    Great message…. Consumer debt is modern day slavery carefully hidden behind messages like “you deserve it”, “Obey your thirst” etc. Don’t fall into the trap. Takes peace out of your life and replaces it with things and worries

    I can agree 100%. I left my corporate job and now a full time mom for two autistic kids. Did we have a tough mountain to climb financially. Were doing it our own way and debt is being paid and goal for this year will be met. My husband is in awe. How did we paid more than 15,000 in debt last year with my salary. Easy God never Fails.

    Your videos are always helpful & on point 💯 I touch and agree with those verses and I was seriously rolling when you mentioned going ham and all the other meats 🍖! 🤣 Also a good point of reference is that no, money nor debt is not evil but the love of money is which all financial stewards or managers should know and practice. 1 last thing - thank you for not cutting out your pronunciation issue with the word "reckless". Your transparency makes your videos even better. Appreciate you and Grace! God bless 🙏🏾

    Wow, Jereme this is exactly what I was praying about this morning. I want to be a good steward (manager) of the resources God gives to my family bc it’s true everything belongs to him. Ive been a homemaker for 3 years now and I manage the finances so this gave me hope for the future! It has been a tough journey but exciting start to the new year to finally be paying off our last loan. This was literally confirmation that we are headed in the right direction and it will be so worth the sacrifices we are currently making to get it done. Thank you for this on time message! God bless you and your family Jereme!

      Im not using debt for my first rental airbnb. I can't say debt is wrong, but all I can say is debt can be dangerous if used wrong. Many people have done very well financially using debt and many people have done well without it. If I was to consider going into debt for a rental, I would ask myself these questions 1) why am I getting into debt/what is the purpose? 2) how is this decision going to affect my walk with Christ, family, and others? 3) what is the risk and exit strategy? Best way to reduce risk is to have multiple streams of incomes and best way to exit/sell fast is to buy under market value or add value to it.

    Watched it twice. Bad debt v good debt. I read that personal bad debt is increasing quickly. Many are trying to maintain their lifestyles through acquiring more and more consumer debt, which does not build wealth. It steals future wealth and time. Frugality may be the solution. For the question: would you consider going back into debt to purchase rental et al property. Or, is Ramsey correct, save up for it.

    • @gojereme
      @gojereme  2 года назад +4

      Hey Kevin! I'm not using debt for my first airbnb rental. The Bible doesn't say debt is wrong, but it does warn us that it's dangerous. I believe buying stuff for the wrong reasons is not biblical, whether you use debt or not. It really comes down to the heart. So if was to consider getting into debt for an asset, here are the questions I would ask myself to make the decision 1) Why am I getting into debt/what is the purpose? 2) How does this decision affect my walk with Christ, family, and others? 3) What is the ROI? And time it will take to manage 4) what is the risk and exit strategy? The best way to reduce risk is have multiple ways to use the property for income, have an emergency fund for the property, or just have multiple income streams to cover things when they arise. The best way to exit/sell fast is to buy under market value or add value to a property.

    Parable of the talents made literally no sense to me in my youth
    Almost 30 now and that has changed lol
    A manager role doesn’t imply that none of the money is yours, but it DOES mean that it’s your moral obligation to grow and foster what your are given for free in the beginning. God wants us to share in the ownership of what we have created on top of his generosity and grace. Ofc he can take it all away, but he does want us to “have” the fruits of our labor.
