what amazes me about America is that it's so car centric that even though there's ZERO car traffic coming, it still makes you wait nearly a full minute before letting you cross the empty road.
where i live the buttons literally don't even do anything. The lights turning on are just built into the cycle and pressing the button doesn't even make the cycle go faster
@@EverlyScott most of them don't, its rare to have them actually affect anything, at least in my experience. It's all a mental thing, if you think you made it come faster, you are more likely to wait for it to change rather than trying to go when you 'think' is clear

Reminds me of the time i had to cross a 5 lane 45mph 4-way in rush hour traffic and the button didn't even work. This was also in Texas
