Thank you so much sister, I appreciate the work you do in providing these videos for us. You are a blessing to many people and especially my life. Love you!
Wow! I really appreciate all the historical background that you give with the scriptures. I use these to help my Seminary students understand the context of what we are studying. Thank you for all your time and effort in providing these videos for us each week. You really help me understand so I can help my students understand!
John's epistles have taken on more value in my eyes, thanks to your enriching commentary, sister Wilson. Thank you for sharing a lifetime of research and discipleship with us.
Thank you Sis Wilson. Another amazing lesson. Wow, I found the information on family relationships pre-christianity very interesting. I also thought about this in relation to some of the social and cultural practices in family relationships today. The Savior's teachings of what family relationships are and should be is imperative. People are not always aware they are parenting incorrectly until it is brought to their attention. In a lot of instances, and through the course of time, people repeat parenting practices that were shown to them, this is my take on it. It is lovely to hear the Prophets in the scriptures and today repeat the Saviors message, and lovingly highlight these points. Thank you for this amazing insight and all the other insights discussed in this presentation , and Thank you always to the beautiful team at SC ❤.
I really love your lessons and historical insight!!! I teach Gospel Doctrine in our Ward and your lessons truly help me set-up the class with wonderful details we study in detail.... it's just marvelous!! LOVE all research and facts you provide. Thank you for sharing your talents!
I appreciate how you read from various translations of the Bible. It adds so much depth to the scripture passages. Your love of the word of God really shows through in your presentations.
I have found immense love and profound lessons in John's epistles. His words carry a timeless wisdom that resonates with the core principles of faith, love, and Christian living. The clarity and depth of John's teachings have been a guiding light for me, offering practical insights and spiritual truths that continue to shape my understanding of the Christian journey. The epistles serve as a source of inspiration and a wellspring of wisdom, fostering a deeper connection to my faith and a richer appreciation for the teachings of Christ.
What an amazing lesson. I love your wisdom, insight and intense preparation. I wish you could talk longer because I know you have so much more to share. I agree with you that we need to all help prepare the church for the coming of the Savior. Thanks for doing your part. Shalom.
Great video......thanks so much for doing these....we love them!! :) You have a typo on one of your slides. Judah (Jesus' half brother is mentioned in Matthew 13:55, your slide said Matt 14).
If you're looking online, go to the Gospel Library, Scriptures, then Study Helps. In the Study Helps section you'll see "Joseph Smith Translation Appendix", which has all the sections listed where the Prophet Joseph Smith made his entries. If you have a hard copy of the scriptures, you will find the JST close to the end between the Harmony of the Gospels section and Bible Maps. And yes, it can be difficult to find. I often (light heartedly) refer to it as the seal portion of the scriptures. :-)
@normajones5331 the footnotes in our LDS edition only have about 1/3 of JST revisions. To see all of them, you have to read from a complete publication.
The depth you add really gives so much more meaning to the scriptures we study. Thank you!

Thank you for always providing amazing insight! This channel and your channel are my go to for scriptural understanding!
I appreciate how you point out that these epistles are not "historical" letters but rather messages for us today.
Thank you for another excellent lesson on the epistles of John and Jude. Your teaching about light and how it is everything was very profound.

Is the handout available yet?
I can not find 1st John 2:15-16 JST

I’m looking at it now in my paper scriptures. However, she quoted 1st John 2:15-16. It only lists verse 1. I appreciate your help in clarifying this!
