Hey, wire harness designer here, you might want to change the tape you used on the underhood zone to a Coroplast 835X or something similar, you used vynil tape, that's the lowest class for abrasion resistance and heat resistance.
That was big luck finding hiden fuse box and headlight worked emidiatly so you turned that mess of wire hirnes into properly repaird and functional .Thanks for making givaway international, wish you the best luck with this and upcoming car builds .
My husband is such a Audi Fanatic. Specifically the b5. He’s tore them apart and rebuilt so many of them in the last few years. We’ve been having so much fun watching you’re videos. The way his face lit up after seeing your video of the car starting was absolutely priceless. Thank you!
Bro you managed to make a “flooded” Audi r8 work, opened the door to one that was electronically locked or whatever, you’ve done what seems like the impossible and made it happen and work, you’ll get through this harness in no time
Good job fixing the Rs7 . One tip as a Audi tech . you should used black fabric tape instead of regular black electric tape on that wiring harness with heat of engine bay that stuff melts and gets all gummy it sucks to wrap wiring loom .
@BackYardBoyz I knew from the first day the wire harness needed to be fixed , it never needed a replacement. Same as the bonnet, rather than replace, it can also be neatly panel beated and welded or glued neatly. The car is such a machine ❤
Love how resilient you are, never give up💪🏼💪🏼, the fact that you only drained a little under 2 quarts of oil out the engine was a little worrying for me, hope all is well with that engine.
good job, but it is worth improving the cable bundles with a tape that will not rub, e.g. tesa tape 51608. insulating tape is not made for this and a fire may occur.
Yes Tim. BYB strikes again. Phenomenal progress and performance. You made our day uploading this awesome content. Engine sounded incredible. U.K. can’t get enough of your channel. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I’ve fixed main harnesses like this before, just stagger the solder joints in sections. Takes a dumb amount of time but it works. Edit, later in the vid you did solder just didn’t stagger. Good job.
I think you should upgrade to matrix headlights, would be really educational and helpful for people that want the same thing, and the car would look much better. 🙏🏼
This is the like 70 times I'm feeling happy watching you live my dream. I'm an up-and-coming mechanic and I take most of my inspiration from your videos and builds. Great work and ill be bigger than you when my time comes #BackYardBoyz
Now you know that fixing ripped out wiring us just about being patient and methodical. Why do manufacturers hide fuse boxes in inaccessible places . Engine sounds great
Instagram suspended my account. I hope to get it back asap. I would never jeopardize my business I built for 4 years on a giveaway I made no money on. Thx for understanding
SLAVA UKRAINE! Wish you goodluck with future projects, Subscribed to your Instagram, hopefully the winner can enjoy this beauty :D Happy to see that you are finally able to hear the engine working. What are the odds that you saw that Audi at copart and now you found the parts that you need :)
Hell yeah dude. Great work again. I always had to call my buddy Jon for wiring, I don’t have the patience😂 Can’t wait to see this beast up for some lucky sub to win. 🤙🤙
bro i love these series man nowadays i only see these electric cars driving around and to see how a car is rebuild and how you troubleshoot these problems i can't imagine the feeling driving this thing after reparing it bro. keep it up fr!
The feeling when that headlight didn't work must've been brutal, lol. I can only imagine. Having to solder all of those wires just to have to second-guess everything you did 😂
It's like audi hate people who would tried to fix those cars....its like...nope.....you crashed it you buy it again and nobody would be allowed to drived that car again......
😆- I lived in Seattle & the Eastside from the late 80's until late 2020. I just inherited two A8L's; one being a D2 and the other is a D4. The D4 got damaged on the FR corner, cracking the headlight lens. The headlight from Audi? $4001+ tax. Used? $2k. Luckily, I found new lenses for $360. This car does have the RS7 turbos, a mid-range tune, larger heat exchanger & downpipes. It's very understated, but pretty quick
I like the new format of your videos, and I have to say, love the RS7! Enjoying every one of your videos (huge big up for the Nissan GTR though). Take care 🙏 Greets from France 🇫🇷
Tim, when i think about what you managed to do in your past builds, especially the EPIC RS5 rebuild, this is a piece of Cake compared to this. But still a Stunning build nevertheless.
Dawg rs6/7 c7s have a limited number of launches per gearbox. If you dont engage it properly you can actually destroy the transmission by putting all that torque trough the converter. Beautiful rebuild keep it up🎉
WILL THE HARNESS WORK? 😳
Hard work pays off 😊👍
As lil john would say.... Iyyyeahhhhh

Electrical is never fun but when it comes out nice it’s definitely satisfying

I’ve fixed main harnesses like this before, just stagger the solder joints in sections. Takes a dumb amount of time but it works. Edit, later in the vid you did solder just didn’t stagger. Good job.

if those heat shrinks dont have that weather proofing glue in them, wires will corrode
Bro really finessed everyone on IG and lied about the giveaway. Wtf
Instagram suspended my account. I hope to get it back asap. I would never jeopardize my business I built for 4 years on a giveaway I made no money on. Thx for understanding

Amazing work awesome build. I just love watching this rebuild.
Great Job 👏, I have the same bussines in Mexico 🇲🇽,
Best Regards
When you're looking for parts lots of VAG components are interchangable, look at the part number not the marque ie:8W1234 not Audi/Porsche etc
Brutal engine sound!
Subscribed here and ig! Love the videos glad to support!
I like the new format of your videos, and I have to say, love the RS7!
