Well when I read that I think of Metallica's Lulu but then again Bruce's talent could make it work, I'll say no because the backlash Bruce would receive
OK, maybe Lemmy is god, but I am blind in that range. There aren't any gods among my usual dinner party guests. Bruce is the ultimate Renaissance Man, one who Leonardo DaVinci would welcome as brother. This song was magnificent. Anderson made that flute go from bright to chilling and haunting. *Sigh* Another album on my list to buy.
Sometimes out of nowhere pearls appear, I never dared to hope that they even exist. Brutal how similar the song sounds to an actual Tull piece. Great Job, Brian Dickerson.
I heard this song on the album, one of the best work by Bruce, whether it's Maiden-wise or solo-wise but this version of it, oh my God, it's complementing a masterpiece, I don't understand how this kind of stuff doesn't go viral and break records
Amazing. I'm moved to tears. I was a fan of Iron Maiden from Bruces start and have always been a fan of his vocals. But I've never been moved to tears by his singing like I am from listening to this.
Jerusalem in its “traditional” arrangement is, by far, my absolute favourite piece of music, both lyrically and musically. In saying that, the rework by the almighty Bruce Dickinson is truly something to behold, especially this live version with JT. Everything about it just “fits together” seamlessly, and is no doubt one of those once in a lifetime performances. I wonder if good old auntie beeb (the BBC for those not familiar with the name) would be interested in having Bruce and co join them next year for Last Night of the Proms? 🤔
absolutley moving and wonderful performance by some of todays finest musicians. Ian Anderson will go down in history as one of the finest songwriters of our era. Not to mention that him and those who have helped over the years with Jethro Tull, are great multi-talented musicians.
Great version with the flute! For a hard rock version, I strongly recommend everyone to listen the version played by Bruce and his band on the "Best of Bruce Dickinson" album.
Wow, how did I not see this video before?! I'm a massive Maiden fan and am big on JT to a lesser extent, an amalgamation of epic proportions I never thought I'd see.
One of my favorite solo Bruce songs. There's a reason he is known as the human air raid siren. Bruce and Adrian were quite the pair with Tribe of Gypsies for a while.
This and the other performance you can find that Bruce Did at this show is truly some of the best that i have heard Bruce and the Lyrics and purely wonderful. Thank you Blake for these great words of wisdom and Bruce for your great mind and talents that seems to be impossible to replicate in anyway.
Chemical Wedding It's an absolute mark on Bruce's Career, where he was able to show where he can get with the right band. That band formation with Roy Z, Adrian Smith, Eddie Casillas and David Ingraham was perfect. Both albuns with that formation are timeless, and look how weak Tiranny Of Souls (wich it's a good album) sound's compared to the others. But anyway, this version sounds really great and show how the man sound's without a mike!
Stunning interpretation. Loving the quintessentially JT British pastoral feel with BD's massive Rock vocal. One for the ages. Not sure if missing the "Dark Satanic Mills" lyric was intended, but a cracking version nonetheless. More!!!
Bruce absolutely loves tull, and also steve harris, ian anderson is a gentleman and a genius
I'll bet a lot of people came here with respect for Ian Anderson and left here with respect for Bruce Dickinson.
Bruce, ist wie ein guter Wein, er wird mit dem Alter immer besser 😊

@@arismaiden6457 He's not trying to be Dio. That was bloody good.

wow imagine being in the audience to hear this wonderful piece. he seems so full of song he would burst if he did not sing.
It's more than a song!
It penetrates deep into the soul and takes you back centuries into the past.
From Russia with respect.
My God Bruce's vocals ... my jaw is on the floor .. no words just admiration for this man ..
Total respect bruce has for ian and tull, same here
this is superb. What a voice! Bruce and Ian definitely need to record a folk rock album together
TheAdam159 i would actually buy that if they did.
Well when I read that I think of Metallica's Lulu but then again Bruce's talent could make it work, I'll say no because the backlash Bruce would receive
I was thinking that as I watched this and was going to comment to that effect but you beat me to it.
TheAdam159 fuck. yes. indeed.
Yes yes yes Abso-fucking-lutely yes
The BEST voice in rock/metal. This proves it.
Had no idea this existed. Bruce proves why he is one of the best frontmen in music. Superb voice.
And that is why I love Bruce Dickinson and Iron Maiden so much.
Tull too
Bruce Dickinson is a god. Period.
He is THE god. The one and the only.
KratosCY Lemmy is God. The rest are just other Gods.
He is God. The rest are just gods.

Saying period doesn't make it true. Period.
I never get tired of watching this .. what a marvelous performance !
Bruce has of those one in a 100 million voices. The ease with which he utilizes his range is just amazing.
He is better with his solo material than with Maiden's, where he clearly strains lately.

@@vadimastprojects8770 The Book of Souls (song) is a God-tier vocal performance. One of the hardest songs to sing in metal.
This version would make a fine national anthem for England .
Edward Corran good call
But no one would be able to sing it.
@@DunmoresMovieMania No one can sing the God save the Queen either everyone just sort of mumbles along .
Я "за" брат
the best.....all pop and mainstream singers can go to sleep. ...
black wren perfectly said,,,Bruce rules
Yes black wren for they sing from the throat and Bruce sings from the heart and gut where true power and passion run free ;)
Well said
they are asleep that is why pop and mainstream all suck
its true
Without a doubt one of the best singers of all time. I’ve been listening to Bruce since 1984. Very talented individual. Was great to hear this.
There's no bad song when Ian Anderson is present. Great partnership!
Точно сказано, брат
Great post! Bravo!
Sometimes out of nowhere pearls appear, I never dared to hope that they even exist. Brutal how similar the song sounds to an actual Tull piece. Great Job, Brian Dickerson.

What a powerful singer!
Total full on respect by 2 legends

One of the best singers ... EVER!
Nice version of the song, too!
Love Ian Anderson's flute playing here
Such a beautiful performance!
I have goosebumps every time I hear him singing "Let it raaaain!"...
This cathedral should be used as a studio for recordings. Wow and just wow the way this legend can sing. Phenomenal talent…love the flute piece also
I agree. Many of the old churches and cathedrals have superb acoustics.
Loved Jerusalem from the first time I heard ELP record it ..such a powerful song!
I'm both a Tull and Iron Maiden Fan This is amazing.Expected from Ian Andersen Shockingly great From Bruce Dickenson
Fantastic! The great rock-man Bruce Dickinson with Jethro Tull!!!
" No, you're never too old to Rock'n'Roll if you're too young to die."
It’s great to see people team up like this
Awesome version! Damn, his voice is perfect here. Can't wait for his new solo record.
Doesn't get much better than this. Flawless vocals!
Amazing. I'm moved to tears.

This is Dickinson's song.
Wow! Been a Maiden fan for years and know very well what Bruce is capable of but this could be one of his best performances!
Superstars both of them. I saw them recently both and they still are superb. Bruce can sing everything ,he sings the tiles from a roof.
Glad i was born during his and Iron Maiden's time.
Bruce and Ian may you live hundreds of years! Bravo!
One of the best vocalists in the world of all time!!!!! Bruce is God!!!!!!!!!!!!
The voice of the beast !

Voz de Deus. Bruce cantando é como um bom vinho... melhora com a idade!
Mas um deus pagão, não aquele véio chato da bíblia.

You can see how impressed was the bass player with Bruce. Probably an Iron Maiden fan :-) and if he wasnt, after this performance he surely became one

Bruce Dickinson has a massive set of lungs!
No wonder Iron Maiden didn't sound right when he wasn't there.
Damn that was beautiful, and the reason why I’m an Iron Maiden fan!
