I get the the six-speed is gone. I want a shifter knob to rest my hand on, in fact shift-down up like my eGolf makes my eGolf more fun to drive than the GTI (as far as using my hand to control gear changes / real or electric. That little prius chip thing rather than a knob cost VW a sale.
I wonder what the standard wheels on the 8.5 GTI S will look like, because the outgoing model's are shit. I'm thinking the Alfa-style rims will be reserved for the higher trims, not to mention the giant infotainment screen. That said, the GTI is deceptively quick, especially with the DSG, and aside from the Civic Type-R, is the only hot hatch you can buy in the US. Plus it hasn't gotten huge like its competition. The Civic Si, Elantra N, and WRX aren't really compact-sized anymore.
Am i the only one who dislikes the gti badging on the door?
First thing to come off.
What happened to the honeycomb fog lights ?

My question is the Jetta going to get an update for 2025?
