I have only ordered a couple of tools online , one of them was a vintage snap on ratchet i never use. I prefer stores or trucks warranty seems to not be a problem when you talk to a person face to face. Love your content justin 👍👍👍
I bought a box of chocolates and UPS delivered to the wrong address. The street name is Wedgewood but they delivered it to Woodedge. We filed a claim with UPS (we said the package was never delivered). UPS paid for a new box of chocolates. Because of the claim, UPS now requires a signature for delivery. They will not leave it at the door. Last December I got a bunch of Xmas packages incorrectly sent to me. I brought them over to Woodedge and the guy was surprised. He then confessed to eating the box of chocolates.
Call Amazon. I think you said you ordered from there. They will send you a replacement since UPS delivered to the wrong address to begin with. I had a similar situation and that is how Amazon handled it. I have read though that if that happens a few times Amazon will suspend your account even though it should be on the carrier.
I feel that any hand tool I'm considering to buy, I'd rather check it out and see it in person at a store or on the tool truck, after being in the trade for a while you realize kits in blow molded cases can be re-branded and you can get the original cheaper off Amazon, I haven't ordered these tools online yet, but definetly considering it, Cheers Justin
First off, I am jealous of your GearWrench Rep he sounds awesome! Second...damn man I'm sorry about your neighbor. Having people around like that that you can't trust really can be hard to deal with, especially when its your home.
Grey Pneumatic, warranty void if bought on Amazon.I know a parts plus salesman that told a customer that bought Grey Pneumatic on Amazon, won't warranty them
It's rare with snap on I know there is quite a few products but matco is the worst offender by far every thing is rebranded either lisle or ir all rebrands even in the same box
Always get the insurance on the package. Had same situation with a neighbor. Once I explained how much new tires cost he magically found my package on his table...
Man you should check out capri tool just bough a hex bit socket set and a torx set and there awesome the woman i emailed said she could 2 day ship me tools if i was to have issues not same day but not bad
Put a blink camera out at your front door. They are wireless and battery powered so you dont have to run any wires. They work pretty good and are cheap.
I have one. Some places overseas don't deliver to PO Box's. That's the only down side that I have had, but you are correct. It's a better option for sure. Cheers Brother Bear!
Anything I order online I have shipped to my place of employment. Granted, I manage the business I work at, but, when it comes to my employees, I allow them to use the address. That way they can sign for it and not worry about it sitting out
I had bad issues with this in the previous town I lived in, I had an entire Dewalt 20v set stolen. Now I require signature on every package it is a hassle but I’m never losing a tool ever again to that BS
Get a insurance or ask for signature required wen delivered, if they don't have your signature for receiving the package they have to send you a another trust me i know for fact
I live in new mexico now there are people here that follow ups around all day steeling packages that get dropped off its crazy people go around doing those kinds of things but what I do is have someone stay at my house and collect the package for me or just have them pull the package from the truck and go pick it up from the ups store it goes to
Shipper fed up and needs to make it right. You can have stuff shipped to work. Snapon has been a pain in the ass getting stuff replaced but I don’t have a rep.
IF YOU ORDER ANYTHING, I RECOMMEND, IF YOU CAN, HAVE THEM SHIPPED TO YOUR WORK, DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THIEVES THAT WAY, MAIL THEFT RUNS BIG UP HERE IN ALASKA, SO I STARTED HAVING EVERYTHING I ORDER SENT TO MY PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT, NO MISSED OR LOST PACKAGES ANYMORE
I bought some box end wrenchs on ebay and was so disappointed when i got them. They were so thin and cheap looking. Turns out they have been a life saver where the thicker wrenches wont fit.
Have some Tekton tools and broke an impact socket after hammering away on it with an impact for probably far too long. Upon contacting Tekton they asked for a picture of how the tool failed and a picture of the name on the socket then I received a tracking number for the replacement socket the following day. It was likely after their business hours when I replied with the pictures. Got the socket in the mail later the same week.
justin any time you get a chance to buy Stanley tools the warranty on them are great had a allen socket break called them and like 4 days later i had a new one in my mail box they was super happy to replace it and said sorry like 6 times about it breaking
I know this isn't a tool but I had a friend buy a pair of $250 component car speakers online that were stolen he called the company that he ordered them from and they sent him another pair I don't know if any of the tool companies would do that or even Amazon or eBay would but you can also require a signature or have it dropped off at you're local UPS or FedEx office. In the small town I live in we have a storage rental place that offers a place to have you're package drop off and they will hold them until you can pick them up. I buy my tools where ever I can get the best price and ease of warranty I am not sure about Husky or Kobalt online purchases if you can return to the store but I would imagine you could.
That shit right there is F"ed up you can't trust your DAM neighbor but. It is what it is guys if a tool works it works some tools break some don't I don't give a shit were you get it just don't go into debt on your 1st time starting out save MONEY 1ST DONT GET TOOL TRUCK BRAIN WASHED
DEFINITELY get in contact with Amazon. They are pretty damn forgiving, i had someone order 3 ipads with my credit card (fraudulent charges) and for some reason the idiot that did it had them sent to my house. When they showed up i told Amazon what happened, they said we'll refund your card all of the charges, keep one and send the other 2 back and sent me a return label lol.
Love buying tools online for home use but we have a secured building so if my packages go missing it’s a 1/11 chance I will know who took it. So far after 3 years only 1 package has gone missing and it was $10 windshield washer nozzles
So here’s my first thought. I grab my 1/2 drive cordless impact gun and a rail of sockets and go next door and start taking everyone’s car apart. Oil plug, control arms, wheels, and that’s basically without a jack. If the Daytona is coming over then pretty much the lower half of the motors are coming down. You seem like a neighbor I’d like to have and I don’t tolerate people stealing my shit. Of course this is just my opinion.
I buy from wherever i save money and if no tool guy i mail it to the maker amd wait till it get mailed to my work since i know its going to be safe at my work. Something to think about. Get your tools mailed to your work
Screw that my neighbors all know, trespassers will be shot on site and thieves get buried in the back 40... That really sucks Im glad people know better than to come on my porch. I leave tools computers even cash on my porch, let someone try to steal that it's only target practice...I've got the ammo to waste.
I always say do your due diligence and find the best value for your money when it comes to tools yes two trucks are nice because I can help you with payments but that can also lead to other problems and itself so I say do your research and find the best tools for the best value in the best price and the best quality because no matter what tool brand you get stuff's going to break yes snap-on and matco and Cornwell all those companies tools are nice and they're high-quality but you also going to pay for that quality to and sometimes it's overpriced so there's my two cents on the topic
the shipper wrote the wrong address down. So it's really up to the sender and UPS at this point. I'm going to file a missing package request. I'm sure that I'll be reimbursed, but it's still frustrating.
I bought about $600 worth of Craftsman tools UPS was the shipper . About a week later I got a great big empty box no refund no nothing that was about 2012 I've been with snap-on since and know what I'm getting been extremely happy
Nobody wants to help you because they already got your money. What you do is go to the credit card company you purchase the item with and say you never received the item you're not paying for it. And boom the money goes back in your account and amazon and ups can give each other hjs in the bushes.

Yeah Amazon got on my local post office one time and they actually got the post office to apologize for losing a package which blew me away.

It's not a bad way to buy tool's by any means so long as you can trust your neighbor. Cheers Brother save you some money! Hopefully! Cheers!

I know right? Freakin guy.

Been pretty lucky with Amazon. The worst was an item went to the next town over. I got an instant reimbursement from them so all was well.
Grey Pneumatic, warranty void if bought on Amazon.I know a parts plus salesman that told a customer that bought Grey Pneumatic on Amazon, won't warranty them
good to know.
Be careful with Snap-On. Sometimes their stuff is just common junk that they have rebranded.
It's rare with snap on I know there is quite a few products but matco is the worst offender by far every thing is rebranded either lisle or ir all rebrands even in the same box

You should get stuff sent to your work, especially if it's expensive.

You need a PO box.
I have one. Some places overseas don't deliver to PO Box's. That's the only down side that I have had, but you are correct. It's a better option for sure. Cheers Brother Bear!
THE BEAR. Love both your channels. Glad two of my favorites watch each other

I ship everything to my work cuz im there more than home. Open 7 days and it won't get ripped off by co-workers and boss doesn't mind.
Good idea.

Home Depot didn't even put my Ridgid starter battery combo in a box. Could have been taken by anyone.

Send your packages to work! That’s what I do, way easier and somebody you hopefully trust always around

Have it delivered to your work. Most places only deliver to businesses during the week and it’s guaranteed somebody will be there
I buy from wherever i save money and if no tool guy i mail it to the maker amd wait till it get mailed to my work since i know its going to be safe at my work. Something to think about. Get your tools mailed to your work
Love your videos, stopped me from buying a box from snap on, Matco or Mac !
Thanks Brother! Hope you ended up finding something that works for you. Cheers!
Dude thanks! Keep up the good work. Like your videos!
I have everything shipped to work so it's delivered to my hands, directly.
Get a ring door bell camera I have one it’s awesome
not a bad idea. Thanks for the advice. Cheers!
Screw that my neighbors all know, trespassers will be shot on site and thieves get buried in the back 40... That really sucks Im glad people know better than to come on my porch. UPS delivered it the wrong house it's there problem let them fix it
My boss let's me ship tools I ordered online to be shipped to the shop so I don't have to worry about someone stealing my packages.
Do a charge back on your card if Amazon does not cover it.
Just get a fake security camera for your front door so no one will snatch your items. Or a real one but fake is cheaper.
That's why i buy my stuff local. Can't trust anyone.
But love my snap on tools
I like stores you see what you get it.
buy brick and mortar or tool truck you normally have customer service.
online you are on your own
Get a front door camera.
They are cheap.
Google one.
Cheers!
Sup the crackhead up. Put a box out that blows up in his face with a purple dye when he opens it
I feel for ya man better man than me would have made his ass pay one way or another but assault charges wouldnt be very fun
sucks about your neighbor bro. Isnt UPS responsible for dropping off the package at the wrong house?
the shipper wrote the wrong address down. So it's really up to the sender and UPS at this point. I'm going to file a missing package request. I'm sure that I'll be reimbursed, but it's still frustrating.
