Speaking of, I just noticed that in anime it's like the animators are keeping Soma x Erina pair as lay low as possible. Like what some of you said, it is more romantic in the manga. Sometimes I cannot help but think that the animators probably like Megumi more because they keep her in a lot of scenes as much as possible even if she's not originally supposed to be there. Like for example in Soma x Eishi shokugeki, supposedly Megumi is not included there, just Erina and Hisako, aside from that there's more. I do not hate Megumi at all, I am a Takumi x Megumi fan but sometimes noticing it annoys me a little since I am a big fan of Soma x Erina.
Jannie Sagninam well, those are some slight changes that didn't significantly affect the plot, but i felt it too. That megumi will end as sōma's partner. Just like naruto-hinata or ichigo-orihime. But still, i don't care either way as long as the character's not a total bitch/asshole.
Midori Guy That's totally only in the anime though. Still, they do not have a choice but follow the manga. The manga is getting better and better for Soma x Erina. I really love Megumi to be with Takumi though.

But the other big thing to pay attention to is how surprised she is that everyone's being nice to her. Thanks to her father and other factors, she was isolated and sheltered for most of her life. The closest things she's had to friends were her cousin and her personal attendant. Running away to the Polaris Dorm changed that.

I hope that the writers will not ruin this because the built up is so important to us. I don't think so, Erina is a major tsundere and have a lots of pride. She acknowledge Soma way even before she knew who is his dad is. It's just that, Saiba is the reason why she stopped forcing herself to stop appreciating Soma.

If you like Erina and Soma 96% of it will literally anger you as it did me. Food Wars manga ended but it was a rushed ending like Bleach. Erina and Soma do have more happy moments like this video, but as mentioned, the manga might actually anger you with what they did everywhere else. There was no real conclusion on anything that was built up throughout the anime, including Erina and Soma, you could not tell that you were reading the final chapter if you didn't know it was. There is epilogue chapters, there's only 1 out of 3 out right now, Erina and Soma being together might be a possibility, but christ it'd be really rushed which doesn't matter at this point, but they gave us 100 chapters of garbage instead of even half-way solidifying Soma and Erina's relationship. Season 4 of Food Wars should end the Group War arc, but i extremely doubt the final arc will EVER be adapted given poorly it sold and was received by everyone. And truth be told, that would be best for anime watchers. Manga readers mostly agree that the manga should have ended with the group war arc, but because the rest of the manga is trash and the group war arc had a good window to conclude the series in good spirit. I assure you that the rest of the series feels nothing like what was built. I heavily regret finishing the manga after the anime, but it couldn't helped, I just had actual trust in the writers since the anime was fantastic. No amount of shit endings in any source of media prepared me for what Food Wars gave me. There's two more epilogue chapters left, and as in most cases they are timeskips and they will be fanservice. The sad thing is I'm not even 100% certain Erina and Soma will happen, no matter how much bonding and foreshadowing has happened between them, there is no more trust in the writer. At the end of the manga there is nothing solid between Soma and Erina, and Soma still acts like he's asexual. The cooking rivalry between them gets stronger with Soma wanting to make sure Erina likes his cooking. In addition to that Erina has become good friends with Soma and even highly respects him. As a reminder, Soma's father in the "anime" has told Soma to find a woman he loves to cook for. Fast forward to an epilogue chapter Erina is asking Soma's father what Soma's mother/his wife was like, end epilogue chapter 1/3.
