The fire extinguisher methods only works if you have discipline - based on my experiences, if you have the money just put it in the loan account same time cause it will be touched. Especially if you always doing stuff.

I am starting my student loan payments in about a month and I was trying to find an easy way to make payments through the office without going to Kingston. But your recommendation to pay on the principal every couple months rather than trying to do it monthly solves my problem. So thanks for that 🙌🏾
Xay Layla, Anna said to make monthly payments AND continuously save a lump sum to be applied to the principal periodically. If you don't make tour monthly loan payments you are going to be charged late fees and other charges and fees as the case may be. You can make SLB payments through NCB online (and online with other banks too either as a bill or a bank transfer). Your TRN and SLB acct number (IIRC) make up your bill payee number. Then you make payments screenshot/write down the reference number date etc and you can forward same to them or not. As for instructing the SLB to put additional payments towards your principal, it is likely you can do this over the phone/email, without having to visit the SLB, especially given COVID restrictions on face to face interactions. Even if you have to go in person for the first time to authorise the additional monies being out to your principal, find out if you can do so via email for subsequent payments.
Lucozade Ja. Thank you for this. I will be making my monthly payments as normal. I just reread my comment and my phrasing did make it seem as though I wouldn’t be making the stipulated monthly payments. Rest assured I will be. I was referring to the additional monies to the principal

Perhaps you could put the additional monies in a fixed deposit (or something similar) 90 day 60 day 180 day etc and earn a tups and I do mean a tups of interest. You would have to see which financial institution has the highest of the teeny tint interest rates (at present) of course.

Send the same letter by email. Then with each subsequent lumpsum payment send an email and a letter via advising them of the details (amount, date of transaction, bank, ref etc) and the instructions that it should be put towards your principal. Can you also give an update on the procedure to make extra payments and if they can also be made online and emailing instructing etc.? I think it should work but I have no clue lololol

Hi Natasha, there is. There’s a 50% payment to join ( $22,750 ) and the balance of $22,750 is due three months after the program has started. There’s no vacancy in cohorts 1 or 2. Only cohort 3 is available which begins in November
I am in the worse depth and I cannot get a consolidation credit I was running a business and the business contract with a company I sign to 4 year back and 6 months back I couldn't keep up with the loan because the market price drop and the material cost goes up 30% and I couldn't cover the loan and utilities so I stop the business and get a job I am not able to pay the 500k now it's not a bank loan and I cannot fine it now am facing prison time can you tell me what to do cause my bank told me I cannot get a loan because I am not employed for a year no bank is giving me any credit for the reason and I get 5 day to fine 200k to pay up front what do I do
how did that happened . The older generation did not have any debt. I think they want to live a life they can't afford. Hanging their basket where they can't reach it

I notice that they don't allow easy access to make payments on the principal for loans. You have to go directly to their office. So backward
I've been suggesting to them to make regional offices or transform two hiace bus into portable office.

"Bad Debt" is real debt. Good Debt is called Bills.
