Awesome set! I am sure you fix it all up in good condition. I have not seen this type before. I agree with you doing something to enjoy and spend time with those who love you. Each day is a gift and it is precious. Building memories are golden.
Awesome find! I am excited to see the finished version. You are so talented and will do a great job. Also, great advice for those who are hurting. Blessings to you and Bridget.
The table set is absolutely gorgeous. You’re right, they don’t make things like they use too. Things in the past were made of quality and made with so much pride. Most things today look nice, but made so cheaply. I suffer with some bouts of depression myself, it’s just something I battle with daily. Projects are an awesome thing to get into and distract yourself from the issues that plague you. Great Advice Kevin!
Great inspired video, thank you Kevin. It really picked me up out of a real low and has enabled me to at least think of a few things I could do as a distraction and enjoy. Depression is so draining but there is so much goodness and joy out there if you can just tune in to it 🙏🙌🏻
That's a great table. I've never seen one like it. I wonder if it was from a furniture factory in that area? I love seeing old things brought back to life. I'm a disabled coal miner and sometimes struggle with being depressed. You are right about staying busy or at least keeping your mind occupied. I like to buy old axes and hatchets to restore. I've also been converting a small cargo trailer into a camper. Looking forward to seeing the finished table.
My father suffered from depression his whole life and I remember him talking about staying busy helping him. He worked 7 days a week. He finally drowned himself 30 years ago. Love the table!
I also appreciate a good project. And I don't necessarily need to keep the finished item - it is just the process that I enjoy. I give away or sell things often. It is very satisfying to repair and refurbish!
I love the table,it’s gorgeous.I like things from that era. I have an antique table it’s been our kitchen table for 43 years we’ve refinished it a few times but it’s solid as a rock. Nothing today is made the way they were made back then.
My parents had a similar old kitchen table, but I think it was from the 1950s. The top was metal with a porcelain finish, but the legs were also metal although I think there was a wood framework under the tabletop that the legs and the top connected to. It also folded out and could expand. I was always amazed by the way the extra sections could fold out.
Have a table similar to yours. Enameled steel top. Mine has two "wings" that slide under the center section to make it smaller. My family ate off it as long as I can remember. I'm 70. Its painted black and white. The chairs are long gone.
I don't remember seeing one but that's a very cool table. I've know a couple of people that committed suicide. One I went to school with and one I was working with. I know the feeling of wanting to just bail out some times but you just keep going. The fact we are even here is a miracle. The end comes soon enough anyway.
Going down the rabbit hole of darkness...I call it "stinkin thinkin". I have chickens and a huge garden, it gives me a reason to get up and do things. Keeps the bad thoughts away. The table...I noticed a cut out in the middle of it..did it have a drawer?
I've never seen a table like this and didn't know they existed. Wonderful project and great video message. LOVING the candy binge idea!
That’s a beautiful table! It’s going to be real nice when done. The top is in great condition no scratches.

I'm not sure if it did, or not. I'll look into that.
Yes, I've seen these.
