I love my Hitachi 10.8v screwdriver. Then I bought the brushless drill, then just last week bought the impact driver. Love them for my diy stuff around the house. Obviously not as powerful as 18v, but enough for my needs.
You've got to have good power tools nowadays they make life so much more easier. At the moment I have dewalt drill and site radio and I'd be lost without them. Great video Rob keep them coming
Nice one Rob , I have a drill driver and the radio . Couldn’t agree more about the customer care , first class . I’ve had a couple of issues with the radio, both sorted out promptly with no hassle .I need a couple of those 5 ah batteries but they are a bit pricey .
Seen almost all your videos Rob, could you do a video on hiw to maintain your trowels e.g wrap up for xmas for safekeeping. Also there are NO videos at the moment on how to properly sharpen your chisels. Cheers.

Thanks for getting back, the run is approx 5m and FFL is 150 mm above outside ground. There is a dpm under concrete floor so I’m happy I have done all the obvious solutions, letting it breath, non sealing paints etc... The Cottage is from 1840, I will give it a go next month was just wondering if you had tried it?
if the damp injection wasn't successful then as surprising as that sounds you will probably have to do a similar solution to what we had to do a few years ago on a house that had this problem. We chopped out 3 bricks and left 3 in place, and alternated that along the length of the wall, in the gaps we bedded DPC (leave it long both ends to lap the adjacent DPC later)and inserted the bricks back but I strongly have to emphasise that we slate compacted these in really tightly, that alone should take you at least 4 days, by that time you can start chopping out the ones you left in place to join up the DPC and do the same bricking/compacting process.
Hi Rob, have you ever completely cut out a bed joint to insert physical DPC on 9 inch Flemish bond? I have a damp issue on internal wall that injecting hasn’t fixed. I’m going to cut the bed out in metre sections and insert dpc and refill joint. Just wondering if you have tried it. Great vids. Regards Pete
Hi Pete, I was wondering if you could give me a little more information please. with regard to how long a run this is, and what is the height of finish floor inside in relation to the ground level outside. Thank you
@@robsonger1 good choice you wont go wrong, you can also get battery adapters so you can use dewalt batterys on makita machine and makita betterys on dewalt machine, thus giving you best price and convience. Good luck
I have a similar kit different makes though . Dewalt , ryobi, ,sthil. I have that hitachi large drill , I would like the cordless grinder would be very handy , I have a cheap corded one from Argos does the job cuts steel ,paving flags , wall capping (coping ) no bother to it with a faithfull masonry blade . Although this next thing is not a power tool, far from it in fact ,it’s a top class piece of kit that would be right up you alley rob in Dutch is called a steenkruiwagen it’s a brick and block cart I made from the frame of an old wheeel barrow . Best thing you’ll ever use for moving paving flags about . They are commercially available in the u.s.a and the Netherlands never saw them here or on u.k websites. Another thing I have is an American mortar hoe. great for mixing mortar / or concrete in a barrow when doing small jobs or for cleaning up shovel dug footings etc . A large draw hoe will do the same job . The American ones have 2 holes in them much like the blades of the bell mixers .
rob songer ruclips.net/video/MWXRWk_d0yk/видео.html you will see the Dutch cart at around 13 seconds into the video .I did 2 basic evening welding courses a few years back tig and stick welding so I made up the cart from a frame of an old wheel barrow. I have a whisk as well rob but I only use it for skim coat I’d have a decent mix made with the hoe by the time I’d have it set up. . That mortar hoe even on days when I won’t be using it for mixing I bring it with me it has loads of other uses.
Buy yourself Arbortech AS170 Brick and Mortar Saw you will fine they are 40% faster and 100% cleaner than a disc cutter this machine will save you a lot of time which we say time is money it's a great all round tool for many different projects check it out
ah yes, those Arbortech's are awesome, and to be honest when I went to the tool fare the Arbortech was top of my list but there were none there. I had used one all summer on a repointing and repair job on an old country house. Brilliant machine. But at £900+ they were a little too much for my budget

Pete Moseley Tank it from the inside, strip all plaster off, cement with waterproofer then tar paint 2coats, then bond and skim. Problem solved.
