‘Ten hag had a worse squad than Arteta’ HUH? In what world💀 martinez, Varane, Casemiro, mount, bruno, Rashford. 165 million in right wingers, 70 million ST, compared too David Luiz, Mustafi, Ceballos? And an extra 300 million spent? Absolutely delusional

How in the hell is KG saying that Ten Haag had a worse starting squad than Arteta had when he was trying funnel 90% of that squad into a combined 11 with current day Arsenal? Please explain?
ten hag inherited a team that had their worst ever season ever, a dressing room that was leaking the whole year. a group of players that couldn’t even be asked to run for a ball the year before, and a group of players that shift the blame on others and had 3 managers sacked😂😂😂😂

He finished 3rd, 2 finals and 1 trophy in his first season. I understand the criticism but you can't be asking for him to be sacked

United literally didn't have the budget to sign amarabat for £21m. United needed to do more than bring in these boys to catch City. Meanwhile people have also improved and probably overtaken Utd.
"we cant talk about money spent because Chelsea spent loads"?? The guy who can never shut up about Man City spending.

Anyone who thinks ETH is a good manager, are clueless
No one is saying it will take a season. But Ten Haag was given a head start that most managers with rebuilds dont have. The players he asked for last season he got, and he's got onana, mount, amrabat, hojund. Some of his signings have been questionable too
Cry about it
@@timeisontheessence and only 2 of them played in the weekend. United problems need time to fix. We are seeing the same issues for every manager that has come to united. Even if we loose the next 10. Ten hag is still the man for the job
Ange had immediate impact with a team that could barely string a few passes last season, a toxic environment under conte and a looming transfer over their star player who eventually left. Seems like all excuses coming from the United fan
ever heard of a new manager back moron? ten hag inherited a team that was united worse ever season, a dressing room that didn’t even try to play for a interim manager, a team that was leaking every week
We'll see how things go long term with Ange. You guys have had bright starts under new managers before. The real test will be when you lose a few. Always is.

Absolutely baffling. Every time a criticism is given it “but what about arsenal/Arteta”🤣
As an Arsenal supporter, we were much worse off than Man U was/is… also, arteta didn’t get as much forgiveness from everyone else after 1 year as eth does currently… sorry 🤷🏼♂️
I’m not a arsenal fan but this is true if you match the squads up player by player the team ten hag took over is a lot better than the team arteta had. Yeah you finished 8th or whatever but you could see there was progress he was making the right decision getting rid of right players and the players he bought in improved the team I don’t see that at United
He didnt get forgiveness because he was the blueprint, now everyone says 'look how much time Arteta got'
Bruno and rashford alone made the United squad better than the arsenal side arteta came into
@@jahiem4692 yup but it doesn’t really look like eth is going to be the Man U blueprint at the moment…

I don't think Ten hags first season was a success. The fall off of Liverpool, chelsea and spurs made it look better on paper than it was. In a normal season they don't make top 4. I thought they got quite lucky with their results whenever I watched them, like wolves for example.
honestly man united really werent as impressive as people madeit out to be id argu while some players did improve i think largely most of the other teams underpreformed last season a lot
Such a weak argument as there's fall offs/surprises in every "normal season". You can only play the teams in front of you.
Lazy analysis at best
I hate United but normally for any other team to finish top 4 some teams have to drop their performance
I totally think they deserved to finish 3rd
Because they actually performed quite well last season
lol so this season is normal for liverpool because utd have dropped off
Utd fans live the past and the irony is this is the same thing they used to accuse Liverpool fans of 😂

Geordie has been hating on Ten Hag since day one. We have 12 or 13 first team injuries, Shaw, Bissaka, Varane, Malacia, Amrabat, Mainoo, Mount, Diallo, plus the Sancho and Antony situation, and others. Ten Hag can´t perform miracles.

Rashfords best 2 season are when he was playing for a new contract? Yes or no?
He literally had one poor season and he came in late due to a injury that season. Dont try to push your agenda
People need to understand that panic buying and overpaying for random players at the end august is not backing the manager. Antony was quoted as 50 million in June 2022 but they waited till the end of august after loses to Brighton & Brentford to buy him.
Casemiro, Hojlund, Amrabat, Antony… if they backed ETH then they would get their business done before preseason like Man City
It's Ten Hag's job to get Rashford to make simple passes and stop being selfish, it's Ten Hag's job to make his keeper actually save anything that's shot his way. It's Ten Hag's job to get Bruno Fernandes to be this world class baller all the United fans say he is. And he isn't doing that. That is on him.

Glazers clearly don't back Ten Hag despite giving him 300+ millions.
It's the Glazers fault Brighton completely outplayed him.
It's the Glazers fault he favorites some and calls out others and can't keep the dressing room together.
Yes. Only signs players he worked with before, sign of a manager who either has a dodgy relationship with agents or is too cowardly to bring in new players.
And the best players would that he managed told him to chip. Fdj stayed at barca even though barca accepted a bid, onana could have gone to utd for free instead of inter, but went a year later for 50m. Gravenberch went to arch rivals liverpool.

Ten Hag's first squad was so much better than Arteta's. And then he spent like 450m on top of that and got worse. Also, the United fan is wrong referring to switching out Ramsdale for Raya as "making mistakes". Arteta is going to use both keepers through the season depending on what the team needs for that specific game. Ramsdale is not a mistake and Raya is not a mistake
United are worse right now because of an injury/selection crisis. Which if anything, shows how thin the squad is still.
He bought raya because he doesn't trust ramsdale, which means his signing was a mistake
@@guilhermevieira6010 that's just not true at all
@@TheLizardKingC that's obviously true, you don't see liverpool, man city, barcelona... signing GKs to bring competition, you're just in denial.
This utd nightmare has been going on for so long I'm actually out of popcorn 🍿 😅
Just like last season and united ended up having a great season lol
I don't understand how "the team's not good enough" = "it's the owners fault". I'm assuming the glazers don't know anything about football and don't really interject when it comes to signings. So the fact that the squad "isn't good enough" sounds more like the fault of the previous managers who kept making poor signings. The glazers are definitely terrible owners but I don't understand the attempt to place all of the blame at their feet.
the glazers don’t get the managers their number 1 targets. ten hag wanted kim from napoli and he agreed to come but united couldn’t sign him due to money, ten hag wanted lane and couldn’t bc glazers don’t want to spend their own money, then overspend on players like antony due to incompetence bc they could’ve signed him for 50 but waited till the last week which bumped his price up massively. if you don’t know stfu m0ron
The Glazers hire the people who build the team, and none of the hires have been "best in class". Ed Woodward ran Manchester United for 10 years. Now it's John Murtaugh and Richard Arnold. None of these people have the credentials to do these jobs at the highest level. And then add to that that the facilities are literally falling apart. And that everything does have to get signed off on by like 7 glazer siblings--and yeah I think you can lay the failure of United post Sir Alex firmly at the feet of owners who do not care and have allowed rot to settle in. United will never win another league title as long as their owners are the Glazers. That is simply a fact.
@@mercurialblonde and that all makes sense. My point is that I'm only hearing Man U fans blame the owners and not the managers who brought the players in. A bad board of directors can hire a bad CEO but that doesn't absolve the CEO from responsibility for the bad decisions they made during their tenure.
@@PookieMax The point is that the Managers shouldn't be bringing in most of the players to begin with. That is meant be the job of the Director of Football and entire recruitment team working under them like it is virtually every other club in Europe for many many years and the Premier League for almost a decade. United quite simply still live in dinosaur land employing non football people to oversee recruitment which is why all their Managers particularly LVG, Mourinho and now Ten-Hag keep stepping in and having a much bigger say in it than they should. Someone like Marc Overmars and Edwin Van Der Sar would help solve that problem immensely.
There are so many egos at United. Brighton have none. It makes it so much easier for a manager to implement their game plan
Greenwood personal issues
Antony Personal issues
Sancho Form/personal issues
Bruno Fernandez absolute winge bag
Rashford inconsistent
They'll still get top 6 if not upsidedown head will get his p45
They should of gone all in for kane
And they stopped you from winning your first trophy in 68 years
Ten Hag has had a target on his back since day one.
1) He wasn't the media/pundits choice (they all thought Pochettino would have been better)
2) People questioned if he was good enough after the first two games of last season (people like Jamie Carragher making jokes about EtH being 'Eric ten months').
3) His transfers have been questioned ('Martinez too small', 'Antony not good enough' etc.)
4) He got questioned by Gary Neville when he made the team run 10km after the first two defeats of last season
5) He got criticised on how he handled the Cristiano Ronaldo situation (both in pre-season and during the season)
5) Criticism of the Sancho situation this season (when we've seen worse public criticism of players from Arteta on Aubameyang, Pep on Kalvin Phillips etc.)
6) Some fans starting to switch on him from the back end of last season (while they were prepare to give Ole time with less credentials based on his playing career)
While he's not been perfect since he's got here, he deserve time to get it right.
United fans also need to stick together and stop being swayed by pundits/player power and the media, who revel in seeing United falter over and over again because it makes headlines and sells papers.
Even a rival fan how in the world can anyone question Martinez been "small" when quite a lot of great defenders have been small. One in particular named Franco Baresi who is considered one of if not the greatest defender of all time.
He needs to be held to higher standards. He benched Rashford for being late 45 seconds to a meeting. The Sancho situation should have been held differently. He brought in Ronaldo at the 88th minute of the game. He mishandled De Gea and McGuire situations. He’s a petty. He acts like a disciplinarian but he should focus on performance instead of attendance. He would never been able to manage big personalities like Cantona

Arteta literally finished 8th twice and didn't get this much criticism
Compare the squads big fella
Arteta didn't have Casemiro, Varane in the squad. He didn't get to spend 300 mil on his players in his first 2 season. Arteta had to sign Cedric, Mari on loan, William on a free. Then he finished 8th on his full season. And went on to buy White, Ramsdale, Odegard. Ten Haag has bought his players but still playing Ole Ball in Old Trafford. With Ten Haag's experience, he should be doing better, atleast have his identity on the way they play.
It's not about the 300 million though is it
When Arteta won the FA Cup he had the likes of Pepe, Luiz, Kolasnoic, Rob Holding, Sokratis, Bellerin, Maintland Niles, Xhaka (as a holding midfielder) and Lacazette as regular starters.
Luiz was too bad but th3 only great player (before falling off a cliff) was Auba.
The likes of Saka and Martinelli were only babies (Saka was mainly playing LB under Emery) . His first transfer window was Cedric and Panlo Mari
There is no comparion between that and what Ten Hag started with.
In fact what happened to Casemiro being the best CDM in the world or Martinez being the best CB?

I'm a united fan and I can tell you Ten Hag is not implementing "Ten Hag Ball" this season and if he is then I had a complete misunderstanding of Ten Hag Ball 😂. This season so far we've looked the same, no tactics, no plan and unfortunately that lies on the manager. Up until the injuries last season we had a plan. But since then we don't. We held on last season and barely secured 3rd. Thought we'd kick off strong this season, but we're back facing injuries because someone had a bright idea to do a MASSIVE preseason, anything we worked on in preseason has been thrown out the window. The recruitments been poor, the preparations been poor, we are a poor run club and alot needs to change. But as Geordie said, Ten Hag should be doing better and he has alot to prove now
There's no way in hell KG thinks that the squad Arteta inherited was better than Ten Haag's squad. There's no fucking way.
The irony of geordie not taking the owners into account when he blamed Ashley for his bang average Newcastle for years
I’m a United fan and agree with TG, the fans are just giving him a pass every time and make us look deluded. Hope he turn things around, but don’t see it. Not enough character in this team. Almost 90% are mid-table team players.

You can't ignore last season, remember the Glazers are still in control

I love how TG keeps saying the team inherited is worth a billion, when so much of that billion is so poorly used. 80m of that billion is literally from Maguire, a player that TG will not hesitate to speak about how bad he is. So ETH inherited a billion pound squad and had a headstart compared to managers like Arteta, but some of those players (Maguire) aren't good enough to play in the premier league (according to TG). I don't understand what the Newcastle fan is saying. To say Ten hag is a one dimensional manager is the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard in my life.
What happened, when martinez, casemiro, rashford, garnacho were injured last season. We finished on top of Newcastle, Liverpool, Chelsea, Brighton. If ten hag was a one dimensional manager he would've crumbled last season.
Add to that he didnt have a striker too last season and these guys judge him with 5 games.

The reason we were successful last season and not the start of this season is FITNESS. We had a stupidly organised pre-season in america after an intensive 60 game season - 3 games a week. We got to every final possible, and played every game possible, the timetable did not suit united, we at times had 1.5 days between fixtures. The players aren't tracking back because they are exhausted. As a result many of our squad are also injured. You can argue that City obviously played every game, well they have a much better squad because they spend cleverly and have great players on the bench
the simple question is -
Is the manager getting the most out of the players he has got right now?
Forget everything else.
Clearly, he isn't.
united fans will keep saying “we haven’t spent as much as chelsea” to try and defend them not doing well just cus they’re not as bad. Our only technical players are Licha, Shaw, Sancho, Martial, Eriksen, Pellistri, Amad and most of them are not rated by the manager.
Ten Hag isn’t the problem. He’s a good manager in a shitty situation.
The GLAZERS HAVEN'T SPENT A PENNY OF THEIR OWN MONEY!!! 🔰
Disharmony with in the squad, club and injuries is something any manager would struggle with
ten Hag is a part of the problem
I sincerely hope everyone who thinks the way KG does can watch this and just sits down... Stop making excuses, and admit there's an issue. This is not saying abandoned ship, this is not saying ETH Out. The problem is you can't pick and choose what factors matter.
Antony - £81.9m (plus £4.3m in add-ons)
Hojlund - £64m (plus £8m in add-ons)
Casemiro - £60m (plus £10m in add-ons)
Mount - £55m (plus £5m in add-ons)
Martinez - £46.8m (plus £8.5m in add-ons)
Onana - £43.8m (plus £3.4m in add-ons
Malacia - £12.9m (plus £1.7m in add-ons)
Eriksen - free transfer
Total: £364.4m (without add-ons)
Utd are skint apparently 🤣🤣
Again bashing a manager 5 games into a season, we have a full team out injured, massive off field issues. First manager since SAF to finish in top 4 and win a trophy. Lost count how many times I've said managers need time, how can you expect things to get any better if we just changeal managers every couple of seasons
So Mourinho was cooking maize at Man Utd
Mourinho didn't finish top 4 and win a trophy. He finished 2nd and won League Cup & Europa in separate seasons. Then in standard Mourinho fashion it exploded. ETH should be a long term manager not a stop gap like Mourinho is, he's only brought in to win trophies in a short term.
@@bretthudson3110why should ETH be allowed to be long term if he's gonna make mistake after mistake ,if he can spend 400m and not introduce a play style then he's a flop
@@jonnyhill1155 because changing manager after manager hasn't worked yet. Despite winning a trophy and getting 3rd place everyone is calling for his head 5 games into a season, utter nonsense
Let me tell you something. 5yrs running we’ve seen the same literally the same mentality and culture at my club. Over 5 managers have all had players in this club down tools and play horribly. So you can’t tell me that “oh Arteta oh Zerbi oh no Pep” bro our club turns players into wealthy snobs. Ten Hag is doing what Sir Alex did when he came….uprooting and causing an upset
Arteta took his time and we wanted him out for ages, it may be the case for Ten Haag too
Arteta isn't the blueprint
@@thecontextual1one411 just saying, we hound managers too easily. Ten hag won a cup and got to a final and got champs league football back, not too bad, plus a host of injuries this season, it’s not been that easy. Not that I’m a fan of United, hate the fuckers 😂
The Glazers should take the brunt of the responsibility but its insane how Ten Haag gets away with things. Yes he wasnt allowed to sell maguire, mctominay etc likes past managers which is a glazer issue. However he has gotten most of his transfer targets at the first attempt than jose, Van gaal, moyes ever did. So he needs to be held accountable
He's got NONE of his first choice targets. Not one.
Antony, Onana, Lisandro, Hojlund, Eriksen and Malacia are ALL his first choices. Stfu
@@tycarne7850Antony. Lol. Not to mention Onana and Eriksen. This comment is a straight up lie.
Didn’t get Kane though and before you say Spurs were never going to sell, look for Laurie Withwells article today on how Joel Glazer and Richard Arnold thought it was unwise spending to go in for him.
@@tycarne7850stop lying
One basic thing that makes ten haag really bad is the fact he has not made a single utd player better where as arteta made saka martenelli odegaard turned xhaka to a crazy good player and the players he brought added to quality not so sure about ten haag
The problem was, is and will be is that during the Fergie time the standards were set so high that now neither ManU fans nor pundits have a realistic view how hard it is to change a mentality of the whole club.. look at Arteta and Klopp.. now they are successful but how long did they need to make the turn?! patience guys
I’ll save you 15 mins, ‘I’ll defend him until death and even though I won’t talk about the owners I’ll talk about the owners…’
This guy is such a poor yet accurate representation of a Man U fan. As a Man U fan I basically disagree w everything he said
True Jordie is spot on. United RUclipsrs like KG are point blank DELUDED.
Brian breathing like he's still a scuba diver.
Man United has the most expensive squad in world football. A report also published by Skysports confirmed last week
Im not a Man Utd fan but talk of how much theyve spent this season is a bit ridiculous if you actually look at it. Chelsea have spend 225m on two Midfielders, Arsenal spent £170m on two Midfielders. Utd spent 150m on 3 players. They bought 3 players who were available. Onana was the only one they actually wanted. Hojland looks like he might become a really good striker, time will tell, but they wanted Kane. Mount is a good player, but he was available at a decent price, thats it, they wanted Bellingham or Rice. None of these players were in their price range. The richest club in the world and they can afford to buy players. Thats an issue that flows right through the wages of players they cant move on, the recruitment mistakes paying massive amounts for them. How much did Maguire, Antony and Sancho cost? Theres mistakes there too, Mount for 60 when Maddison moved for 40. Easy to call in hindsight, but hes not the first, Trippier, theres others. There squad isnt good enough, Bruno is no where near the level of Odegaard or KDB. If these players were all playing across teams around Utd in the league, how many are top teams, the teams Ut want to compete against, how many players are they looking to steal of a Palace or Fulham? Rashford, Garnacho, Shaw, Martinez, thats about it. Bruno might be the guy when your there, but he ent the guy to get you there. The whole club is rotten, the only things that have changed in 10 years are the managers and players, everythings rotten. The culture, mentality of the players, recruitment, ownership, facilities, Stadium. Why sack Ten Hag at this point. They might as well have him as the control. Change some other things first. This is gonna take 4 or 5 years, a lot of money and a lot of change
Cameraman forgot to take his zoom lens off today what’re these singles
Names top mangers doesn’t mention Klopp 😂 still salty 🤫
Geordie talks about Utd's 5 poor performances. Well, that can be attributed to him trying something new and being intelligent & brave enough to know now is the time for it. He already gave us results in his first season - 3rd season finish, 1 cup and reaching another 2 cup finals. Geordie and co. sitting at the table mention this in passing w/o giving realizing that 1 cup win can be a fluke, but 3 cup finals is CONSISTENCY! So, what that tells me is that when results will be needed, he can adapt. 5 matches into the season is not the time to compromise. Ole would have but not a manager who has high expectations of his players. Some teams need a lot of time to fit into new systems
Don't waste energy trying to make sense here all are reactionary fans here who hate united , eth is still the man for now
Interesting how they fall back to the fact that united played Maguire for 15 mins but forget Arsenal play Havertz for 65 mins.
I have one united fan as a friend that’s not deluded. The rest genuinely don’t have a clue
Only Kloop is capable of Competing with pep. And he has proved that, clubs can spend billions but they’ll still struggle to compete with the genius of pep. Until pep is at city he’ll continue to dominate and club helps him giving all the power to him when it comes to signings
Stand strong KG. They can call us deluded but we don't need them to understand us.
9 players injured, Glazers not backing him in the summer, playing 3 games a week last season plus world cup, players not leaving, Sancho, Antony, the sale fugazi, brand new GK, a terrible attitude that’s been there for years, recruitment team that’s not worth a bag of crisps and can’t sell players or buy them fast enough, so little money that we had to loan Amrabat on deadline day
No manager can work with that. Club is rotten from the top down. Glazers out 🔰
Why do ppl use the old colours ???
You could tell Teb Hag it’s Wednesday and he’d try and deny it
For me I don't know what Man Uniteds strategy for transfers are. They're spending too much money on players that aren't worth the money
“I’d take Rashford out” 😂😂 that’s flipping blasphemous. Take Rashford out & what would United be, not even worth thinking about
True Geordie is Being Wilfully disingenuous.
Mediocrity has been allowed to breathe within United due to the Glazers negligence and lack of want to drive Man Utd back to the top. Ten Hag feels like a footnote where no matter what he does he will fail. The Utd facilities are behind Liverpool, City, Spurs and Arsenal so expecting them to compete is unrealistic as the ability to recover is nowhere near. They have a stadium which is crumbling whilst Anfield, The Emirates and Spurs’s ground are an example of progressive management which Utd have lacked on the pitch with their managers and have lacked off the pitch with Ed Woodward and Richard Arnold. They have become consumed by issue after issue
Smartest comment I’ve seen here so far. Thank you. If ppl can look past bants, they will understand exactly what is going on but I guess that’s the modern football fan
Also you guys still don't employ football people to run the recruitment process which would do a great deal to mitigate so many of the massive issues in the transfer market and allow the Manager to focus a lot more on developing the team as they mostly trust a good Director of Football to take care of what is needed like most clubs in Europe have doing for so many years.
Maguire is the best defender Manchester United have EVER HAD
