      @@Pantelifts10 last year just my wife and I did 8 yards in 2 hours. We have a system down to where one person is shoveling and hauling the mulch (basically running to keep up) and the other person is spreading and leveling the mulch. It also helps to dump the mulch from the wheel barrow in such a way that it is half spread after you dump it. I’m telling you it is possible to do 12 yards in 2 1/2 with 3 people. All I did was run back and forth with the wheel barrow ( and I mean running) while my wife spread the mulch. My son spent his time smoothing it out and making it look good. She can spread a wheel barrow of mulch in about 45 seconds. We go super fast.

    Hey, I just had my best month ever aswell! Over 22k work sold and done by myself, 7 days a week and working till 7:30ish.
    Had my first run in with thieves aswell... Nothing stolen but damaged our new trailer.
    And a little PSA, pass some of your fortune to your supplier! (I just did a small gift card and some pizza like you mentioned in a podcast). I treat them good and they have Mr at the top of there list everyday for that reason!

    Great video, love the quick cuts. I am at $135/yard installed. Only thing that really sucks this year is delivery fee jumped to $108 when last year it was right around $60 #letsgobrandon. Anything over 3 yards, I need to have delivered. I just sent a 7.5 yard mulch estimate so I hope I get it cos mulch is damn good money!
    I invoiced over $14k in May. Best May ever! Had quite a lot of money in doing some branch removal from a snowstorm we got that broke a ton of tree limbs, so that was nice. June should be great month too. I have a sod install to do, some bed maintenance jobs and bush trimming on top of my mowing. I have signed up so many new customers this spring after losing some to my rate adjustment. Ended up with higher paying customers than the ones that left so I am excited for this year!

    Loving the 3k a week profits from lawns we're doing but myself and my worker are already getting burnt out. Weather it be dealing with brain dead customers, to over grown over watered and fertilized lawns. Thinking about dropping my shity account and taking a day of mowing off and do landscaping. For me it's getting to the point I'm ready to hire someone to mow and mulch my own yard due to my lack of wanting to do it after all week of mowing. Unfortunately this season I don't have the lawn "care" part in my head and can't shake the lawn "we don't care" mindset I'm having. Shouldn't have to have the deck almost all the way up and have to mow a yard 3 times because it's so long and have customers complain of ruts and clippings. Can only make it look as good as the conditions I'm given and the customers just don't understand. Water water water, fertilizer fertilizer fertilizer.... cut my lawn as short as you can.... I'm not paying double cut charges...why is my lawn so long. You can explain shit to customers until you are blue in the face and they still ask and complain about the same stupid shit week in and week out. Have already lost 4 problem accounts due to incompetence of the client, they found someone else who charges more, does a terrible job they all called back to have us work for them again... guess what the price just went up $10 if you want back on our list and $15 if you come out each week. Done with brain dead piss ons that are clueless.

    QUESTION FOR THE COMMUNITY: I am hearing folks say they charge $120 per yard of mulch delivered and installed or another price per yard of mulch picked up, delivered, and installed... I am not sure how this logic works, help me understand? A simple trip to the mulch yard and to the property can take an hour which for us would be $80 per man... so if there was a two man crew on this project, the price to get to the mulch yard and back would be $160... Our 1 yard mulch jobs usually run from $350-$450 upwards to $600. We have hedges to trim and weeds to pull, edges to cut in, etc... pre emergents and post emergents to apply, and just not sure what people mean when they say $120 or $140 per yard of mulch installed... anybody care to clarify this? Thanks so much everyone.

    • @BriansLawnMaintenance
      @BriansLawnMaintenance  2 года назад +3

      For us that simply means the cost of the mulch plus markup, and the cost of labor plus markup. This job didn’t take any bed prep. No edging, no weeding, no roundup of spraying or anything like that. Very straight forward job.
      If you need to do anything else like you mentioned, naturally you’ll want to cover your time and even delivery costs. Everyone is different, and every job is different.
      Hope that helps!
