Thank you for this presentation Sis Wilson. I think you have an amazing perspective on this topic and everything you teach. Thank you for the time you put into this lesson, and thank you to your Brother for helping. This discussion on the Priesthood was and is very powerful. There is so much to learn in this space. I most certainly learned alot from this presentation, and I am going to refer back to this presentation and the scriptures each time, as there is alot to reflect on. Learning about the history and power of the priesthood is a blessing and a beautiful journey. God bless you and everyone at SC Sis Wilson ❤️.
"Such a enlightening discussion! Lynne Wilson brings a unique perspective to the New Testament, helping us unravel its spiritual treasures. Grateful for the insights shared in this Come, Follow Me study.
Thank you SO MUCH for working on this theme! Thank you for having dedicated your whole live to study the scriptures, in that manner you enlighten our understanding about the gospel of JesusChrist!. I have a great respect for you Sister Wilson.❤
I love this comprehensive, in-depth view. I definitely need to do more Godly & temple worship than just hang on to my temple Covenants. Thank-you! And Merry Christ mas!
I so enjoy each one of your videos Thank you Sweet Sister Wilson ❤ I love the study of Priesthood. It's very important for everyone to understand who each one is Both are needed. Aronic, and Melchelazeladec, both so very important. Scriptures tell us just how much we need it Alma always gives me comfort and information ❤book 📖 each one is special because someday females will be priestess, correct? I think I have read this. and heard some things after things will be turned back to Heavenly Father. ❤ 16:35
This is absolutely fantastic! I’d love a consolidated version of this to share with my YW. Some do not yet grasp the exalting power of priesthood in their lives, the powers endowed in the temple and their roll in the restored gospel as Priestesses.
Would you please link a reference to your comment about Joseph's mother raising a child from the dead? Id love to read more about that. Your comment is at 33:10 in the video. Thanks!
Hi…enjoyed the Christmas narrative……however…..Sister Wilson referred to her handouts…….could not find the link anywhere…..how do we get to those handouts Sister Wilson refers to??????
Hello sister, thank you for wonderful lessons, but I have a question about your comment “from Adam on, the priesthood was only given to first born.” I think the birthright was usually the firstborn, but the priesthood was given to all worthy males until Aaron’s time when the pattern changed. For example, Abel wasn’t the first born, nor was Jacob, Joseph, etc.
Keep it simple, strip back to understanding the basics. The purity of the straight and narrow path can easily become blurry. When it comes to the Priesthood; there is a necessary "talent" to act under the authority of the priesthood; and at the same time this necessary "talent" is needed to extend the powers of the priesthood thru Eternal Families and the New Covenant.
Some symbols were adopted, but that makes total sense to me. Symbols are how humans communicate simply the meanings of complicated concepts. Symbols that are well known already are already primed socially for using for adaptation, no matter what the situation on context. It makes sense. Regarding christian symbolism, it follows this pattern too. Jesus taught with symbols and symbolic stories adapted from the social experiences of his time. Those who followed after him teaching his gospel would have likened symbols that were already normal and understandable and ascribed them new or increased meaning or new context.
@@emmawhite6263 First off, Jesus taught with illustrations, not symbols. With spoken language is how he taught. Second of all, nothing you said changes what the facts are. Unless you do not know that the word pagan means, which is opposite of Christian, you have no understanding, or reasoning behind what your post is indicating.
I had read that Joseph Smith would not allow his wife Emma to participate in the temple ordinances and/or have her children sealed to her until she agreed to Joseph's polygamy. Is this true?
Even a Christian cannot brush aside the worship of Jehovah as God. In Revelation 1:5 the Son of God called himself "Jesus Christ, 'The Faithful Witness. When on earth as a man he was a Jew, an Israelite, to whose nation the words of Isaiah 43:10 were written: "'You are my witnesses, ' is the utterance of Jehovah, 'even my servant whom I have chosen.'" Jesus demonstrated that he was a faithful and true witness of Jehovah God. His genuine disciples today must be the same kind of witnesses, Jehovah's.

😊
I hope you do these videos with the Book of Mormon next year. 😊
Fantastic lesson!
This was beautiful, thank you very much!
My ancestors were Methodists in the late 1700's. But one of their grandsons became a Baptist preacher.
Interesting how all these important church dates fell on and around Sep 22 and coincided with important Jewish holidays. Rosh Hashana and others.
Autumn solstice
That's also when I left on and returned from my mission.
@@trevorhegstrom2816 That's so cool!
Very interesting and well documented. Thanks
Super interesting!

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Christmas of pagan origin?
And also developed for commercialism?
Anyone?

I trust that Peter never lay his hands on a Roman to give him the Priesthood.
