      got a staris right now, and i think that the vertex is pretty good but i dont like how the engine sits on top of the deck, unless its still a floatng deck.

      I have a 61” scag V ride 2 and it corrects some of the short comings of the vertex. I’m very happy with it, in my opinion it’s as good or better than the vertex. But I’ve never driven a vertex either.

    Small tires, not enough horses, no articulating front end, small cheap spring platform, smaller gas can, old decks struggle w wet grass, no sides on pad for hills, plastic spindle covers instead of steel, ill take ferris z3x for same price all day😎 lVanguard 37 horsepower with oil guard system is the BEST! Grassflap is best shoot blocker. Foot pedal and flips all the way up and can feather it while still mowing. Qwickchute is great too

      I agree with everything you said. I find it funny that Exmark fans actually brag about the cut quality. They are terrible in wet grass.

  • @darkrosemusic7663

    if they come out with an X series it wll most likely be a wright ZK with red pain and an ultracut deck, like how the S series is a wright stander x. the X series will also probably be 20 grand XD
    i fel exmark is taking advantage of the hype on the vertex and seriously overpricing the machine. im sure its a solid mower bt you would get better bang for your buck if you went with a wright stander or scag vride etc. hopefully they chill with the MSRPs soon. not just exmark either everything went up considerably after covid.

    That FX730V at 23.5hp is the same engine Scag came out with for the 52" deck V-Rides over 10 years ago, and Scag never offered anything that wasn't bigger than that on a 61. Whether it's enough power or not, it's not competitive, especially for the price. Will be very interesting to see what bigger HP options Exmark comes out with later.

    37 HP is a lot of fuel to be burning for little gain. Sharp blades at the correct angle and good to go with the Kawis these units have (same for Toro)

    • @jadonnoble5621
      @jadonnoble5621 2 года назад +2

      I’ve ran Kawasaki engines and I just purchased the Scag Vride 52 inch deck with the 37 hp vanguard. The 37 hp vanguard is surprisingly fuel efficient and uses just over 1 gallon per hour. Usually between 1.1-1.25 depending on conditions. I have a fr651 Kawasaki with 21.5 hp that uses just over 1 gallon per hour just like the 37 hp vanguard. I have driven a mower with the fx730 23.5 Kawasaki and it also uses just over a gallon an hour. The vanguard is totally worth getting on any mower and is basically as fuel efficient as the carbonated Kawasaki. I might add that I have a John Deere 960m with a 31 hp Kawasaki fx921 with 31 hp. It uses almost 2 gallons per hour! Kawasaki’s are pretty thirsty from my experience.

    • @daflea66
      @daflea66 2 года назад

      @@jadonnoble5621 there isnt a way to make 37 HP with the same fuel volume that you make 20-something hp unless youre burning a different fuel. EFI is one thing but this would require direct injection, VVT, and a list of other technology and it still wouldnt be that similar. Physically impossible. They burn much more fuel than a properly tuned and running carb'd engine rated in the low 20's

    I wish this exmark had more more lubrication points and
    better spindle bearings
    Sure its nice not to have to worry with using a grease gun
    Just awful expensive replacing wore out parts
    Scag is mechanically superior and should be longer lasting
    This just not a scag

    Man, they reverse engineered the jd r series mowers, literally nine tenths of the things are the same

    I just bought a new home with a 4 acre lawn and the lady left me an eXmark Pioneer with less than 300hrs on it. It's been nothing more than a money pit and the worse POS I ever encountered. You can't level the deck, on any less than flat lawn, it digs into the turf, endless spindles being replaced, safety switches etc having to be replaced, no traction on any hill!!! Garbage! I'm going to the Deere place tomorrow and give this junk to charity. Good riddance! No wonder she left the mower here!

    Watched the whole video. I would not buy this unit. I would go with a ferris. It's a similar price even cheaper. Ferris also has the oil guard system, fule injection, and a larger engine

      To be fair, that unit is $13k, versus $12k. I agree bigger engine and oil guard, but the build quality of a Ferris and Exmark is like comparing a Ford to a Cadillac. Fwiw.

    Pardon me for thinking this... but a lot of these features look an awful lot like Wright mowers... did I miss a memo or something???

    Exmark didn't get anything right except for copying Wright

    Vertex is a joke 8.5 mph slower than stander x way slower than v ride n zk not productive at all. Overpriced not nearly as durable as wright guaranteed. Scag definitely cuts better too.

    Not even close to same level of a Vride 2

    • @bigb7239
      @bigb7239 2 года назад +1

      They are on original Vride level from 5 years ago with only slightly better hand controls, and that is just because of the width of them
