Thanks for posting. Magic Mountain is the park of my youth. Summer days will never be the same without Log Jammer. This ride has sentimental value to me.
@@sharpproductions yes I agree 100%. I like Jet Stream but it was nothing like Log Jammer. I guess they needed the terrain that Log Jammer occupied for Full Throttle. That would be my guess why they decided to remove it rather than Jet Stream. I kinda miss Tide Wave too
This was one flume that didn't need major theming the terrain , woodsy, two big drops and lake environment was enough. It was great precursor to the thrill rides.
It’s kinda sad to walk by and still see the entrance to the queue still there. It’s all sealed off now and I think they might use it for storage but the structure still remains. I mean I like Full Throttle but it’s not sentimentalize Log Jammer
RIP log jammer. That was one of my favorite rides when I would go there. I remember the last time I went on it was with my grandpa. And the next time I went there with him it was closed. He was so sad. Six flags magic mountain is really good at taking their most iconic rides and A altering them for no reason or B getting rid of them all together and putting in some stupid ride. Who knows what is next gold rusher or jet stream. Ride them before they are gone or you will regret it.😿
Just like Colossus! When it opened it was considered the fastest and biggest roller coaster! And it always was >:) It's still there... just a tiny bit updated to be "twisted".
You have to admit Full Throttle is a pretty cool ride. I just wish they placed it somewhere else so that Log Jammer could have stayed. :( RIP Log Jammer
Awesome video, I remember riding it in 1972 when I was a little kid, the jet stream had not even been built yet and the gold rusher was the main roller coaster.
I didn't know this ride closed. I haven't been in a while but used to go all the time. I remember that part at 2:40 to 2:50 used to scare the crap out of me because it looks like you're gonna go over the edge.
I went on Log Jammer ever since in 2009 in my 8Th grade field trip before graduating and even last year in the summer of 2011. Together I went on this ride 2 times. I will always remember Log Jammer. If I have a time machine I can go back in time to ride Log Jammer again! That would be a great idea!
I went back after like 4yrs with family. They now changed A LOT with taking off the flash (it was my favorite childhood ride) and taking a lot off/adding a lot of things. My mom and I we’re talking about the old rides they’ve takin off and this was one of my favorites cause I remember going on it with who I thought was my dad, but it was actually my grandpa who passed. Now it makes me miss it even more. Wish I had something I could get on to remember great memories I had with a great person
Log jammer always felt like it made that area of the park. The trees, water, it was so nice. Full throttle feels like it’s temporary, like it’s not meant to be a lasting attraction. It looks like it was put together for the absolute least money possibly.
The Log Jammer... the monorail track you pass under.... the giant redwood.... a lot of things have disappeared from the park these last 5 years. I can't say I'm pleased about it either, I love coasters as much as the next guy, but they keep removing crap to make room for MORE coasters. We already have the most in the world, why can't they be happy with that record and start focusing on building the other sort of infrastructure and entertainment the park needs sorely? Where's the live entertainment? Where are the slow "dark" rides? Where's the transit system?
BDNeon actually you do pass through the old monorail tunnel on full throttle! I don't think they're wanting to break any records! I believe they're just updating things. Because rails and such deteriorate with age!
The new Justice League ride is a tiny step in the right direction. A slow dark ride, with blessed Air Conditioning. Unfortunately it sounds like they don't plan on adding any more rides of that sort within the foreseeable future.
BDNeon I miss this log ride. Personally, I feel it shouldn’t have been taken out for Full Throttle. I love log rides, because it’s a fun slower option to rollercoasters. After 5 or 6 coasters I need a break anyway! I hope in their new developing section in the back of the park they seriously consider a new log ride, maybe one that goes through a mountain!
This has always been my favorite ride at six flags, being able to stick your hand in the water and splash the people in your boat, freggin hilarious fun, I am surely going to miss it.
Sorry to those folks whom suggest this ride should be extra Thrilling and intense. The whole purpose behind the Log Jammers peacefull atmosphere is supposed to make you feel as though your in a river, and flowing smoothly through a forrest. There was just something peacefull and beautiful to this ride which is and was why it's soo hard to fathom of it's removal. RIP Log Jammer.
This was the first ever ride I went on as a child at Six Flags. I was 4 when I rode this. I am now 13 and have a membership and I was looking to Cool off so I wanted to go here. All of a sudden, where is it? I miss this ride dearly.
If Six Flags was smart they should have rerouted the flume to go around Full Throttle because there are too many rollercoasters already, these log flume rides are a great way to cool down and or they could just transfer the log to Jet Stream
Log Jammer was their best water ride. I too wish they would have just altered the Log Jammer to fit within Full Throttle. Would have been super cool to be on the log ride and have the coaster flying by you. It's a shame considering that Full Throttle doesnt even use that area to it's full potential. Ugh.

Yes, the coaster will have the world's largest loop at 160 feet tall and have 3 launches (one backwards) at over 70 mph. The entire land is about 7 acres and most of it will be used as a new themed land for the park (including the coaster).
