    STOP. You can't have it both ways. You can't talk these teams up to Detroit's detriment all season as if the Lions are the pretenders somehow, and then when those teams prove to be the complete frauds we know they are, now somehow take away from the historic acheivement of the 2024 Lions. JUST STOP. ONE or THE OTHER.

      The NFC North was w/o question the best division this season by far. “Complete Frauds” … look at some of the teams the packers and Vikings beat this year in the regular season. Fuck, the Packers hung in there against the Eagles for the majority of that game on the road, that game was a lot closer than 22-10. The Vikings shit the bed in the playoffs like they always do, but they were a great team all regular season. The Lions had to play the
      Vikings for the division in the last week of the regular season , the first time in history 2 14 win teams were battle out for either a bye or a wild card spot where your likely on the road the entire playoffs. That’s unheard of and honestly shows they need to change the playoff seedings. Some of the mediocre ass teams winning their division and getting home field advantage for the first and probably second game (if they make it) is fucking stupid. If the Lions lost that game against the Vikings everyone would be calling for a playoff seeding rules change.

      @@acouniha Maybe 'complete frauds' isn't the best choice of words. Here's the reality: The Lions are on another planet from the rest of the NFC north, and by extension the rest of the NFC. You are correct, when you look at the other NFC teams, the Packers and Vikings probably deserve their records. It's not saying much though. Neither of those teams pass the eye test. I watched at least some of every Vikings game this year. I saw a lot of fortuitous penalties that kept them in games they should have lost. I saw a lot of really inept play by opposing teams in crucial moments of a number of games. Same goes for the Packers. They had no business being in a lot of games they were in this year. Once in a while they looked like one of the better teams, but it was HIGHLY inconsistent. Detroit on the other hand while EXTREMELY banged up, 18 starters on IR at one point, at TIMES looked human (5 interception Goff game agianst Houston) AND THEN THEY WON??!! Then the national sports media would hop on the Vikings bandwagon as if the Vikings were going to somehow unseat Detroit this year. Meanwhile Detroit has looked like the most explosive offensive team in the history of the sport MOSTof the time. When it came down to it, the Lions swept both Green Bay and Vikings pretty handily. I disagree with the comment about "If the Lions lost.." The only reason ANYBODY said anything about the seeding was because they Lions won. Sorry, no sale on that one.

    Sam Darnold was hidden in plain sight the whole time and the Packers were injured but also just not nearly on the level of the Lions. I don’t think overrated but more disappointing

    These idiotic commenters are acting like Mike and Rico were saying this division was overrated. Guys it’s literally just Rico, and honestly you all should just take what he has t say with a grain of salt because he always does these supposedly bold stand-alone takes that sound good inside his head but out loud they sound totally idiotic. Mike literally voiced that he was in full disagreement with Rico yet people are commenting “omg these guys are both idiots saying this division was overrated”. It’s like some of you never use your brains and only hear what you want to hear.

    Darnold i think was like a lot of rookies that come in to sports, they have huge first years. Usually in 2nd year teams figure out their weaknesses and exploit it. Well Lions got to him early and often in wk18 and rams followed the same game plan. He was uncomfortable vs lions then against during rams/.

      He’s been in the league since 2018, so it begs the question how no other DC figured him out before week 18 this year. I think it was simply that the big moments were far too big for him.

    Not that good? The Packers looked just as good as the Eagles outside of some boneheaded throws.
    It's not like the Eagles blew them away. There was a bad call on the fumble recovery that set up the Eagles first TD and Jordan Love played a bad game. If Jordan Love played his B game the Packers could have won that game. As far as the Vikings, the Rams used the defensive strategy the Lions came up with. Darnold was always the weak point of their team. The seeing ghosts things happened in 2018. The NFC North is and was not overrated.

    The NFC north was a little overrated. They played two crappy divisions. The Vikings and Packers are better than average but not as good as their record. Same with the Lions.
    The Eagles are the best team and it’s not particularly close IMHO.

    • @negativghostrdr
      @negativghostrdr 13 дней назад +1

      OK, How is the NFC North over-rated? They won I think nearly ALL of their games against Philly's division, minus some help from the junk yard that served as the field for the opening game against Green Bay- in injuring Jordan Love. The Eagles on the other hand are in BY FAR the weakest division in football. The Eagles were fortunate to walk away from a game against a hobbled and lethargic Packer team- who looked like they would rather have been anywhere else- with a win. The Eagles IMHO are even bigger frauds than either the Packers OR The Vikings. They are very likely going to get curb stomped by LA, who is also pretty flawed.
