Having their own sound is entirely different than making and playing the same sounding songs, those comments are almost exclusively made by idiots trying to act like they know what they're talking about. When the band dissolved, leaving only one original member(Benjamin Burnley) to build a new band and the music still retains it's original sound is an accomplishment not often achieved and is a measure of talent in and of itself.
The next generation won't know this music because people like you keep telling them to f off. Just because you don't like a type of music doesn't mean it's not good. Humanity forbid someone like more then one type of music.
