Lol. It's still shit.
It's perfect Evan, don't need to listen to him. He isn't even subbed to you. love your vids Evan :)
Your body work is improving Evan. If you want to learn to paint with a spray gun I can show you
@@basementbanter366 stfu dude... he's doing a perfect job

It came out very good
Evan Shanks looks beautiful can’t wait to see the body work finished. 💯❤️
Your going to be busy alright😂😂👪
looks really good, only thing I would suggest looking into is 3M panel bond
Evan Dude from a couple years ago youre doing great now. For a pretty quick molding job it looks really good too. Cant wait to see some nice tuck on those fenders
My dude worked on his wedding anniversary to provide us with content.13/10 youtuber
AND still made time for his anniversary!
Evan is really a gold mine here on RUclips always so humble
people like this deserves a million subs unlike arseholes like TJ & The Throtl Guys
@@connoisseuroftigolbitts Can't agree with what your saying about the throtl guys. Cuz they're professional at what they do and they giveaway pretty much more than 5 cars every year.
This thing is gonna look fire when it’s done
Chandler Powell Roll Tide brother
I can't wait to see the r33 all finished it's gonna be gorgeous
Bro I'm hyped to see every build on it's full glory 😍😍
Along with the daily advice at the end, it’ll be cool if fans can give daily advice too! We can share experiences and lessons we learn, and you could choose one to share at the end of each video. Thought it was a cool idea
Here s one for all the shank fans...
Lose your fears so you dont lose oportunities
My favorite youtuber keep up the good content Evan! LOVE FROM BULGARIA

I use metal reinforced bondo as a base and finish it off with regular bondo. The metal reinforced is a lot stronger and doesn’t crack easily
Js S metal reinforced bondo is meant for metal bonding and metalwork... it won’t stick to fiberglass very well at all
Matt L I’ve used it a bunch of times and it works great. It only used for a base to build up from the metal to the fiberglass and then regular bondo on top. I’ve never had an issue with it bonding and I have a integra that I did 16 years ago that hasn’t cracked nor separated
Yeah he should definelty use a stronger fibreglass or metal filler rather than typical filler which should be used for fixing light scuffs or small dents
I'm honestly impressed by how your evo is still alive
Yo Evan I’m currently going through a breakup... but ur vids do a great job delivering positive energy :D edit: holy shiiiieeeetttt that looks good
Etienne u too?😞 dude the man above is doin everything he can to stop me from moving on. Sucks man
been going through that for 2 months, still feels the same. but i wish you luck brother
@@jakob31448 lookup "How to fix a broken heart | Guy Winch" on youtube. It's a 12 minute TED talk. It's fantastic and might just give you some new views on things.
myusernameisthisduh thanks man, really appreciate the help.

YEEESSSS,another video!!Has to be the only YTer I am really excited about!Alongside Chrisfix!!!
I’ve been going through a lot with my grandma and stuff but watching your videos and your daily advice helps soo much it’s unreal. Thank you
You really help me every time you post a video and are very helpful all the time and I just really love watching your videos because if somebody is having a hard time you allways give advice to people having a hard time.
for any sanding you may have to do in the future, WET THE FLOOR. if you want to really control it, put some plastic up! worked in a body shop for a few years and just couple things i picked up.
Evan thank you for being you. You and Victoria are the biggest inspiration. You have helped me get through the tough times and the days I didn’t want to smile, I watched your vids and it makes me smile. So thank you Evan and Victoria you two are amazing.
Evan I just wanted to say that I found your channel probably later then a lot of the OG's here, but I never knew you went through some of the stuff you commented about towards the end of your video, until this video. So I just wanted to comment and let you know that I too dealt with a drug addiction and am coming up on 3 years sober, and I thank God everyday that I was given a second chance, your story and my story are so similar, although I'm not making bank off youtube as I'm not as active as you are, BUT nonetheless, I wanted to share my story with you as well. I dealt with a lot of depression and am still dealing with depression. I just recently launched a couple of video's talking about that, but life goes on, and no matter how good or bad of a day you're having, always remember to stay positive and just say thank you to someone, or tell someone how much you appreciate them. Great video, always love your videos, and your inspirational speeches at the end. But keep going and pursuing your dreams and goals and good luck with everything. Congrats on your 2 years of marriage; and I hope you and Vic are loving life.
You said all that needs to be said. It’s YOUR build, YOUR own work put into it. Everyone else can suck it. Love it dude.
He should get actual r33 gtr tail lights it would look soo good. U did a good job on the Bondo bro👌🏽👌🏽
Haven’t seen the evo in a minute almost forgot you had it haha.
The advice at every video always gets my spirits up
I broke my thumb clicking on this
Thats fucked up
Musthafa Mohammed i pun intended
Musthafa Mohammed
Totally worth it for Evan’s video
That 100th order is free deal, is so sick bro. Keep it up with the genius marketing
The little words of wisdom at the end of the videos are much appreciated. Your videos actually inspire me to not give up on trying to build my own cars.
This car is going to look SO good when done
Looking good! I also do body work and just want to mention that it is always smart to use a panel bond when moulding on kits. I am a litttttllleeee worried that over time, the kit will want to flex with the body and seperate from the bondo. Love you!
Yup sanding and shaping bodo is satisfying
Damn bro! 8:34 your wife deserves “The Wife of the Year Award” she’s always helping you do scar stuff, even if is very minimal stuff! Good thing you put a ring out it
I like the lil stash Evan, and that body kit was lookin' hella THICC. Great job.
Losing my job today and Hearing your advice gets me back up on my feet thanks Evan
Ngl out of all the car RUclips channels yours is the one I honestly get super pumped to see. Top quality videos keep it up. You are stellar
That last shot you took in the light made the body lines pop really well
Bodywork is what created my love for cars. Cool to see how you appreciate how much work it is and what you can get from it.
From my few months of body work I did on cars (cause a friend of mines dad offered to teach me over the summer and I did it a little longer after) I worked on a really old Ford falcon I think and some old Buick and it was so much fun I loved the very long process of sanding and re bondoing then sanding again and making the body lines super clean and look as stock as possible it looked beautiful at the end
So, i ran into Evan yesterday and I've never been a big car guy, like yah I love cars but i don't know them like he does, now I just want to learn everything abt cars, bro this shit is lit.
this build is coming along really nice!!
After the 1500 grit sanding the door to the body Panel looks so smooth. Looks really good
How excited Victoria gets for you is goals
Not going to lie the advice from this video got me in my feelings. Been subbed for less than 6 months, but dude do you put in work. Happy anniversary to you and your wife and keep it up. Sub from fort worth!
I love your videos, and how you can just jump into these projects and build them to the best of your abilities with pride. Most of the time on your own in your garage with little help. It's so encouraging. I'm glad your almost at 600k but these new subscribers need to chill with the harsh comments!
This is why I’m subscribed to you bro you motivate me so much ! GOD BLESS U BRO Keep them Car Vlogs Coming 💯
HAPPY 2 YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY EVAN! Your body work is getting very very good, next time though before you prime the parts you’ve done to the bondo/body work get some Wax and grease and wipe it down it gets the gunk out of the body work and bondo. Once you do that you may actually find pinholes and the primer will fill! Just a helpful tip to the paint coming out a bit better but you did a tremendous job on them!
Im so excited to see this car painted Evan!
Before you lay basecoat, use a more coarse grit sandpaper so the paint sticks to the panel better. More like 600 grit sand paper is my personal preference before laying basecoat, 400 for primer.
Stoked to see how this car looks when it’s finished! Keep it up man
You can also do wet sanding on the last part. It actually smooth out holes that you don't see and fills it as well as smoothing it out good luck 👍
Just found your channel yesterday and subscribed... Been through addiction and 41 now almost three years clean and second year in college to become a drug counselor.. never thought I would make it through it... Wake up happy everyday though. This opiate addiction going on right now is out of hand my mission is to get these young kids off the shit!
Don’t want to hurt your feelings about the car Evan, it looks amazing and you’re doing a fantastic job and I dream about having a car like that. I just want to see a car like that preserved and pretty forever. Keep up the good work, your videos have made life so much better.
Literally can’t wait to see the finished product!
Looks great man!!! Nothing like an shanks build !!
Been watching since the STI and your experience keeps getting better. Keep up the great work Evan!
Evan we love ya Bro you’ve inspired me a lot this past year
Dude that looks BADASS. From watching your channel back when you blew your motor in the lexus to now, you have came so far dawg. Congratulations seriously
the message from the end of the video really touched me today man, i was needing to listen it, thank you for making my day better (sorry for the crap english, i'm from brazil)
Can’t wait!!!! To see this one color and finished up gonna look 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Mad respect to see you do your own work!
For finishing the primer, spray a bit of guide coat, and wet sand with about 1500 or 2000. Once dry take a microfiber and feel the body where you want flat, instead of your bare hand. Easier to feel bumps and imperfections with a microfiber inbetween your hands. Looks good tho for sure, keep it up
Your progress is amazing this looks so good!
You did a great job and the fact that your learning as you go and you can smile and be happy with your work shows the best! Keep up the good work! And happy anniversary
Glad to see you use a guide coat...it really helps. Didn’t see you do that to the wrx
His car always turns out to be good at the end. Excited to see the r33 done
So glad this kit got molded on. Good job
Love you bro! And love the honesty as well as the end of the video advice
That car is going to look so damn good. I’ve turned wrenches for my whole life and haven’t tackled body work but seeing you being able to pick it up so quickly makes me feel more confident in being able to do the much needed work on my car. Btw COME TOTHE CHICAGO INDIANA AREA.
Molded fenders look so much better than bolted on ones. Hell yeah man it looks awesome
U should put that bondo on the line where that trunk and the fender meets and grind it down so it looks like it’s one whole piece and it will also look clean in my opinion
Body work isn't to bad, I've been doing body work for a very long time. Body/door gaps are difficult but don't be affraid to sand the bondo off and start again if your not happy. Doesn't matter how good the painter is the body work determines how good the out come will be.
The ride is looking great man keep up the good work
Smooth primer is so satisfying to touch
Crazy to think ive been a part of the shank squad for over 2 years, so much progress
i love your vision with this car i wouldve never gotten a 4door r33 but if it came like that from factory i would definitely get one cause i prefer 4 doors over coupes and i also wanna do bondo to mold kits and stuff on like that so keep posting that stuff and ive been watching you for years and didnt know about your previous drug addiction keep it pushin bro
Coming along nicely can’t wait to see the finish product ....loved the end advice
Honestly the back end of the car is looking dope, normally i love wings but i wouldnt put one on the car i think its different in a good way!
I couldnt do as good as you but you inspire me to strive I love it. Your the man Evan Shanks
You keep me going when ever I watch your videos you keep me moving
Bro u inspiremed to be more constable as a result I learn how take parts from my car such the wing, keep going with your advices they make me thinks better and decide hard things
Dad those sunglasses are... Something else lol... Love you Evan!
Can’t wait till it’s done
You should also bondo/mould the bottom of the rear doors.
I’m doing the same thing to my s13 and dayum you make it look so easy! Good job man
Evan really out here being a Picasso with the body work
I freaking love your Evo man, that shot at the beginning just made it looks so freaking nice, and its held up with all that power. I cant wait to see the GTR finished, you made me a 4 door fan with this build so far, and its only going to get better looking. Not sure if you're into audio upgrades for cars, but I haven't seen any youtubers do a fully built trunk setup with subs. I feel like the GTR would be a perfect car to put a beast of an audio setup in. Go full on NFS Underground on the trunk, but you know tasteful and not pimp my ride over the top. Just a thought, not sure what all your plans are for the build, but i'm sure it will be cool. I think because of your civic build you have inspired me to throw some parts at my beater honda. Its an extra car and would be fun to mess with.
Wow that speech was really inspiring... Thank you
Was so excited for this vid
thats sick how you were able to do it at home.....wish I had a garage but gotta take it to a shop i might just wrap instead
It’s looking absolutely fantastic Evan. So hyped for this build
Congrats on the anniversary my man!!
Happy Anniversary!!!
Definately would look sick with a R33 gtr wing
You're body work has improved greatly!!! The kit looks awesome molded, I am stocked to see it finish.
Evan I just now got to the end of your video. Thank you for the kind words and inspiration you drop. I’m sure I can speak for many people and say it does make a difference!
Evan thank you for the daily advice today. That one felt directed at me because I'm going through some stuff right now... But your advice gave me a different outlook on what I'm going through... So thank you
Evan get a dust collector from harbor freight for while your sanding. It really helps
Hi, good job on that buddy kit. Look great and keep doing a good job. You are a good example to everyone.
The skyline looks pretty good like when your fo sure done with it your not going to notice it.
