Montreal is amazing. It just needs two tall well designed buildings, around 300m, to balance the skyline. I know the city has a height restriction for skyscrapers, but I hope they can change it one day.

Indeed, hopefully there will be no more height ewstrictions

Griffintown is a good exemple of high density housing with all services available .... One major skyscraper would be nice for a focal point and a iconic landmark .... but we need more habitat 67 ... Royalmount project will be amazing for quality of life

I don't agree! Building a much taller building than the others suddenly reduces the size effect of the global skyline (I find). An extreme example is the Burj Khalifa. Its like everything around is not a high rise anymore. Just my point of view

Montreal is not often recognized for its skyline but wow in the future it definitely will be!

@@isushimanI just found out Toronto’s gonna have one of 302m that should be done by 2025 🤯 Montreal would have to get rid of their ridiculous height restrictions

Nice video, thanks for making this compilation. I just wish these developers push for more interesting and innovative designs. Maybe the city could place stricter design guidelines or incentives to improve the architectural quality of these new developments.

Great video!!! Nice to see this level of development downtown. Many of those towers rising out of speculative parking lots. There were so many in the 90s.

Keep that shit downtown. WE WANT OUR BIG SKY VIEW UNOBSTRUCTED

Artificial construction ("cheap" clean), in an artificial path towards a mediocrity of life, for immigrant robots, without more work in the city (telework and other causes ...) and a real demand in groups of the same kind. For an artificial economy, which does not pay (or enough) taxes on buildings (without knowing how ... legally), too often without a permit and always against any logical rule of security, leisure, nature and demography. It is a decline in the health of Montreal and its protectors, roots citizens.
