some filmmaking / acting experience and I swear it's about time to accurately represent Polish bravery and German's cruelty.
My whole family was affected by WWII. I had a Jewish uncle who was a Holocaust survivor and lost his mother during a Nazi raid when he was only 14. We have to keep the memory about it alive no matter how painful it may seem. Also; equally important is the story of Irena Sendler and Julian Grobelny.
We have an analogous situation as in 1939. Then the voices of common sense calling for not entering into an alliance with England and maintaining neutrality were drowned out by propaganda clangor and straining not their muscles to Germany. After 5 days, this whole horde of clowns fled abroad along with their valuables and "honor"
We have done many videos on the subject of Pilecki. Check out back catalogue
@@thefirstnews9019 The legend of Pilecki in Poland is a strictly political issue because it has been "stolen" by the ruling, extreme authoritarian right as a tool to suppress democratic opposition. Knowing Pilecki's life and views, it is not certain that he would have been happy about it had he lived. Besides, had he lived, he might have had a hard life watching the ruling right-wing falsify recent history and the contributions of living living heroes of independence headed by Lech Walesa, or, for example, the living Warsaw Uprising fighters who now dare not quite share the authoritarian-fundamentalist views of the ruling bloc.

Great interview!!
The Labour party says the reason Poland is projected to overtake the UK is because of Brexit, But this is false, because the Polish economy has been out performing the UK and most western countries for the past 30 years, it's obvious that most Labour party voters who make this false claim about brexit are just finding out about Poland's success and aren't willing to reflect and come to terms of accepting their own faults. Poland was the only country to avoid the 2008 financial recession and was the top economic performer in the EU Post-COVID. So, sorry, but voting for the labor party isn't gonna change anything. Also, the Labour party governed from 1964 to 1970 and 1974 to 1979. In 2007, Labor party leader James Gordon Brown served as Prime Ministe from 2007 to 2010, this was during Poland's rise to power. But Poland also deserves this success no matter if the English and Irish are willing to accept it or not.

As a Pole I must say I never heard about Mr Pinsent before watching this video, but a lot of respect for learning some of the most important parts of Polish History. I would be intrested to learn a bit more of how deep his knowladge of it is.
Poland is a great place to live when you have money. The majority of the upper middle class people that I have met do not use public transport or the national health system and they certainly wouldn’t send their kids to the state-run schools. So there is definitely a bias, though it’s true that nature in Poland is spectacular and easily reachable even if you live in the big city.
Take also this into concideration.. Soviets and Nazis killed all intelligent people in Poland literally every high status, high position, nobel and political. I don't think any other country in the entire world would have survived what poles have over the past 200 years.... That was their plan to get rid of most intelligent people and dumb down the nation. Since 1989 After We've abolished the communism... our gov. didn't change still corrupted still robbing poles and still playing for Germany and Russia. One example... During communism all the way to 1989 in Poland our Black Coal was ''exported'' literally got stolen by trains full with millions of tons with that crucial fuel... After the abolishment of the communism since 1989 to 2014 the new ''non communistic'' gov. started to buy our Black Coal from russia which was previously stolen! from us.... How in the world do you explain that.... We got more agents living and actively working against Poland that We'd already skyrocket if not all these obstackles... The true groth started 2014/15 After We've kicked out the former prime minister who was a double agent playing for russia and germany..... Now Poland almost as independent as in the 17th century. We will get there eventually and only then the Europe will be safe place again!
I want to migrate to Poland.
you dont
It’s time to visit.
Cheers.

Good video, one thing about judiciary - it's not true that young lawyers who did not get into law firms then become judges, you choose your legal career route after you graduate, so you either decide to be an advocate/solicitor or a judge (not saying it's ideal, but that's how it works in Poland), but I agree that the Polish legal system is miles away from the British one, lots to be done in this department.
I really don't get it. At one hand everyone globaly says that we need to exchange our elites from old gramps to youthfull ones , but on the other hand once such thing happens people start crying about youths being unexperienced.
Old elites bad , young elites also bad .
And yet Britishers complain about their legal system and judges.
Poland tries to reform that old corrupt judicial system, but European Union controlled by lefties and polish opposition is supporting the ostatus quo and not allowing any changes. This is main disagreement between Poland and EU. EU is cutting the financial transfers based on that. EU is very corrupt, those politicians take bribes from lobbysts to decide about other countries, GB exprienced that and exited EU.

The only problem in Poland is taxation on contract of employment from 30k usd is around 41 - 45%, This would need to be changed to Czechs model that the rate of 32%(which should be lower like 23% in Czech Rep.) is starting from 30x monthly average salary which is at this moment 60k usd. This would give a lot of stability to Poles because right now we are paying more and more taxes and living in the city is already difficult. The next thing would be solve real estate issue. Poland should force cities to better planning and developing suburbs and disadvantage AirBnB stuff in the city centers. This might be easily achievable by the rule that the income tax is given to the city only from people who own real estate in this city, if the person is not owning real estate then money are going to the government and are redistributed. This would encourage cities to free lands for constructions and remove growing number of landlords in city centers.

Why Poland is so succesful -
Pros -
1. Homogenous people (Catholicism) - Good approach to work. Most children in Plonad behave well than london Children.
2. Low Tax - inspite of low tax, Poland GDP is growing.
3. Cost of living is lower thank any other cities.
4. Zeor tolerance illigal immigrants - Polish Govt has zero tolerance for illegal immigrants. Poland took more than million of Unkrainians immigrants.
Cons-
1. Air points - Burning coal or any toxic things in the winter must be banned and monitored by Govt.
2. Court system - Judges are young and unable to give justice fast. Timeline for justice could be faster.
3. Most of the big Industries are foreing own.

Being a foreigner in Poland gets you dates with Polish women easily especially if you're a Brit and especially if you make an effort to learn the language a bit although many speak English nowadays. Poland still has a lot to change and improve but I think we have made a huge progress since fall of communism. Some things have gone down the toilet also but I think the country is on the growth sprout. I'd like to see a greater chunk of my nation to be better educated (many are) especially on capitalism, more tolerant and open-minded as well as more sophisticated and knowledgable about the world. @@g.peters244 Wartości bezwzględne nie mają znaczenia. O możliwości spłaty decyduje wielkość gospodarki a konkretnie stosunek PKB do zadłużenia.
I think Uk is boring and grey actually :) if I have to be honest. Plus is most of the year cold and rainy! :)
Chuj w plecy takim ludziom XD
My experience in Poland included encountering instances of racism, as well as observing streets that were not always as clean as expected...Additionally, I noticed elderly individuals using wheeled baskets, which, at times, gave the impression of a population facing economic hardships.
I got same feelings living in UK.
@@piotrkulpa8034 It's important to acknowledge that these are personal observations. I don't believe a direct comparison between the UK and Poland is valid. The UK is known for its sophistication, diversity, and global outlook, while Poland is still navigating its path in the world of democracy, facing challenges, particularly due to its government's promotion of extreme right-wing propaganda. Although both countries have anti-racism laws on the books, Poland's enforcement of these laws is notably lacking, particularly in cases involving homophobic and racial activities. Consequently, if you don't identify as Caucasian or heterosexual, visiting Poland may not be the safest choice, and you may find more success elsewhere.
@@Laughing.Waters. The fact that you are richer and your relations with the world are more complex does not make you better, and certainly not than Poles. Anyone who has come close to British "sophistication", social system, interpersonal relations, leftist ideology that destroys family and society / such relations social conditions that are currently prevailing in Britain, we know in Poland from the times of communism - this is how human cattle lived in Russia - from this perspective "Russian Mir" is identical with Western modernism / and the economic system would not want to import it to Poland for anything. I'm curious what circles you move in that describe Poland and polish people as cold and gray. That's usually the description of the english in Poland 😂
