    My map knowledge is still very poor on Gaikhara (especially after the recent change) so this vid helps a lot

    Hey, I just wanna say this is a really cool video in terms of explaining maps. I'm finding it really hard to find info or advice for daybreak maps and your video laid them out in a very cool and digestable way. Would their be a chance of you making videos breaking down other daybreak maps? Either way, thank you, it's a very charming video.

      been thinking of making a video on how to run loops on each map. maybe stuff other than loops will come in the future tho

      I know you might be sarcastically saying that but just in case you or anyone actually believed gavin can shoot on first person now, I'll make some nerdy explanation:
      No, that clip isn't showing gavin shooting in first person (but i wish it was an actual feature), nowords only just zooms in as far as possible to aim better, and the fact gavin goes invisible whenever he holds his gun in his point of view helps any user aim and noword's technique to aim

    2:47 I also played ptb a lot, and actually disagree with this, I think the original boat gen you showed was worse. On the left boat, regardless of whether you vaulted or not, you'd get trapped, but with the right one, as long as you don't let the killer bait you, you can easily make it back to the middle. The vault only works in killer's favour if they manage to mind game it or are playing someone like showstopper, and it's actually quite easy to avoid the mind game imo. Sure, it's still incredibly unsafe, but at least escape is feasible. It's also closer to the center loops than the other one. On the left one there's also 2 ways the killer can come, and it's pretty hard to see them come from one of the directions, whereas the boat only has one way.
    tldr: ofc it's just an opinion, but I disagree that the original right one is less safe than the original left, I think the left one was less safe because regardless of your mind game you will go down. Only way you avoid getting down is if you both have high speed, high stamina, and they're coming FROM the center.

      i can see what you mean, but to be able to make it away safely using that vault, you have to vault really late, and even then the killer will often be able to double back and cut you off.
      especially since when you vault, you have to take a right to make it onto the plank leading off the boat, which is walking into the direction of the killer.
      i can only see it working if the killer misses a lunge or decides to vault along with you, but they can just keep attempting a mind game until either you vault, or you play it risky enough to the point where they can just lunge and kill you.
      the first boat gen allowed you to get away if you run as soon as you spot the killer, and although it would put you in an bad position with low stamina, you can atleast try to make it to a loop or something

      @@nowordsbruh It's probably just us having different experiences, but I've never gone down at the vault, I only vault when they lunge forward, and there's always enough space that the majority of characters won't have a fast enough lunge to reach you (duration doesn't matter for that loop since it's still quite close). It's mostly a problem if they instantly lunge because you may not have enough time to react, but the majority of killers try to just bait by walking a tiny bit forward, and if baits don't work, they go further forward than the baits, as soon as you seem them go more than 2 steps forward they're usually committing from what I've seen.
      tldr: From my experience, if you only vault once you see the lunge, you make the vault and can get to center about 70% of the time I'd say.
      Ofc not saying you're necessarily wrong or anything, if people get caught there in your games then that's valid, but for my games it's just far enough away to not matter, not so much a matter of right or wrong obviously, I just wanted to share my experiences!
